Preseason Power Rankings

2020 NFL POWER RANKINGS WAY TOO EARLY 1-32

by Bleacher Report

Now that the Super Bowl is in the books and the Colts are the champions, we can move on from the 2019 season and look forward 2020.

There's no rest for the weary, and PYB teams will be spending the next day trying to improve their rosters and make it to the top of the list when games resume in a few days. Between now and then, lets evaluate how teams stack up throughout the season.

32. Kansas City Chiefs (1-15):

After finishing at the bottom for every statistical category on offense in 2019 look for the Chiefs to attack that side of the ball in the draft early and often. Rough season but one win is better than none.

31 New York Jets (2-14):

A suprisingly loaded roster turned out terrible results. Due to poor coaching? If Mambadir doesnt wow the owner this draft, he might be fired. HOT SEAT ALERT

30. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-13-1)

More like shitsburgh amirite? But seriously who was the poor soul to tie this team in 2019? They should be fired by association. The only bright spot on this team was the two QB system led by Lock and Minshew that finished 16th in passing.

29. Arizona Cardinals (4-12):

Despite not playing a user game in 2019 the cardinals CPU won more games than the Chiefs, Steelers and Jets. With Coach Xav at the helm this season look for a rebound.

28. Oakland Raiders (4-12):

After losing to the the future champion Colts 27-35. The league thought the Raiders might be legit. Unfortunately the Cinderalla story ended quickly losing to the Bears 59-10 and Packers 44-21 in consequetive weeks. QB Cam Newton threw 43 INTs, which is abysmal look for him to be replaced in the draft.

27: Cleveland Browns (4-11-1):

When your QB throws 22 TDs and 37 INTs youre not going to win many games. Explains why they were 7th in rushing.

26. Minnesota Vikings (5-11):

A average offense combined with the 30th defense will get you 5 wins consistently. Especially in the NFC North. Vikings need a big speed increase if they want to compete in 2020.

25: Washington Redskins (5-11):

Gave up 100 points.

24: Dallas Cowboys (5-10-1):

Rough year for the NFC East, look for it to continue in 2020.

23: New York Giants (6-10):

10th in passing and 16th in rushing. Look for the Giants to add some OL and another RB to the stable.

22: Seattle Seahawks (7-9):

With lockdown corner Ramsey on the field, opposing teams had a tough time throwing against the Legion of Boom. But were 21st in rushing, if they plan on winning the wild west you gotta stop the run.

21: Houston Texans (7-9):

Number 1 Rushing Team in Madden 20. I'm gonna guess theyll keep running the ball next season.

20: Tampa Bay Bucs (7-9):

Bottom of the pile in every offensive category. Rookie QB Haskins throws 19 TDs to 36 INTs. I sense a new QB coming to Tampa this fall.

19: Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8):

Running only Cover 4 Drop can only get you so far. In this case 8-8.

18. New Orleans Saints (8-8):

If the Saints stopped using ask madden and base aligned coverage every play theyd be a perennial playoff team. Team is old and slow too, hope they have a lot of draft capital.

17. Miami Dolphins (7-9):

Dolphins might be the suprise team of 2020, dont sleep on the Fins. Once they get some speed in the secondary look out.

16. Buffalo Bills (10-6):

Very average statistically. Led the league with 50 INTs. League dickhead. Look for him to start more drama as he loses games in 2020.

15. Tennessee Titans (5-11):

After going 0-9 Coach ATown was fired from Tenessee. New comer Prof Ximus managed to take the dumpster fire of a roster 5-2 over the stretch. Look for the coaching staff to get outside burners in the draft. Titans might be the real deal next season.

14. San Fransico 49ers (8-8):

San Fran has the most speed at WR in the entire league, if youngin Tyree Jackson figures out the ropes theyll be dangerous in 2020. Defense needs draft help BAD.

13. Denver Broncos (8-8):

So close yet so far. Broncos had a chance to clinch a playoff birth and fell apart in the last two games. Look for another close finish in 2020 between them and the chargers again.

12. New England Patriots (9-7):

Opposite of the Broncos, they closed out the regular season on a hot note clinching the wildcard spot. They won the wildcard game but lost to the eventual champs. With a full season to play under a new head coach look for them to win the division.

11. LA Rams (9-7):

6th in Rushing and 32nd in Passing. Madden 20 vibes.

