Play calling
Custom playbooks are allowed. Ensure that your playbook is visible to your opponent and on-stream.
This is a TRUE SIM League. We require players to vary both the formation and play calling used during a game, for both offense and defense. Users are required to create and utilize a scheme, not abuse exploits, glitches and “money plays.”
On Offense:
calling the same play/formation repeatedly while changing WR/TE/HB routes with Hot Routes DOES NOT constitute varied play calling.
You may not hike the ball and run to a sideline to throw a pass. Your QB must drop back and go through progressions, unless it is a designed run play.
In the event of a lopsided game, both Users should utilize the “Chew Clock” feature and are encouraged to take actions to keep the clock moving (running the ball, staying in-bounds, not calling timeouts, etc.).
On Defense:
calling the same play/formation while adjusting coverage's DOES NOT constitute varied play calling. There are over 200 different plays on offense and defense you shouldn't be calling the same play repeatedly. You should be able to run up to 25 -30 different plays each game.
You must rush at least 3 every down on defense
Pre Snap adjustments:
you can only move 1 player per presnap if it’s not a natural line/lb/coverage shift. This eliminates all the silly pre snap moves some do to manipulate a.I. (aka shit you do in ranked or mut).
Bringing the LB you’re usering down to the line of scrimmage and dropping back after the hike is NOT allowed. We all know about the exploit that causes the oline to try to block you instead of the dlineman in front of them and that leads to a lineman getting through clean asap, keep that mess out of the league.
4th down
Users may “go for it” on 4th down in only the following circumstances:
1. Trailing an opponent by 10+ points, at any time during the game, regardless of field position.
2. When yardage is 1 yard or less, but in opponent's territory, at any time during the game.
3. Less than 2 min remaining in the first half, regardless of score and field position.
4. Trailing or tied with opponent by any score, in the 4th quarter or OT, regardless of field position.
5. Coaches decision, any time not listed above, any place of the field ONLY ONCE per game.
Disconnects
1. In the event of a game disconnect, the following options are available:
2. Attempt to pick up the game at the point of disconnect
3. Replay the game
4. Forced Win (Subject to League Commissioner approval, as detailed above)
5. Advance Simulation (Users cannot agree or are unable to replay the game)
Conceding/Quitting
Quitting or conceding a game is NOT allowed under any circumstances. Doing so will result in being permanently removed from the league; No warnings – no exceptions.
Play calling that promotes stopping the clock while “chewing clock,” could be subject to review by League Commissioners.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Running up the score and/or excessively padding stats is frowned upon.
Once a game is “decided,” Users are expected to use a heavy amount of running plays and the “Chew Clock” feature.
Games with lopsided scores and/or statistics may be reviewed by the League Commissioners. If video is not available, League Commissioners may base their decision on an interpretation of the game box scores. Violations of this rule may lead to sanctions and/or being removed from the league.
Mild trash-talking is allowed and even encouraged. However, name-calling, use of slurs and/or personal attacks WILL NOT be tolerated. Violation of this rule will lead to immediate removal from the league.
SCHEDULE
All games must be at least schedule to play within the 24 hour advance time frame from prior advance. The scheduled time must then be posted in the proper channel within the discord server. Failure to do so can lead to a force sim happening at any point after the 24hr time period.
Advances
During the Regular Season, the league will operate on a default 48-hour advance schedule.
We strongly encourage all members of the league to play games as quickly as possible. Should a game be scheduled near an advance, please notify an Administrator in order to prevent being “simmed” over.
Games against a CPU are NOT allowed, and MUST be simulated with a FW given to the non-CPU team. This is a rare occurrence as we strive to maintain a 32 User league.
League Annual Calendar starts at Pre-Season Week 1 and ends at the completion of the Draft.
