Post season Recaps here

Indianapolis Colts Recap

The Indianapolis Colts were off to a great start during the 2019 PPL season. Amassing 9 wins through the first 11 games with #12 overall pick ,Tyreek Hill, leading the team with over 1100 all purpose yards. It was looking like it would be a career year for Hill until he suffered a season ending shoulder injury that would see him out 38 weeks , missing the post season for the second time in his young career. Thin at the reciever position, the Colts made a desperate attempt to fill the void by bringing in Taylor Gabriel and Tyrell Williams in a trade with Cincinnati. While the move remedied the loss of Hill the first game, it would ultimately be to no avail as they would drop 3 of their final 4 regular season games and struggle to find an identity on offense without the help of their top draft pick. The Colts then suffered a heartbreaking 31-24 loss to the Miami Dolphins at home after holding a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. In a press conference after the game, coach Brian Bearbahls had this to say about the team's late collapse "It's really tough, but I'm proud of our guys for fighting. Josh played a hell of a game. I guess there was just some miscommunication on some of the throws late, he thought LB was a power modifier and not a high throw modifier. I just told him let's not use LB anymore. But he's a great player and I think he will learn from this. We will be back stronger as a team next year and we will show PPLS league what this Bearbahls regime is about." The loss came just days after Coach Bearbahls' brother, Bug, who is head coach of the New York Giants in the partnering FSL League, suffered his own second straight post season defeat. The brothers are now a combined 35-13 in the regular season while 0-3 in the postseason. Needless to say that father  Bill Bearbahls, who is a former owner of the Minnesota Vikings and the 1981 Australian Midget Tossing Champion,  would not be proud of his sons' post season success at this moment. Indianapolis has a strong roster returning for the 2020 season. With young superstars Josh Allen and Tyreek Hill, and superbowl veterans Bobby Wagner and Zach Ertz. Coach Bearbahls will look to get back into the playoffs and attain the family's first superbowl title, along with his father's approval.
