Small bump in the road during what is a long season

After that hot 4-0 start the Panthers cooled off considerably to start the 2nd quarter of their season losing 2 games in a row to division rivals, the Buccaneers in a 14-13 nail biter and 24-10 to the defending champion Falcons. This team ended up rattling off 2 more wins when McCaffrey got back healthy and into the mix to get back on track and leave them 6-2 on the season which is still solid after a great start. From the looks of it the offense missed their Pro Bowl RB Christian McCaffrey whose production in the first 2 games had the Panthers offense looking unstoppable. Cam has played solid football at the QB position and WR’s have been making plays as well. The defense continued their strong play with CB Daryl Worley playing well along with rookie FS Sean Evans and DE Trey Hendrickson playing at a high level still. The Panthers 1st round pick Ashley McIntosh is starting to settle in and get comfortable as well as James Bradberry. At 6-2 the Panthers, who didn’t make many moves during the offseason other than the draft, have played solid football and continue to look like contenders oozing with young talent on both sides of the ball especially the big contributions from the rookies as well as the 2nd and 3rd year guys. Cam is showing his leadership and McCaffrey is back in the saddle at RB so this 2nd half of the season should be an exciting one. As the fans chant #KeepPounding they wanna see how they play on the back half where they struggled last year.