10. Philadelphia Eagles (9-6-1):

After winning the struggling NFC East, Darby gets to the divisional to lose to his big bro Trauma. For Darby to take the next step hes gotta kill his cousin.

9.  Cincinnati Bengals (10-6):

Top 5 Defense in PYB. If they get some speed to match the Ravens watch out.

8. LA Chargers (10-6):

Saquon can tote and Teddy can pass lowkey. Chargers need help defensively but they can score with the best of them.

7. Carolina Panthers (11-5):

If Lamar throws less than 30 INTs the Panthers will win the Super Bowl. Not a tough bar but Dredreezy throws around 35 each season.

6. Detroit Lions (12-4):

Member of the hellacious NFC North. Look for them to continue on their previous success.

5. Atlanta Falcons (13-3):

Traumagoat? TraumaDotLord? TraumaTrump? Or TraumaOverrated? Last season the Traumamaniacs were promised a ring but went home empty-handed. With one season left before M21 will Trauma get a ring?? Maybe once he stops running cowardly formations like Ace Dbl Wing and I-Tight.

4. Green Bay Packers (13-3):

Jet Life Into the Next Life. By throwing 2 yard passes Jacoby wins MVP and is the favorite to do it again next season.

3. Baltimore Ravens (15-1):

After putting on a show in the AFC Championship, the Ravens are a true titan of the league. Coaching staff better take lessons on #ClockManagement if they want to be in the Super Bowl.

2. Chicago Bears (15-1):

Coach Papi is chasing his 5th ring all time. Widely considered a defensive master mind with the best stop n go, they look to build on the offense this offseason.

1. Indianapolis Colts (15-1):

Back to Back Champion (also chasing 5th ring all time). From having a roster that was laughed at to winning it all. As long as Coach Nvme is at the helm, the Colts are locks to be in the Super Bowl.

Chicago Bears Season In A Nutshell

Where to begin.

A city yearning for a championship since 85' got so close again. Quick history lesson, the 85 Bears led by their tenacioius defense swept the league, putting the fear of God into opposing QBs with one of the best running backs to ever do it in Walter "Sweetness" Payton. Decent but not special QB Jim McMahon threw the ball when Walter needed a break. Led by Coach Ditka these hard nose Bears brought the Windy City a Championship. Fast forward 35 years and the Bears led by Coach Papi were primed to do the same thing.

The defense was widely considered the Best In PYB and maybe league history. #1 in sacks with 80, #3 in INTs with 41, #2 in total yards allowed, #2 in passing yards allowed and #1 in rushing yards allowed. They ran through opposing OLines like a hot knife through butter. Kamu Gruger Hill won Best LB of The Year with Superstar Anthony Barr coming in 2nd. Block buster trade added speedy (pro bowl) strong safety Josh Jones to compliment an even faster Rookie in Darnell "21" Savage (pro bowler). Denzel Ward locked down an entire half of the field on his own (ask Trauma bout that) and Khalil Mack shedding your life away from the inside. In perfect harmony.

Similar to 85, they had a generational back in Matt Breida despite not having a ton of yards he shattered the single season TD record with 33, due to elite stick work (without joystick). Cant forget about the Crab Leg Thief Jameis who had the Bears all time best QB season with 4500 yards and 33 TDs. Mitch Trubisky who? :(

All this along with Papi's championship pedigree lead Chicagoians to believe "this was the year", unlike 2006 where apart from a Hester touchdown, the Colts abused the Bears. Or 2012 where in the NFC Championship game Jay Culter tears his knee and Josh McCown gets smoked by the Packers or even 2018 when Cody Fuckin Parkey double doinks an easy field goal to send the Bears to the next round. This time was different. This team was different. And they were different for the NFC Playoffs, defeating the rival Packers led by MVP Jacoby Goatsett and taking care of "The Dot Lord", "he who boxes the run", "he who only loses because of DDA", Trauma. Super Bowl time and the floodgates open vs the only other multiple PYB Champion Nvme and puts a stop to Club Dub. Colts win an ugly one 35-3. Bears players refuse to speak to the media postgame and all you heard from the locker-room was the sound of someone eating crab legs. Nvme and Papi are now tied with 3 Super Bowls in Madden 20 (4 each all time), with only one season left before 21. The score needs to be settled. Can Chicago get it done?!?! Till next season.
