Monty Python and the Holy Locks: 

This week there were some major upsets that people weren't expecting to happen. Even though the Chargers were a +4 they were taken by almost half of the guys which was a let down. The Cowboys were a heavy favorite taken which handled their business against the Falcons with ease. We only had two guys who went perfect this previous week and they were Smitty and myself. I am currently on a roll these past 3 weeks not losing a single bet, which has really helped increase my winning percentage. Overall everyone had a winning week except for Madnaiss which ends his perfect season on picks. The race to finish with the highest winning % is getting tighter.

Ravens +4 Vs. Bears- After the Ravens coming off against a tough loss from Strawblacks and the Dolphins I think the Ravens will want to bounce back and make a statement in their matchup vs the Bears. They'll have to stop a good running game led by Montgomery who is a top 3 RB in rushing yards. This will be a low scoring game that will come down to the end so I have to lean with taking the extra points. 

Colts -8 Vs. Bills- Both of these two teams covered for me last week so it is hard taking one over the other but I have to take the offensive machine in the Colts against an up and down Bills team coming off their first win of the season. The Colts will have to play a lot better than they did last week against the Jags but I think they get their team all on one page and are able to cover this 8 point spread.

Packers +1 Vs. Vikings- Adams and Jones. That is why I am taking the Packers this week. This duo combo is unstoppable so far and I just don't see the Vikings led by Kellen Mond being able to keep up offensively. The Packers will have to stop the 1-2 punch of RB's the Vikings have in the rookie Nwangwo and Dalvin Cook. If these two can get going, Valley may be able to slow down the pace of the game and keep the time of possession in his favor.

Unfortunately we hit 2 out of 3 in the parlay in back to back weeks. Just shows how tough it is to go perfect when selection 3 underdogs in Primer in a league stacked with talent across the board. I did say last week parlay was the Lock of the season and I was so wrong. This week there will be no promises.

Everyone's winning percentage seems to still be on the up and up having only 1 handicapper have a losing % this week. This week we also had our first push which was the Vikings -3 against the Ravens the final score was 22-19. The game was in the majority of the guy's picks. So with the push happening this week we ended up having 3 guys go 100% on picks which was only 2 since the push does not count. The guys who went undefeated this previous week were Madnaiss, Doc and myself. Doc and me were the first people to have back to back perfect weeks. However there are only 2 guys now with perfect winning % and they are Madniass and Doc.

Bills +3 Vs. Jets-  I really like Mike and the Bills in this situation getting the points as the underdog. I think Mike can win outright so the points are bonus. Josh Allen has been slowing proving his way in this league as Zach Wilson has done the opposite. The Jets have had some close games in the past except for a blowout from the Colts. I think he will keep it close but I think Diggs will make a play at the end to seal it for Mike.

Colts -5 Vs. Jaguars- This Colts team has been an offensive juggernot and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon. Between JT and Wentz this offense is clicking on all gears and ready to defend their home terf and come away with a win. If the Colts can stop Etienne this game may get ugly early.

Cowboys +1 Vs. Falcons- We have a handicapper matchup between Blades and STD. Both teams are good offensively but known for their throwing errors as well. I think having Zeke will be the difference maker in this one being able to pound the rock and control the game clock will be huge. I do expect Kyle Pitts to get a lot of focus so we will see if Blades can shut him down.

We are 3 weeks into the Holy Lock segment and as the season goes on the winning percentages increase. No one is below a 50% winning percentage, showing these handicappers know their stuff when it comes to Primer football. We had 4 players who went perfect this past week and they were Smitty, Spades, Doc and myself. We all either had the Chargers +3 or the Bills +13 which both hit. We have two people tied for 100% as well as the 2 brothers tied at 83%.

Monty's Picks:

Packers -1 Vs. Chiefs- I think this will be a shootout between two high powered offenses but seeing what Aaron Jones can do on the ground and knowing they need to chew up clock late they'll be able to makes me lean towards the Packers. Knowing Gramz loves to bring heat on early downs though makes me hesitant but I thin Rodgers having gun-slinger will make a huge difference.

Chargers +5 Vs. Eagles- I don't trust Hurts to be able to pull this one out against a tough defense led by Bosa and James. I think Hurts and the Eagles to even have a chance Hurts will have to be creative on the ground. The chargers offense I think will be too much for the eagles defense to handle especially now tih Curtis Samuel picking up a developmental upgrade.

