Another 4 games, another 4 inconsistent performances from the Packers, who now stand at 5-3 on the season after going 3-1 in their last 4 games against the Bills, Bears. Cowboys, and Vikings. Each of their wins were by double digit points, while their only loss was a heartbreaking 1 point loss. Through 8 games, the team is 6th in points scored and 8th in points allowed, showing off a balanced team. Individually, HB Aaron Jones is 1st in rushing TDs and 7th in rushing yards despite being 18th in the league in carries. QB Jordan Love has been inconsistent but makes plays when it matters, with his 14 TDs and 14 INTs being a bit misleading as his INTs are primarily from hail mary throws and throws when the game is already decided. The receiving corps has been balanced, as WRs Callaway, Adams, and Goodwin all have around 500 yards on the season. Noticeably, rookie WR Will Washington has not been involved in the gameplan as many thought he would be. On the injury front, C Corey Linsley broke something (probably his manhood) and was placed on IR. Elgton Jenkins has impressed in his first season at RT, allowing 0 sacks on 407 snaps. Defensively, 2nd year LB Marcus Groves leads the team in tackles and tackles for loss, while EDGE Rashan Gary leads the team in sacks with a whopping 4. Disappointingly, Za'Darius Smith has only recorded 2.5 sacks in his contract season, although he has recorded an interception and forced 2 fumbles. Safeties Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos have formed the best safety tandem in the NFL so far, combining for 11 INTs, 7 TFLS, 75 tackles, 1 FF, and 1 TD. Kicker Tucker McCann is a perfect 12/12 on FGs this season, including a 59 yard kick. The team rewarded him with a 4 year contract extension. To start the 3rd quarter of their season, the Packers will face the division rival Lions followed by the Vikings. Go Pack!