Simulation
If a game is not played during that time period, the game will either be an “Advance Simulation” or one team may be awarded a “Forced Win (FW).” Forced Wins will only be awarded under certain specific circumstances, such as:
i. If game disconnects with a clear winner late in the game
ii. A scheduled time is missed by one party, but cannot be rescheduled
iii. One party is unresponsive for the entire advance period while the other party has actively been attempting to schedule the game. Screenshot of DM required.
iiii. At the League Commissioners’ discretion, based on circumstances.
All FW requests, and associated evidence, must be submitted to League Commissioners for review no later than 12:00 am (midnight) the night before the scheduled advance. A Forced Loss will NOT be given to Users to facilitate “tanking.”
In the event of an extended absence (vacation, work/family commitments, etc.), please notify the Administrators. Excessive unavailability, without notice, may result in removal from the league.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Roster Size
All teams MUST maintain a 53-man roster throughout the course of the season. Warnings will be provided to teams without a full roster; however, each User is responsible for the management of his team. Lack of a warning from a League Commissioner does not absolve a User from not maintaining a full roster. In the event a game is played with less than a 53-man roster, the User could be subject to sanctions. At all times there must be at least two lineman OL/DL for each position to avoid madden glitches. If you do not keep at least 2 at each position then you will be notified of repercussions.
Contracts
You may not cut a player only to resign them so you can get them on a long-term cheap contact.
You cannot release someone because they have a large contract just to rework their contract for lower cap space. If you cut someone and want to resign them, you will have to wait until the free agent bidding to sign that player back.
You cannot move players to fit a scheme so they can get extra XP when doing exp training. IE: moving RB to WR because you selected to do QB/WR training instead of training RB/WR
Users may edit a Players’ physical attributes (jersey #, handed, equipment, etc.); however, Player Names are NOT allowed to be changed at any time.
Position Changes
A player’s position can be changed only once per season, as outlined below. Changes can only be made before week 4.
A player can continue to play “out of position” after the deadline by use of the Depth Chart/Formation Substitution/Package mechanics but cannot be edited to the new position. Any changes to a player position after Week 4 will subject the User to sanctions and/or removal from the league.
Xfactor players are not allowed to have their positions changed
The following position changes are allowed prior to Week 4:
HB <-> FB/WR
FB <-> HB/TE
WR <-> TE (WR 6’4 =+, 235 lb =+ , 85 spd =-)
G/T<-> G/T
DE <-> DT/OLB
DT <-> DE
OLB <-> DE/MLB
MLB <-> OLB
MLB <-> FS/SS (FS/SS 70 blk shd=- , 215 lb =+ , 85 spd =-)
CB <-> FS/SS
FS <-> SS/CB
SS <-> CB/FS
(NOTE: A team cannot have more than 2 Centers on a team at any one time. Centers are NOT allowed to play any other position, except Center. If a Center is to play any position that Center, he must be edited to that new position.)

Trades
Trading is permitted ONLY with another User team and MUST be completed as a single transaction. Multiple transactions to facilitate a single trade will NOT be allowed.
The League Trade Deadline expires at Regular Season Week 8.
Teams are limited to 3 trades per season. Players placed on the trade block, MUST be placed on the Trade Block in Madden and a link to the DaddyLeague player card should be posted in the #trade-block forum in DISCORD (Please do NOT post screenshots).
All trades must be submitted to the #trade-review forum of DISCORD for tracking purposes. Trades cannot be submitted within Madden until approved by the Trade Committee.
During the Live Draft, Draft Picks in Rounds 2 through 7 are permitted to be traded to other User teams, but are limited to only other Draft Picks. Trades of draft picks in those rounds do not count towards the trade amount restriction above, however any trade must be posted in the #trade-alert forum. Players cannot change hands during the Live Draft. If a trade is deemed of unfair value, sanctions may be levied by commissioners.
All players drafted in the First Round of the Live Draft by a specific team must play for that team for a MINIMUM of one season. Collusion with another User to draft a player in the First Round for trading purposes will not be tolerated and would subject both Users to sanctions.
Miscellaneous
This is a sim league. If you are doing things that aren’t explicitly outlined here that they do not do in the nfl, you will be given one warning.
