- THE LEAGUE  will use the GroupMe app (available on IOS/Android) for user communication.

- THE LEAGUE will also use Daddy Leagues for a user interface.  If you are not currently on Daddy Leagues, please go to http://www.DaddyLeagues.com and create a user profile.  The commissioners will then add you to THE LEAGUE'S site.

TEAM ASSIGNMENT
- Current team owner (i.e. user) is locked into team for at least 3 seasons before being able to switch teams. (We want you to see how you manage your team, don't mess up and then want to switch to a team in a better situation) 
- Current team owner will be grandfathered into THE LEAGUE with CURRENT team if you have played 3 consecutive seasons.  The following year edition of Madden you will have first right of refusal to retain or release team. **Grandfathered users will only have rights to the team they started with in THE LEAGUE.


GAME SCHEDULE/ADVANCE
Users have 24 hours to get in touch with their opponent following advance or forfeit their game.

Games are to be started at or before Hard Start Time (HST).   Any user needing to go on auto pilot (AP) must do so himself, Commissioners will not be responsible for placing anyone on AP after HST.  Teams with no user will be considered CPU.  All CPU games must be played a Sim W will not be rewarded for CPU games.  Follow CPU game protocol below.


Regular Season

Thursday night/Friday 11:45 PM EST (HST)*Only on weeks scheduled to be 3 games a week

If there are connection issues after HST, advance will take place 1st thing the following morning based on Commissioner availability.  If this becomes a pattern where a user has connections issues and always waits to play to HST, user could be subjected to Death Penalty.

Playoff and Pre-Season
11:45 PM EST (HST)

Note: If user(s) place themselves on Auto-Pilot (AP) or are not online and ready to play by the hard start time (HST) and have to be put on AP by Commissioner he will FORFEIT the game. *The opponent will have until 1 Hour from HST to register the win. 

TEAM MANAGEMENT RULES
The following rules govern how a user is to manage this team within the franchise.

1. Free Agency (FA) Signings
- Season 1 FA Draft (3 rounds) is held at the beginning of pre-season week 1 to select Free Agents (FAs); selection order will be determined by  team ratings (lowest to highest)
- FA signings is governed by the Waiver Wire rule below

2. Waiver Wire
Wavier Wire applies to regular season and playoffs
- Players who are released into free agency are considered "Restricted Free Agents (RFAs)" until they have cleared waivers (week after his release)

Note: Violation shall result in the release of player(s) review and discipline issued by Commissioners

3. Trade Rules
- No trading w/ a CPU (non-user) controlled team. Violation shall result in loss of player traded and a draft pick determined by the Commissioners.
- No trading rookies
- 4 trades allowed per season
- Notification of pending trade must be submitted to the Commissioners via Trade Channel for review/approval prior to being submitted and accepted via the Madden CFM. Failure to post a trade in the chat is a violation. Violation shall result in the trade being voided completely, in addition the loss of a draft pick being forfeited (determined by the Commissioners).
- Trades proposed in the chat are final unless they are not approved by Commissioners.  ex. Once trade has been announced teams cannot back out of trade before approval is given.  All trades should be worked out and final when proposed.  If trade is not approved both users can work to an agreement or either user can back out of trade.  This is to prevent side trade or accepting better offers after trade is announced.
- Trades will be evaluated by the league office to ensure the following: (1) Teams have not violated any of the restrictions in the Trade Rules (2) Trade exemplify value for both teams involved (3) Trade does not create cap challenges/problems for either team.

Note: Violation shall result in the review and discipline issued by Commissioners. Commissioners also reserve the right to issue any punishment to any Users whose conduct is deemed to be detrimental to The League.

4. Minimum Roster Requirements
The following requirements must be adhered to before the start of Week 1 regular season game (regular season and playoff games played while non compliant is a violation of the rule)
Minimum active players total: 53
Minimum active players per position on Offense (OFF)
QB=2    HB=3    FB=1    TE=2    WR=4    Total Olineman=8
Minimum active players per position on Defense (DEF)
Total DE/DL= 7 (with at least one DT) OLB=4    MLB=3    CB=4    FS=2    SS=2    K=1    P=1

5. Depth Chart Requirements
- Starting position MUST be the designated position
- Defensive players CAN NOT be on the offensive depth chart and visa versa
- Designated positions take priority in the depth chart
- You must exhaust the designated position in the depth chart before placing a non designated position in the depth chart (use all of the position players then use your backups) according to the backup rules below:

Backups in the depth chart must comply as follows:

Position Changes
- Quarterback - can't be changed
- Running back- can't be changed
- Fullback -can only be changed to RB or TE
- Wide receivers- can't be changed
- Tight End- can only be changed to FB
- Offensive Linemen – to any other position on the OL (RT to LG, C to RT etc)
- Defensive Linemen – to any other position on the DL (RE to DT, LE to RE etc)
- Defensive Ends and Linebackers – OLB to DE and DE to OLB (OLB must be 250 lbs or more to convert to DE)
- Linebackers – to any other LB position, FS or SS can change to LB if they are 225 lbs or more
- Defensive Backs – to any other position at DB (CB to FS, SS to CB etc)
-  You are only allowed one (1) position change per player during the regular season. A player's position can be changed during preseason but only within the above stated rules.
Note: 1st Violation shall result in Warning or player/user Suspension and the user has to fix the issue; refusing to correct the depth chart will result in death penalty from the league at the discretion of the commissioners

