Welcome Everyone - We have some very simple rules for the Madden 22 XXL League:
Game-play Rules:
NEVER play the CPU or an opponent on Auto, these are forced wins.
Tanking is NOT allowed. Play out all 17 games of the season regardless of your record. Hence the new feature “Head Hunter”
Do NOT pull the cord or quit games. 2 game suspension for quitting games
If you are conceding in game, chew clock and let your opponent know.
Coach & GM:
Must create a coach or GM when joining. Coach firing is off, so if you created coach will not be fired or retired. When being a GM it’s you duty to keep your franchise from redlining. If this happens you will be fired and have to be demoted to a coach.
Setting up game times
You must DM your opponent and tag in the chat. DM superseeds chat. No answer from your opponent will result in a force win. (please allow ample time for your opponent to respond.)
When games are scheduled and your opponent doesn’t show at the time agreed upon. (aka no call no show) Within at least 30 mins after game time. The win will go to the person who showed up on time. If a time cannot be worked out prior to the sim it will be a fair sim. (If the person reached out for a game time day one of the sim and their opponent responds the next day for a game time. The win will go to the one who has been waiting to setup a time frame to play.)
Desync Games:
In a close game, the game will be started over. In a blowout up by more than 17 points, the game will be awarded to the person who is winning.
It is up to the person who is winning, whether or not they want to replay the game with the points given back to them.
Play Calling:
General
Make sure you mix up your play calling for OFFENSE AND DEFENSE! DO NOT run the same FORMATIONS OR SETS ALL GAME. don’t run same personel all game either.
No Huddle cannot be ran more than three times back to back. ( Unless you are in the 2nd quarter or 4th quarter trying score to win or tie)
Same Play cannot be ran more than two times back to back.
Roster Management:
No more than 7 players at one position on your depth chart by Week 1 Regular Season (practice squad is not included)
Don’t manually sub RB at FB ,if formation has a FB leave FB in don't sub HB
Cant manually sub in a corner at safety who has speed over 92.
The only player position changes that are ALLOWED are the following:
Offensive Line = Can be moved anywhere within the offensive line
Defensive Line = Can be moved anywhere within the defensive line.
Linebackers = Can be moved to right, left or middle.
DEs may be moved to OLB
OLB may be moved to DE.
DB to S (speed threshold 88 or lower)
S to LB (speed threshold 85 or lower with a minimum weight 220+)
WR to TE (Speed threshold 88 or lower with a minimum weight of 220+)
No position switching to get extra XP, or to get a cheaper contract signed.
NO other position changes are allowed.
4th Down Rules:
4th and 2 or less before the 50, after the 50 you can go for it.
4th quarter it’s come back mode, play to win if your down and if your up by 3 touchdowns please punt. Fake punt and Field goals are allowed.
Defense:
ALWAYS rush at LEAST 3 players.
Blow Outs:
Do NOT run up the score on your opponent or pad stats.
If you are up big, please chew the clock. This will also help prevent your players from getting injured.
Onside Kick:
If you are going to onside kick you must call the actual play. You may NOT try to squib up the middle when your opponent is in onside kick return because the game does not allow you to audible.
Playoffs:
All games must be streamed. If one cannot stream due to connectivity issues a previous play pic on 2-4th down is acceptable. Playoff games should be knock-out within 24 hours. The max we will go is 48hrs.
Off-season:
Resign period will follow right after the super bowl and will remain open until the following morning
8-9 am est. Unless all teams resigned their players. FA stage 2 will begin right after the advance from the re-sign period. Depending on draft day will determine when the next advance.
Draft Pick Limits: A max of 3 1st round draft picks are allowed per draft. For rounds 2-5, the limit is 3 per round.
New owners must play 3 games before making any trades AND 1 full season before trading a 1st round pick.
Draft:
We draft 1-5 rounds the last 2 will be simmed. The pre-season will be moved every 5 mins until week pre-season week 4. So ppl can cut their team down to a 53 man roster.
TANKING IS NOT ALLOWED AND YOUR DRAFT PICK WILL BE TAKEN AWAY IF FOUND TO BE TANKING
