1.) Carolina Panthers (4-0)
The Panthers have continued to roll as they did last season after a 4-0 start and what is currently 21 straight wins. Watching this team this year they look like a team that’s focused and ready to attempt to repeat. The defense is playing great after 2 shut outs and a game where they held their opponent to 10 points after an abysmal showing in their week 1 OT win against the 9ers. Kizer is back at an MVP level, Cox is making huge plays still, CMC making it happen on the ground, Sutton is continuing to be dominant especially in the red zone, and then there’s Curry who is back to his rookie form. The defense has looked dominant as of late and look to hold onto that level of play. It’s early but this team looks like they can make another run at a title.

2.) Detroit Lions (4-0)
This coach has this Lions team off to another hot start after returning this team back to the playoffs last year. Looking to improve on last season’s performance but disappointing end they have come out swinging with big wins against the Jags and the Rams. The defense is playing at an elite level and they are currently 1st in PA and 2nd in total defense. The great thing is the fact Lewerke isn’t playing at the level he’s capable of yet so that could mean really big things for this team. The WR’s have all had equal opportunities to shine with Fairley being the leader of this group with Bridges making it happen on the ground. It’ll be exciting to see how this season plays out for the Lions as they look to capture the team’s first Super Bowl title.

3.) Cleveland Browns (3-0)
The regular season juggernaut Browns continue to roll as they have crushed each of their opponents. I know it’s early but this team looks like they could potentially break the spell and return back to the Super Bowl as they did a few seasons ago. Godspeed has proven to be an amazing talent, along with the career of what looks like a potential Hall of Fame player, Dontre Mach. This team is as elite as they come on both sides of the ball and they continue to be well coached too. They may have dropped from 2 to 3 but only because the Lions have looked amazing this year. After this team continues to search for playoff success, I must say, I don’t think this teams ceiling is just being a great regular season team. Maybe they can prove doubters wrong this postseason.

4.) New England Patriots (3-0)
The Pats have shown up once again this season after a strong showing last season and the season prior to that one. This coach continues to make this team go and also plan to have more success this postseason if they can make it there.with the Jets not looking as good early, this could be the Pats division to lose this time around and for the first time since season 2. Coming off of a huge win against the 2x champion Cardinals has this team looking really impressive early. Brandin Cooks continues to play at a ridiculous level, and McNabb has officially settled in as this teams QB. This squad’s schedule on the back half will be grueling and we’ll see if this team and coach can handle it. Maybe they do, and if so they could be dangerous come this postseason.

5.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0)
Making a big jump from the middle of the pack to the top 5 takes a lot of work. This Bucs team is firing early with a huge win against the loaded Chiefs. I guess the coach is finally putting it together after seasons of being on the cusp of a playoff team and Canty helped speed up that process. This squad looks to compete in the NFC South this year and with the matchup against the Panthers coming week 7 we should learn a lot about this team. The defense has been playing at an elite level early in this season and they want to keep the same energy throughout to make a run in the playoffs for the first time since season 3. Harper and Atwater are making this offense go and even though the yardage may not show it, this team looks good on that side. Definitely look out for this team.

6.) Cincinnati Bengals (3-0)
Cincinnati has made it happen early this season as they look to put together one last super bowl run with this team. Fiedler is looking solid in his 2nd season and we all know what we get from Avery Farley being the elite back he is. The defense hasn’t looked great but they’ve been solid which isn’t bad given them getting older on that side of the ball. They’ve put a beat down on opponents in the 3 wins and want to continue that trend throughout the season. I think this coach has them playing at a good level with a lot of energy right now and look as good if not better than they have the last few seasons. A couple future Hall of Fame guys on this defense are looking to make an impact for maybe their last time in a Cincy uniform. The window isn’t closed yet but how much space is there?

7.) Denver Broncos (3-1)
Leave it to this coach to make a statement with yet another team. It’s not surprising at all how he has this team moving with the rookie RB Belcher toting the rock for him, rushing for at least 102 in every game except one. He has QB Carl Wheezer playing lights out football and this defense is creeping into the top 5 in the league as far as numbers go as well. Martin Wilkerson has proved his worth early just like fellow rookie Belcher and has been Wheezer’s favorite target out wide. Add in Bamba on defense after a good stint with the Bills and you have a team that has performed really well. It’ll be interesting to see if this coach can keep it up with this team but with previous teams in short stints, he’s shown that he can make it happen.

8.) Kansas City Chiefs (3-1)
Loaded, after another stellar draft, this Chiefs team is playing great football. Aside from the loss to the Bucs they’ve been in complete control of every game so far. Battle and Tarrant have made it happen at the WR position and Mahomes has been solid outside of one really bad game. As always you know what you’re getting from this coach and this team defensively, they make plays all over the place and are very stingy. There’s plenty of talent on this Chiefs team as the rookies they draft continue to step in and immediately contribute. Toefield has made a huge impact opposite of Landrum which at times it looks like a competition as they try to outdo each other with picks. This team’s playoff run was cut short last season but early they look like they can try again.
[Prev. Rank: 7]
9.) Arizona Cardinals (2-1)
Hangartner is back at the helm and this team looks a lot better for it. The offense has been putting up crazy yards as the rookie RB Malcolm Greene has helped a lot on the ground and former division rival WR Christian Kirk has made a splash for this team too. As T.J. Logan has aged this coach has been looking for his replacement and I think he found it with the young man Malcolm Greene. This organization has won two Super Bowls in the past 4 seasons and want to add another to the trophy case this season. The only hang up they’re having is on defense which with all the talent they have there I’m sure they’ll figure it out, whether the coach or the players themselves have to do it. All in all this team is in good form early and should be dangerous come this postseason.
[Prev. Rank: 3]
10.) Los Angeles Rams (3-1)
The Rams coach has this team looking like they can make noise in the playoffs as the pieces on offense are starting to blend this season jumping this team from 23 all the way to the top 10. The running game has been revitalized with Melvin Gordon handling the RB duties since they let go of Todd Gurley last offseason. Jerry Rice Jr. is looking like the promising talent we saw in his rookie and in some of his second season. Manusky is playing good football right now and is leading this team under center with the promise he had coming out of the draft. The defense hasn’t quite come along yet which could spell trouble if there’s ever a time when the offense struggles like they did against the Lions. This team has looked good early and maybe they keep it up.
