After a heart-wrenching 41-39 loss in Week 1, the Arizona Cardinals wasted no time making adjustments. In a bold move to bolster their defense, the Cardinals traded their 2026 second-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for linebacker Trenton Simpson.
Simpson, a 24-year-old MLB with a 76 overall rating and a promising development trait, brings much-needed athleticism and playmaking ability to Arizona’s defense. With missed tackles and poor defensive positioning being key issues in their season opener, the acquisition of Simpson demonstrates the front office's commitment to cleaning up mistakes and keeping opponents in front of the defense.
"We need to not miss tackles and keep the players in front of us," the team emphasized after their Week 1 loss. Simpson’s arrival is expected to help in both areas, providing a spark to a defense that struggled to get crucial stops.
This move also signals the Cardinals' confidence in their offensive firepower, choosing to invest in a player who can make an immediate impact on the other side of the ball. With Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. lighting up the scoreboard, the focus now shifts to ensuring the defense can hold its ground.
Cardinals fans are eager to see how Simpson will fit into the lineup and whether his presence can help turn things around in Week 2. With high expectations and a playoff push in mind, this trade could be the catalyst the defense desperately needed.
After weeks of speculation, the Arizona Cardinals have made their decision: Kyler Murray will be the starting quarterback for the 2025 season, while rookie sensation Mark Bishop will spend the year on the sidelines. Despite an impressive preseason performance that had fans calling for change, the team ultimately opted to stick with its franchise quarterback—at least for now.
Behind closed doors, the Cardinals explored trade options for Murray but failed to find an offer they deemed worthwhile. With no clear path to move on, the front office chose to roll with the former No. 1 overall pick for another season. Head coach Marvin Harrison Jr. and his staff believe that with improved accuracy and better chemistry with Arizona’s weapons, Murray can lead the team to the playoffs.
Mark Bishop will now spend the season as the backup, a surprising turn of events considering his electric preseason performances. The rookie outperformed expectations, showing poise in the pocket and a dangerous deep ball. However, the coaching staff believes he would benefit from a year of development rather than being thrown into the fire immediately.
"We’re confident in both of our quarterbacks," said Coach Harrison Jr. "Mark has a bright future in this league, but we believe Kyler gives us the best chance to win right now."
The fanbase remains divided. Some support the team's decision, citing Murray’s experience and past success. Others believe Arizona is delaying the inevitable by not handing the reins to Bishop. For Murray, the pressure is higher than ever—every mistake will be scrutinized, and every loss will reignite calls for Bishop to take over.
With Week 1 on the horizon, all eyes will be on Murray as he tries to prove he’s still the man for the job. If he struggles early, the Cardinals may be forced to reconsider their decision sooner than expected.
The Arizona Cardinals find themselves at a crossroads heading into the regular season, with an unexpected quarterback battle taking center stage. Kyler Murray, the team’s longtime signal-caller, entered the season as the undisputed starter. But after an up-and-down preseason—punctuated by a benching in the third game—rookie Mark Bishop has forced his way into the conversation.
Arizona dropped its first two preseason games, with both Murray and Bishop struggling to limit turnovers. The opener was a tight contest, but costly interceptions from both quarterbacks ultimately led to a loss. Game two, however, was an outright disaster, with the Cardinals getting blown out. It was the third game where things took a dramatic turn—Murray started but threw two consecutive interceptions, putting Arizona in a 10-0 hole. Enter Bishop, who took over and led the team to a comeback victory, showcasing impressive deep-ball accuracy and pocket presence.
Despite his tenure, Murray’s grip on the locker room isn’t ironclad. Players are gravitating toward Bishop, who’s proving to be a natural leader and entertainer behind the scenes. However, the coaching staff has yet to tip its hand, making the looming decision even more suspenseful.
One of the most intriguing factors in this battle is the connection between each quarterback and second-year star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. In just one quarter together, Bishop and MHJ exploded for 100 yards. Murray, on the other hand, has yet to build that kind of chemistry with the young playmaker—a concerning trend as the Cardinals aim for a playoff push.
The fanbase is split, with supporters on both sides of the debate. Some believe Murray deserves more time to prove himself, while others are eager to see if Bishop can carry his preseason momentum into the regular season. With a playoff spot as the goal, the Cardinals must make a choice soon—do they stick with their franchise quarterback, or is it time for a new era in Arizona?
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals have fired head coach Jonathan Gannon and his entire staff, replacing him with none other than their star wide receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr. The decision, which comes after a season of significant improvement, has left fans, analysts, and even players stunned.
