After losing in spectacular fashion in the NFC Championship and up against the cap yet again, the Dallas Cowboys are expected to be making significant changes to the roster.
Despite the cap increasing by over $10mill this season, the Cowboys are expected to be ~$11 mill over the cap next season. Having 6 picks in the 1st 2 rounds of the draft, will help alleviate the pain of letting stars on big contracts go. The Cowboys have already decided to let starting WR Gallup, recently signed TE Burton, and solid backup TE Shultz all walk this offseason as they can't afford to re-sign. Trubitchsky has also been notified he can seek a deal in FA, after starting several games while Dak was injured.
Cowboys have been rumored to be shopping Xfactor players such as Demarcus Lawrence and Zeke Elliot, and even rumors that Superstar QB Dak could be on the trade block have started to surface.
Look for the Cowboys to move one or 2 of their top players on big contracts, and fill the roster out with draft picks and bargain value vets. Their biggest needs before any moves going into the offseason are WR, TE, Interior DL and LB, but that could change is Lawrence, Zeke or Dak are traded.
