Despite a strong 6-0 start, the Dolphins have faultered in their past 2 games. Although both losses were only by 1 score.
The Dolphins have primarily focused on a strong offense to win this season. They currently lead the league in points per game and total yards, are 2nd in passing yards per game and 6th in rushing yards per game. Ryan Tannehill and Kenny Stills have been the leaders so far on offense. Both are near the top in the statistical categories per their position.
Despite giving up 21 points per game on defense, they have only allowed more than 25 points 3 times all season (2 of those being their losses). In other words, their defense is pretty consistent in their performance. The leaders on defense so far are Cameron Wake and rookie Minkah Fitzpatrick. Cameron Wake leads the league with an otherworldly 18 sacks so far. He has gotten multiple sacks in all but 2 games so far and has at least 1 sack in every game. Minkah Fitzpatrick on the other hand is tied for 2nd in the league with 6 INTs and is tied for 2nd on the team with 21 tackles. He has been instrumental in both the pass and rush defense and looks to be a force for years to come.
Overall, despite their losses in their past 2 games, the Dolphins are looking in prime position to make a strong playoff run this year. How will the Phins do? Only time will tell.