Harrison Jr., who just finished his rookie season, will not only take on head coaching duties but will also continue playing as the team’s top wide receiver—a dual role not seen in the NFL since the 1970s. The Cardinals finished 8-9 this season, a notable step forward from their 4-13 record a year ago. With playoff aspirations growing, the expectation was that Gannon would get another season to build. However, something behind the scenes seemingly forced the organization’s hand.
The decision to appoint a first-year player as head coach is unprecedented in modern football, but sources inside the organization suggest a key motivator: Harrison Jr. simply wasn’t getting the ball enough. With Arizona’s offense struggling at times to fully utilize their young star, what better way to fix that than to put him in charge of play-calling?
“Marvin is a generational talent, and we trust him to elevate this team both on the field and on the sidelines,” said an anonymous source within the organization. “This is a new era of football, and we’re embracing it.”
Unsurprisingly, the players were caught off guard. Many expected an offensive-minded coach to come in and build around Harrison Jr. and Kyler Murray, but few could have predicted this. Despite the shock, early reactions suggest that the team is prepared to rally behind their new player-coach.
“Look, we all respect Marvin. He’s a competitor,” one veteran player told reporters. “If this is what the front office wants, we’re going to go to war with him.”
Harrison Jr. will bring an Air Raid offense to Arizona, aiming to maximize big plays and create mismatches. It remains unclear whether he will call plays himself or hire an offensive coordinator to help, but one thing is certain—he’ll make sure the ball is in his hands.
As for his coaching staff, a full overhaul is likely, though decisions will be made throughout the offseason. With free agency and the draft approaching, Harrison Jr. will have his hands full balancing player development, game planning, and, of course, catching passes on Sundays.
The NFL has seen bold coaching moves before, but nothing quite like this. Harrison Jr. will need to prove he can handle the responsibility of leading a team while still performing at an elite level on the field. If he succeeds, he could redefine how teams view player involvement in coaching. If he struggles, Arizona’s gamble could set them back in their quest to return to playoff relevance.
One thing is certain—the 2025 Arizona Cardinals just became must-watch football.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2019 an earthquake hit the office of Willy Wonka Jr. and co. it was a memo from the NFL Commissioner’s Office. This memo read as followed:
To: Willy Wonka Jr.
From: Commissioner Mike “Football Genius” DzK

RE: Tanking Penalties
We regret to inform you that over the past several weeks, our league has been investigating you and your team based on the product of Football you place on the field each week. We have come to the conclusion that you and your football team have been not playing to win the game and have instead been “tanking” or losing football games on purpose to increase your draft stock of your pick. With this information we have decided to punish you and your team for these issues.
Penalties
1. Week 16 game vs Seattle Seahawks will be voided, and the Arizona Cardinals will automatically win the game.
2. Willy Wonka Jr. will receive a 5 game ban starting immediately in Week 17. Suspension will continue during Week 1 next season through Week 4. Willy Wonka Jr. will be able to join back with the team in Week 5.
3. The Arizona Cardinals will forfeit their first round draft pick this year.
Football is a sacred game and we wish to see that each and every team comes to play every single Sunday with a single goal in mind. To Win. I am deeply disappointed in you and your football team for going to such great lengths to purposely lose. You have not only cost the League millions of dollars in investigations, time, and lawyers, but you have also robbed your great fan base of Arizona a season of football that they love and enjoy.

A new broadcasting network has risen this year in Coalition Sports CBS. Owned by Brooks and co-host Willy they plan on striving to become the greatest Network ever created. I caught up with Brooks and Willy for a few questions earlier today and this is what they had to say:
"What do you plan on bringing to the broadcasting network?"
Brooks-”We are going to bring actual commentating to this madden league, not just monotone coverage. People talk about gus johnson, well that's the type of energy we're gonna bring.”
Willy-”There needs to be some excitement when you are up in the booth, we want to make you feel like you’re at the game.”
"What do you think of KNN, calling you one of the lowest rated casters?"
Brooks-”KNN is a network that has barely even done any work to criticize, I have no worries about them at all.”
Willy-”Why would we care about the bottom of the barrel in KNN? I’ve listened to a few of their cast when I’m trying to fall asleep, puts me out in a heartbeat. I’ve even heard rumors that their sponsor “Prongles” is a fake company.”
“Interesting, final question: What made you form CBS?”
Brooks-”The needs for quality broadcasting, there’s not enough of it.”
Willy-”Well as Brooks as stated commentary as been less than par and we felt that we could do a much better job than KNN, so we decided to form our own Network.”
Well there you have it folks, looks like competition is arising in the Network business. All that can come from this is better production quality from both Networks so sit back, relax, and enjoy the commentary.
