Final Blog for Super Bowl Champion Packers

It is time to write the concluding blog for this Packers team, which finally brought home the Lombardi trophy in the final season of Genesis. The team had been blue balling fans for years, dominating in the regular season and making deep playoff runs, only to be let down. This team changed all that, finally getting to the "climax" of a Super Bowl win, beating the Jaguars (and former Packers QB Darnell Levingston), 45-35. The score makes it look closer than it was, as the team's defense came up with 3 straight pick 6s (you read that right) to give them a commanding lead near the end of the first half, never looking back from there. The win provided needed closure to lifetime Packers Aaron Jones, Davante Adams, and David Bakhtiari, who all appear destined to have their numbers retired by the franchise. It also vindicates the team's decision to stick with QB Jordan Love, who beat both Aaron Rodgers (backup QB for the Giants who they beat) and Darnell Levingston, two former Packers QBs that he competed against for the job. Along with the Giants, the Pack also beat the Cardinals and frequent playoff adversary Panthers during their Super Bowl run. The team accomplished it with balance, sporting a top-10 scoring offense and defense, with both units playing great complementary football during the run. OLB Jack Bowen was named Super Bowl MVP, grabbing one of the 3 pick 6s and adding 2 sacks for safe measure. Go Pack Go!
