1.) Cleveland Browns (10-0)
New Power Rankings but same old story with the Browns in 1st. I think they’ve held this ranking more times than anyone has in AMLoB history but this team and this coach have earned. As this team continues to be great this season, especially after a solid win in the battle of undefeated teams against the 9ers, the Browns are continuing to roll. A lot of expectations on this team though as experts have picked this team to go all the way to at least the AFC Championship Game. I think they can make it happen even with some tough games down the stretch, but they’ll have to replicate this regular season consistency in the postseason if they want to make their Super Bowl dreams a reality.
[Prev. Rank: 1]
2.) New York Jets (9-0)
The Jets coach has done a great job with this team this season. He took a bold strategy in the offseason by trading picks to gain established vets and it has paid off, at least in the short term. The division leading Jets still have some tough games ahead as they play the 8-1 Pats twice as well as a game against the Chiefs who are playing well. Watson is a front runner for the MVP and with his leadership as well as Tyrann on defense, this team could be onto something. Let’s see how they finish down the stretch and as well as make a playoff run if they can make noise once they get there. The coach has an ego on him and having that edge can be good and/or bad so let’s see how the rest of season shakes out

3.) Carolina Panthers (9-1)
This Panthers team is playing great football right now as the schedule down the stretch gets tougher. Outside of a tough loss to the Jags and a good win in OT against the Cards this team has won every other game by at least 21 points. The game against the Cards was a tough defensive battle between elite teams in Charlotte with the Panthers coming out on top so don’t be surprised if we see that matchup again in the NFC Championship game. The experts expect a super bowl run out of this team with some even predicting a win so this team has a lot of pressure as they head down the stretch and into the postseason as they can clinch the 4th straight division by winning their next 2 games.

4.) San Francisco 49ers (9-1)
Small drop from 2 to 4 with a close loss coming at the hands of the #1 Browns this week. Roger Tapia has been playing good football since McNabb was traded to the Pats in week 3. Snell has been playing well in the backfield at HB as well with the great WR’s on the outside. This coach continues to push as he looks to gain his 2nd division title in the least few seasons. He’s beaten some quality opponents with a couple more down the home stretch. The way this team is playing I can completely see this squad making a run at it and having a great playoff experience as they’ll have shown by then they’re battle tested. 9-1 with your only loss being on the road to the #1 team is tough but it shows you can handle the lights.

5.) Kansas City Chiefs (7-2)
The Chiefs have officially bounced back after a poor finish to last season. Tarrant is playing at a level that you typically see vets at, Battle in my opinion is the best WR in the league, Mahomes is playing out of his mind as well as a revamped O-Line and not to mention Landrum and the stingy defense. Aside from a couple of losses due to the coach taking a step back for personal reasons this team has played great football. One expert in particular thinks this team has enough talent and is playing well enough to win the Super Bowl this season. A couple tough games down the stretch but I can see this team continuing to roll and make some noise in the post season. The stellar draft has showed itself this season.

6.) Detroit Lions (7-2)
The Lions stumbled against the Packers but overall they have made a huge splash with a new coach at the helm. The team is back to the top level group after a season of disarray where the original coach who’s now in Oakland retired, but now this team is back on it. Bachie is making huge plays on defense as a rookie leading the league in INT’s along with the already stellar impact of Jarrad Davis in that LB group. As far as the offense is concerned Lewerke and Fairley have already formed a great QB to WR connection as they just click naturally. I think this team has what it takes to make a deep playoff run even with some tough games down the stretch. Lewerke is in MVP talks so if he closes out strong it’s completely possible it’d be his.

7.) Jacksonville Jaguars (7-2)
The Jags stay at 7, they’ve looked great outside of the #1 Browns beating them after a huge win against Carolina. This team has been impressive even with the rookie QB Huston not playing great football but solid football. With a couple of injuries this team has dealt with it could be tough but I think this coach has the situation under control. The back half of the schedule gets tough for this team so I expect to see some great games from them, but we shall see how they handle all of the adversity down the stretch. The coach had some personal obligations he needed to take care of so he’s put for a bit but hopefully that doesn’t cost him a playoff spot in the loaded AFC. 11 wins could still have you outside when it’s over.

8.) New England Patriots (8-1)
The Patriots took a tough loss last game at the hands of the Giants to dismiss their chance at an undefeated season. Other than that though this team has played really well with McNabb at the helm. Him and Brandin Cooks have meshed so seamlessly to form a great duo and Talbott is making it happen out of the backfield. This team has a huge game against the Jets coming up next though and still another bout with them after that as well as a tough game against the Chiefs. After making a push for the division title the Pats are right there again but this time looking up at the Jets. The Pats were in a similar position to this last year and blew it down the stretch so let’s see if they make it happen this year.

9.) Cincinnati Bengals (6-3)
The Bengals have been playing well for the first time since a couple seasons ago. Farley is starting to look like the workhorse he has been proven to be from his early success, Fiedler has made nice strides since the start and the defense has looked stout. Still have a slim chance at the division but the likelihood isn’t too promising. This team still has a good shot to make the playoffs but they have to continue their winning ways including a huge matchup in week 17 with the division rival Browns. All in all I like what I’ve seen from this team and I think they can be dangerous by the time the playoffs come around it just a matter of focus and will from this solid team. Can the Bengals make AMLoB history with 4 appearances?

10.) Houston Texans (6-3)
This Texans team continues to be a scrappy tough team even after a coaching regime change. Tagovailoa has continued to grow in his sophomore season along with the production of Devonta Freeman in the backfield. Bach has led the way in his 2nd season on defense as this team looks to make its way into the postseason. There’s plenty of competition for those wild card spots so they could possibly be on the outside looking in. Looking at what this team and coach has accomplished in his 1st season with the team has been great to see. Per sources I hear Dillon Tyler is the glue that keeps this team together and inspired as the 4th year vet continues to contribute even without playing.
