The Packers front office put together an interesting free agent and draft class. In free agency, the team was rumored to be interested in multiple big name defensive linemen, however ultimately settled on signing DL Larry Ogunjobi to a 1 year deal to help solidify the front 7. Both of the team's other signings came at the TE position, where they signed TE Trey Burton to a 1 year deal and relatively unknown TE Max McLaughlin to a 4 year deal, expressing confidence that these additions would make a significant improvement to their offense. It was the Packers' draft picks which really surprised fans. In the 1st round, the Packers somewhat surprisingly and not surprisingly took a QB, drafting QB Darnell Levingston. The front office expressed their belief that he was the best player available and that they are looking to be a "quarterback factory." Jordan Love did not appear thrilled by this decision, however he said all the right things to reporters. Still, many wonder how long Jordan Love will remain in a Packers uniform. In the 2nd round, the team surprised many experts by picking LB Sidney Jones, an athletic freak out of LSU. The team expects him to compete for a starting LB job immediately. In the 3rd round, the team added some young secondary depth in the form of CB Lamar Tutt.
