With 4 games left in the season, the Packers sit atop the NFC North with an 8-4 record. In their last 4 games against the Lions, Vikings, Dolphins, and Falcons, they went 3-1, with their only loss yet again being a heartbreaker and the cause of high blood pressure for many a Packer fan. QB Jordan Love, while still inconsistent during this stretch, has slowly continued to improve his play and numbers as the season has gone on. HB Aaron Jones has already cleared the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the season, though his average yards per carry have noticeably dipped from last year. WR Davante Adams has re-emerged as the team's #1 receiver, posting nearly 200 more yards than the next closest player. Free agent signing TE David Njoku has been solid, posting 450 yards and 3 TDs, although the team and fans alike expected him to be more of a difference maker. The team has finally gotten rookie WR Will Washington more involved in the last few games, scoring his first TD along the way. On the injury front, C Corey Linsley is expected to return next week and provide much needed reinforcement to the Packers' o-line. Defensively, MLB Marcus Groves is still leading the team in tackles and TFLs. 2nd year edge player (who still cannot rush the passer) George Patton has led the team in sacks with 5.5, with all of those coming from him being unblocked on blitzes. Za'Darius Smith, who just signed a massive extension to remain with the team, has somewhat picked up his play, improving his sack numbers to 4.5 on the season. In the secondary, FS Darnell Savage has broken out as a star, leading the team in INTs with 6, deflecting 5 passes without giving up a single catch, forcing a fumble, recovering a fumble, and scoring a defensive TD. On special teams, K Tucker McCan has been a perfect 19/19 on FGs this season, with a long of 59 (please don't be jinxed). Punter JK Scott has mainly provided emotional support to the team, as he has only had to punt the ball a whopping 7 times this season.
