The Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart recently went down with a broken collarbone in his game today against the Buccaneers. He was hit by Bucs MLB Kwon Alexander behind the line of scrimmage for a one yard loss.

Stewart attended college at the university of Oregon and was a first round draft pick back in 2008, good luck to him on his road to recovery for next season.

The Chicago Bears clinched the NFC North after their 35-10 victory in Minnesota this weekend. The Bears' defense paved the way to victory on Sunday forcing six turnovers and taking one back for a touchdown. 

Jordan Howard ran the ball twelve times for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kyle Fuller was the star of the game. He had three total tackles, a fumble recovery for a touchdown, and a pair of interceptions.

The Washington Redskins have signed HB CJ Spiller last night in hopes of building him up to be a good fit for their west coast type of offense. CJ Spiller was a unanimous All-American and spent his time playing college ball at Clemson University.

Another player, LG Shawn Lauvao, was released into free agency. He was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and spent his college years playing at Arizona St.

A heated matchup between the now 5-10 Panthers and 12-3 Falcons took place earlier this evening. The final score of the game was 38-17. Cam Newton displayed a fierce array of weaponry on offense, going 21-31 in passing, with 276 yards, a TD, and 3 INT. Falcons star running back, Devonta Freeman, suffered a dislocated hip late in the third quarter against the Panthers. Freeman is expected to miss seven weeks, taking him out of the playoffs.
