These Panthers continue to roll after the first half of the season posting a 3-1 mark over the next 4 games bringing them to 9-3 one the season. McCaffrey is back and has made a huge difference just as he had been doing since before his injury and returning from it. After a close game with the Seahawks, a game where the Panthers came back from being down two scores late, winning 30-28 they went on to win their next game against the Vikings after falling apart late in the game but a really strong start kept it slightly out of reach. Their next game against the Redskins ended in a 19-18 defeat in a tough battle between the two teams but a interception turned safety late sealed their fate in that game. The game against the Saints the Panthers defense played lights out football netting a DPOW for Shaq Thompson and a dominant win for the Panthers as McCaffrey’s ability to make plays enhanced the offense. An evaluation of this Panthers team through 12 games on the home stretch, is they are a playoff team and to that point a very tough out. The defense has continued playing at a very high level and the youngsters continue to make plays. The offense is flowing with McCaffrey back in the mix and if this team stays healthy they can make a deep run in the playoffs.
