AMLoB Season 31 MVP Candidates

With us being a little over halfway through the season there have been some strong MVP candidates to emerge from the rest of the league. They have put their teams on their back and elevated their play to potentially grab the very coveted honor. More QB’s than usual on the list so let’s see where they rank.

  1. Derrick Henry, HB/TEN: Derrick Henry has been as good as it gets this season putting up another eye popping campaign. Henry in 9 games has put up 1,685 total yards and 17 total TD’s. En route to a 8-1 record, Henry has been a huge piece but not the only one for this team (stay tuned). Look for Henry to finish the season strong and capture yet another MVP with his dominant performance at the RB position.

  • 1,438 Rush Yd./ 7.8 YPC/ 13 Rush TD/ 247 Rec. Yd./ 4 Rec. TD

  1. Ezekiel Elliott, HB/DAL: Elliott has gotten himself back to one of the top performing backs in the league taking the Cowboys to a 8-1 record. Zeke has 1,400 total yards on the year and 15 rushing TD’s. He has been a huge boost for this offense and has really helped out young QB Alex Sawicki as this team has shown to be strong this season. With a top ranked defense aided from the ball control exhibited from Zeke this could be another special season for him.

  • 1,169 Rush Yd./ 7.0 YPC/ 15 Rush TD/ 231 Rec. Yd.

  1. Jordan Love, QB/CAR: Love has been purely efficient this season. On pace for an even better season than his 1st (Last year) in Carolina. Love has 33 total TD’s to only 8 INT’s this season and he’s top 10 in PYPG. Helping guide the Panthers to a 7-2 record, Love looks to continue to make plays and keep up the efficiency that eluded him last season. If he keeps this up he could have a solid chance at MVP.

  • 76.4 Comp. %./ 2,479 Pass Yd./ 27 Pass TD/ 8 INT/ 90 Rush Yd./ 6 Rush TD

  1. Chad Hargrave, QB/TEN: As I said earlier to stay tuned. Hargrave in his 2nd season has taken another leap to catapult into the MVP convo. He is on pace to shatter his passing numbers from last year as he has been the other huge reason the Titans are 8-1. Hargrave has proven he’s more than just a game manager and is a QB that can lead this team to victory even if King Henry is struggling. Already with a AFC title as a rookie, look for him to help this team try and reach that pinnacle again and maybe come away with a Super Bowl title.

  • 72.7 Comp. %./ 2,481 Pass Yd./ 26 Pass TD/ 15 INT/ 36 Rush Yd./ 3 Rush TD

  1. Joe Kingman, QB/CHI: Kingman has taken a hot finish from the season last year to a great performance at this point through 9 games. Coming in with high expectations being the 3rd overall pick in last year’s draft came with lofty expectations as he was projected to be a superstar stepping in. Well he has lived up to the hype this season with 24 total TD’s and being one of the top passers in the league. He has the time clicking right now with a 6-3 record and in playoff contention. Look for him to finish the season strong and stay in the race.

  • 64.9 Comp. %./ 2,770 Pass Yd./ 23 Pass TD/ 12 INT/ 36 Rush Yd./ 1 Rush TD
