The Lions finish their season opener with a stellar win. At least on paper anyway. The Lions intercepted Darnold 5 times with a terrifying looking secondary.

Glover Quin leading the interceptions list of the game, with 2 interceptons while the team as a unit forced 5 interceptions in total. Darnold however, did air it out for 325 passing yards on 17 passing attempts. Stafford however, passed for 202 yards and 3 TDs on 15 attempts.

Remember the year that the Lions went 0-16? The most perfect imperfect season? Well, now they're one win away from beating a struggling New England Patriots that have only 2 wins on the year so far and going 16-0 into Playoffs while already having a 1st round bye locked in week 15 already. Nothing is set in stone, but things couldn't look more promising. A lot has changed in over a decade!

Lions win the Super Bowl, and the NFC North continues to reign supreme for the 3rd season in a row. The two seasons before this have been entirely belonging to the Bears, although Detroit gave them a run for their money previously last season. This time, Detroit comes ahead throughout the whole season as the Bears fell apart completely after their former coach retired from the league, and the Lions look like the next team to beat.