Vikings -3 Vs. Ravens- I think the Vikings will have trouble with Lamar on the ground but I think they'll be able to take advantage of him through the air. The Vikings looked tough in their close loss to the cowboys last week giving me hope Kellen Mond will be able to bounce back. I also think Vikings pull this one out with ease if he can get Dalvin Cook going early.

Overall it was a profitable week for everyone who placed their locks for Primer week 7. We had a combined total 18 plays and only 4 total losses. We even had two gentleman who went 3/3 and they were Blades and Madnaiss. The favorable picks that most people took were WFT -2 and Panthers +8 who both cashed. The Holy Locks is growing in the Primer league and we only expect to expand and have more handicappers.

Seahawks -3 Vs. Jaguars- I think the overall experince that Russell Wilson has is the deciding factor in this pick. I know Lawrence is very efficient with throwing the ball with a lot of dink and dunks but I think the offensive firepower of the Seahawks will be too much for the rookie QB to keep up with and this may turn into a blowout early.

Chiefs +5 Vs. Giants- Chiefs coming off an upsetting loss to the Titans and being held to 206 passing yards will spark a fire under Mahomes and Hill to really get the deep ball going. Not a single receiver had over 100 yards receiving so I think the Chiefs will resort to what they are best at which is slinging it deep to Hill and Hardman. Chiefs do need to stay aware of the Saquan not just in the run game but mostly in the passing game who has been a huge threat through the air. 

Chargers +3 Vs. Patriots- I think this line should be smaller if not even between these two squads so I have to lean towards the extra points and also divison mate. Herbert will want to get up early in this ball game and not be forced to throw it a lot late knowing how well this Patriots team can play on defense. I expect this game to come down to the very last drive and whoever has the ball will come away with the win.

Coming off a shaky week going 1 and 3 with my picks finishing with a 33% winning rate, I feel I have an obligation to bounce back and go 3 for 3 this upcoming week in primer. Smitty also had an off week himself who went 0 for 3 with a 0% wining rate but we both lost on the same picks and those were the Rams +2 and Seahawks +1. This week we have more than just Smitty and Me to follow on picks, we have Spades, Madnaiss, STD, and Blades joining us giving their picks for Week 7 of Pimer!

Ravens +5 Vs. Bengals- I am rolling with the hot streak of the Ravens. Lamar is finding a way to get it done through the air and is also giving teams fits on the ground as well. I think this game style will give Doc and the Bengals fits as they try to stop Lamar and company. I could almost see Doc's undefeated record coming to an end this week.

Colts +4 Vs. 49ers- I really like the Colts in this situation. The Colts have a high powered offense and has been giving a lot of teams problems through the air and on the ground with Jonathan Taylor. I was surprised to see Colts an underdog here so I really like this line. 

WFT -2 Vs Packers - SPADES SPADES SPADES, the only team to win out of my last week selection so I am going back to the well and righting his hot hand. It'll be a match to watch as Jordan Love comes back to Green Bay. Might be able to give the Packers a piece of his mind of what they are missing out on and making them regret trading him. -2 I'll take it!

Entering Week 6 of the Primer season the lines set by Daddy Leagues seem to be spot on so being consistent will take a lot of research and studying but I promise to finish the season with a high winning percentage. I will only be picking ATS in this segment which means the team has to win by or not lose by so many points. If it is a (-) this means you subtract however many points from the final score and if they still win then they cover, same thing with (+) you would add the points to the final score and if they win then they cover.

EXAMPLE: Broncos -4 Vs. Chargers +4. Final score Broncos 31-Chargers 28. In this case the Chargers would cover their spread because adding the 4 points to the final score would make it Broncos 31-Chargers 32. 

Monty Python and the Holy Locks selections:

Rams +2 Vs. Giants - I think Ostrich has found his groove in the new madden and is ready to explode and return to his old ways of dominating opponets on both ends of the ball, I couldn't believe the Rams were an underdog so I'll take the points.

WFT +2 Vs. Chiefs - Spades has had an up and down season to say the least but seeing the Gramz and the Chiefs make a few offensive mistakes of their own makes me believe Spades will be able to take advantage of them and come away with a win in a high scoring ball game. Smitty 

Seahawks +1 Vs. Steelers- With Rice being gone on vacation and losing his last two games due to being on auto-pilot, I believe this is the reason the line is where it is at. I think Rice will bounce back hungry wanting to avenge his team and come away with a win on the road.
