1.) Buffalo Bills (12-1)

Retaining their spot at #1 we have the Bills who have been playing at a really high level all season, even in their loss it was a one score ball game. With the highest point differential in the league, there is a lot that this team has done to opponents with their 30 point scoring average to 13 points allowed per game. Josh Allen is playing elite and efficient with 29 TD passes to only 11 picks with a 63.4 completion %, and a 103.9 QB Rating. Shady has been holding it down on the ground as he’s on pace for 1,000+ rushing yards. The defense has forced 44 takeaways along the way to attribute to this team’s success as well with that being the highest count in the league. Tough games against the division rival Pats and the Jags for the 1 seed are up next for this Bills team.

[Prev. Rank: 1]

2.) Jacksonville Jaguars (12-1)

The Jags continue their elite play over these last couple seasons as they roll into week 15 with a 12-1 record. The leading MVP candidate, Leonard Fournette, has played like a beast the entire season as he’s averaging almost 100 rushing yards per contest to go along with his 17 TD’s. Blake has been playing a lot better as of late as the turnovers have cut down for him. The defense is flourishing too as they’re only allowing 14 points per game this season. Taking top 4 in every category this defense has played monstrous despite the lack of turnovers they’ve gotten which just means they suffocate and dominate opponents. With this defense and offense playing like they are now, this could shape up for an interesting week 16 matchup against the Bills.

[Prev. Rank: 2]

3.) Kansas City Chiefs (11-2)

Jumping up a spot, we have the Chiefs coming in at #3 with their very impressive 11-2 record. The defense has been the amazing thing with this team as they lead the league in rush defense and are only allowing 14 points per game. The overall defensive numbers may not look to great but the “bend but don’t break” attitude they have had worked great for this team. The offense has been really efficient as they’ve kept the turnovers down and grind out drives for points constantly. Mahomes has played solid especially having 20 passing TD’s to only 10 picks despite his underwhelming completion %. Hunt is getting it done on the ground as he’s almost at 1,000 on the ground with 7 TD’s. 3 tough games to end the season will keep this team tuned for the playoffs.

[Prev. Rank: 4]

4.) Baltimore Ravens (10-3)

The Ravens have really came on as of late bringing them to a 10-3 record heading into week 15. The offense has been great with Lamar Jackson having another impressive season that he just piggybacked from his rookie season last year. They haven’t quite gotten it going on the ground like they would like but with the way this air attack is going they really don’t need to do much on the ground to be effective. The defense has struggled as they’ve allowed 24 points per game and struggle for stops. With the division already locked up this team is playing these last 3 games strictly for potential seeding purposes. The Ravens probably will continue playing at high level so they can go into the playoffs with momentum. Watch out for this team come the postseason.

[Prev. Rank: 9]

5.) Carolina Panthers (9-4)

After some mid season struggles, this Panthers team looks like they are back on track and ready to finish the season strong. Winning 3 of their last 4 including a thriller in LA against the Rams they are finally looking like their early season selves again. The running game has stayed strong as they lead the league by almost 12 yards per game on the ground with the dynamic duo of Le’Veon and CMC playing great football. Cam has been efficient with 22 TD’s to 10 picks and a TD on the ground as well. The defense does continue to ail the is team though as they struggle constantly to get stops with any type of consistency. Overall this Panthers team has played good football this year as they look to continue that trend through the last 3 games and hopefully playoffs.

[Prev. Rank: 8]

6.) Detroit Lions (8-5)

Keeping their spot at #6 amongst a slew of 8-5 teams, the Lions look to be at the top of that heap. They’ve struggled lately losing 2 of their last 3 to a Bears team that could potentially come back to haunt them later if they don’t win out and the struggling Chargers, but sandwiched in between was a huge win against the current 1 seed which could prove vital when determining seeding as well. The defense has shined for this team as they play well against the run and the pass as well as forcing turnovers. The offense has struggled though more specifically Matthew Stafford as he hasn’t found a rhythm yet this season. Kerryon on the other hand has played great though punching in 14 TD’s on the ground. 3 tough games to end the season could determine this team’s fate.

[Prev. Rank: 6]

7.) New York Giants (9-4)

Dropping 2 spots to #7, we have the Giants who are currently the 1 seed in the NFC. This team has struggled with consistency that’s led to the losses they’ve had this year because when this team is on and rolling there isn’t much that can be done but when they’re off they’re off. Lauletta is the biggest part of this because of his inconsistency at the QB position, but with Saquon holding it down on the ground he can afford to have a few missteps with the ground and pound approach along with play from their really good defense. The defense doesn’t have the eye popping numbers to match their play but that just shows how good they are when you watch the film. The Giants are currently the 1 seed but week 17 against the division rival Eagles could change that quickly.

[Prev. Rank: 5]

8.) Cleveland Browns (8-5)

Falling to #8 we have the Browns, who are on a 3 game losing streak and doesn’t look like its changing any time soon. This Browns team started off about as hot as anyone starting off 6-0 but going 2-5 since then. Chubb has slowed down considerably since his hot start although he is on pace for 1,000+ yards and has 14 rushing TD’s. The defense hasn’t played well at all in the slump and the offense hasn’t done much either, and with a loss this week the Ravens clinch the division so we’ll have to see how this goes. Maybe this team will turn it around down the stretch but it doesn’t look likely as was said earlier. This team’s being in the top 10 may not be the case once the end of the regular season rolls around. They could really go 8-8 to finish it out.

[Prev. Rank: 3]

9.) Arizona Cardinals (8-5)

The Cardinals dropped a couple spots to number 9 due to an issue similar to the Giants in the NFC, inconsistency.the one thing that is always elite is the defense as they suffocate and play great football in most situations but the offense can struggle to put up points. Mack has fallen off the radar since a hot start early which hasn’t been good and Risen has played better with Kirk at WR which is a plus for this team. The defense on the other hand has played great as they’re a top 10 defense in all categories proving just how great they are. Reddick is putting up another amazing season with 17 picks, 3 FF’s, 3 sacks and a TD. The edge rushing tandem has a combined 28 sacks which is amazing with good coverage on the back end. Maybe this team hits their stride again late.

[Prev. Rank: 7]

10.) Los Angeles Rams (8-5)

Making it into the top 10 for the first time in league history we have the LA Rams. This team has been solid all season as they’ve gone 6-3 since a mediocre 2-2 start. They’ve been surging as of late and look to hold onto their wild card spot and possibly make a case to win the division if the Cardinals don’t hold up through these last 3 games and the Rams do. Goff has players well as the offense trucks along with their committee at RB led by Gurley. Aaron Donald continues to anchor the defense as he’s racked up 20 sacks so far this season and the 1st round rookie Neill holding it down at the MLB spot. Watching this team this season has shown that they’re capable of competing in a tough NFC, with the playoffs around the corner, if they make it this team could be an issue.
