Colts Crush Jaguars 31-10 in Week 5, Complete Season Sweep

The Indianapolis Colts put on a commanding performance in Jacksonville, rolling to a 31-10 victory over the Jaguars in Week 5 and completing the season sweep of their AFC South rivals.

Quarterback Anthony Richardson was efficient, finishing 15-23 for 162 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Richardson’s poise and accuracy were on display as he found Mitchell for 7 catches, 105 yards, and a touchdown. But it was Jonathan Taylor who stole the show, rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, including a game-changing 40-yard run. Taylor's explosive performance gave the Colts control of the game from start to finish.

Defensively, the Colts were relentless. Shaun Womack III made his presence felt with an interception that halted a potential Jacksonville comeback, and the defense kept Trevor Lawrence uncomfortable all day. The Jaguars’ offense never found a rhythm, with Lawrence completing just 15 of 35 passes for 179 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions.

Posey was one of the few bright spots for Jacksonville, rushing for 84 yards, but the Jags couldn't generate much else. Brian Thomas Jr. caught the lone touchdown, by then the game was slowly getting out of hand, and when they entered the 4th is was certain after a couple more Colt's scoring drives.

With this win, the Colts assert themselves as the early favorites in the AFC South, while Jacksonville has plenty of work to do if they hope to bounce back. The Colts are rolling—can they keep it up? As Indianapolis moves forward, their well-rounded attack and strong defense are beginning to take shape, making them a team to watch in the coming weeks. For Jacksonville, it’s back to the drawing board as they prepare for a crucial stretch of games to stay in the playoff hunt.