6. Scores/Stats vs. CPU
You may play CPU as many times as necessary to secure a win without injuries
- Can NOT exceed 49 offensive points vs. CPU Defensive and Special Teams TDs do not count towards your points.
- No QB w/ more than 400 yards passing vs. CPU
- No QB w/ more than 4 total TDs vs. CPU
- No RB w/ more than 150 yards rushing vs. CPU
- No RB w/ more than 100 yards receiving vs. CPU
- No RB w/ more than 3 total TDs vs CPU
- No TE w/ more than 150 yards receiving vs. CPU
- No TE w/ more than 3 receiving TDs vs. CPU
- No WR w/ more than 150 yards receiving vs. CPU
- No WR w/ more than 3 total TDs vs. CPU

VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN PLAYER SUSPENSIONS OR USER SUSPENSIONS AT THE COMMISSIONERS DISCRETION


7. Franchise Tag - you can only franchise tag at his designated position; you can not change his position and then franchise tag him
Note: Violation shall result in death penalty from the league at the discretion of the commissioners

8. Salary Cap - all user teams must be under cap by regular season week 1 and must maintain the salary cap
Note: Violation shall result in death penalty from the league at the discretion of the commissioners

9. Quitting Games - Quitting during a User vs. User game is not tolerated unless the following rule below RUN IT UP RULE is violated.
- Violation shall result in death penalty from the league at the discretion of the commissioners
- RUN IT UP RULE: a USER who is winning the game by  9 or more points with less than 30 seconds and comes out in a passing formation  (3WR or more) or chooses a running formation and passes the ball, only in this instance is the losing USER qualified to quit due to winning USER trying to run the score up.   MUST BE VIDEO EVIDENCE. 

10. Mandatory Twitch Games
The following games are mandatory games to be twitched by the Home team:
- Regular Season Game of the Week (according to daddy leagues.com)
- Playoffs (Wildcard, Divisional, Conference Championship and Super Bowl)
If Home team can not twitch due to connection issues or other reasons, the Away team can elect to twitch.

GAME PLAY RULES
The following rules govern the play that goes on during online franchise games.  Users are responsible for abiding by these rules and penalties imposed during the game. Commissioners also reserve the right to issue any punishment to any Users whose conduct is deemed to be detrimental to The League.

11. No Huddle - no huddle is allowed at any time during gameplay

12. Defensive Lineman Movement - You can NOT manually move a DT or DE off the line of scrimmage before the ball snap. Have to rush at least 3. Dline or LB
Note: Violation shall result in an automatic 1st down.

13. Manual Motioning WR - if you manually motion a WR, he must be clear of the line of scrimmage (outside the OT and/or TE) before you snap the ball. 
Note: Violation shall result in a loss of down.

14. 4th Down - You can go for it on 4th down at any point during the game out of the Special Teams formation (no subbing starting QB in Fake FG attempts). 

Otherwise the you can go for it on 4th Down following 4th down rules below:
- Between User 40 and 50 yard line - 4th and Inches
- Between 50 and opponent 40 yard line - 4th and 3 or less
- Anytime pass the opponent 40 yard line or Anytime in the 4th Qtr.
Note: Violation shall result in a loss of down.

15. Chew Clock - users can turn on chew clock only in the following situations below:
- losing opponent is down by 21 points or more (optional to turn on)
- winning opponent is up by 35 points or more (mandatory to turn on until the deficit is 28 points or less and MUST only run the ball)
Note: Violation shall result in player suspensions.

Game Disconnect vs. User - if a disconnect occurs in a User vs. User game, you must follow the rules below:
- you MUST restart the re-created game (i.e. score and situation recreated to the point of disconnect) within 30 minutes of the disconnect (unless otherwise agreed upon by both owners).  If a user is not online ready to replay in 30 minutes, he will FORFIET the game and be placed on auto pilot for an automatic loss; IF GAME IS PRIOR TO HST

- Forfeit means an automatic loss (opponent has the option for the commish to SIM-A-WIN or play the game. If he elects to the play the game, there will be no restarts and the outcome of the game will be final.)

- Restart/Recreate game MUST be done within the grace period between HST and Advance time (1.5 hours after HST).  Games not complete by the Advance will be sim.

- Injuries prior to the game being disconnected shall be carried over to the re-created game and subsequent weeks.  A player injured and did not return to the game prior to the disconnect will result in a 5 week injury suspension by default.

- Injury pauses are allowed for the user to capture a screen shot of the injured player as PROOF OF INJURY in case of disconnects.

Note: The following are suggestions to do before starting a Madden game to help minimize connection problems:
- Unplug your Xbox from the power source for 30 secs
- Restart your modem and router
- Go hard or direct connect (if possible) between your xbox and modem
- Make sure no one else is on the internet streaming (especially Netflix)
- Unplug your Kinnect (it can cause connection problems)

17. Microphone - every owner must have a microphone available to chat; however, you don't have to stay on the mic talking to your opponent, but you must be able to chat during the game if needed.

18. No Pause - you are allowed to pause at the beginning of each quarter and after an injury diagnosis from the commentator (i.e. Injury Pause). Injury pause can be used to reset your depth chart and more importantly to capture a screen shot of the injured player as PROOF OF INJURY in case of disconnect; otherwise, you will need to take a timeout if you have to pause during game play.

Note: Users who show a pattern for consistently violating these rules will subject to a 2nd degree charge (4 player 4 game suspension).

Note: Suspended players CAN NOT be traded; they can only be released into free agency (FA)

PENALITIES FOR RULE VIOLATIONS
Violation of any of the Team Management rules above during a given franchise season will result in the following charges/penalties (penalties are reset each season):

Death Penalty User(s) will be dismissed from THE LEAGUE for the remaining of the season.  After the season Commissioners will review, possibility of re-invite back to the league will be determined at that time.

DISCLAIMER: Commissioners have the right to apply the Death Penalty to those Users who chose not to follow the rules. Commissioners also reserve the right to issue any punishment to any Users whose conduct is deemed to be detrimental to The League.
