The Detroit Lions (8-7) will host the Green Bay Packers (3-12) tonight in a game that has no playoff implications.
The Packers have said Aaron Rodgers and other starters may not play in this game.
As we approach the last week of the season, the Seahawks (14-1), Cowboys (12-3), Vikings (11-4) and Falcons(9-6) will each march into the playoffs with conference winner keys as the Eagles (11-4), Redskins (10-5) and Bears (9-5) each look to cash in on a wildcard ticket.
In loss to the Vikes, Aaron Rodgers went 16-27 for 154 yards and no TD's. The big stat is his 3 interceptions.
This season Rodgers has 23 interceptions, the first time since 2018 he has had double-digit interceptions. Are we seeing the beginning of the end?
Offense:
Philadephia Eagles running back Miles Sanders ran wild totaling 239 yards, including a 96-yard scamper in a 38-10 blowout home win over the New York Giants.
Defense:
Jerry Tillery recorded four tackles, four sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 17-15 road win over Jacksonville.
Coming off a win against the Giants (1-12), the Packers (3-9) look to ride the momentum again the Redskins (8-4).
Although this is a disappointing season, with players not performing at the level of their real-world counterparts due to poor season-start ratings, the team looks to finish strong as they head into the offseason.
For the 34th time in team history, the Chicago Bears will open their season against the Green Bay Packers when the two historic rivals battle at Soldier Field tonight.
The Bears, who made the playoffs before losing in the first round of the 2018 playoffs, are looking to bounce back after that heartbreaking defeat, and their road to redemption will start with a showdown with a quarterback that has routinely destroyed their hopes throughout his entire career.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has made a career out of torturing Bears fans, racking up a staggering 16-5 record in regular season games, throwing for 45 touchdowns and 5,156 yards. Both marks are his best against any other opponent, and he always seems to step up his game in critical moments.
The Packers quarterback added another shining moment to that legacy in last season’s opener, throwing for 286 yards and three touchdowns to lead a staggering comeback after a leg injury against the Bears at Lambeau Field.
The Packers hope to launch this season on a good note as well.
The Steelers hang on to beat the Bengals in a lopsided win last night. The win brings the men of Steel to .500 with six games remaining in the regular season.
Despite all of the warning, the Steelers lose to the winless London Monarchs 26-20. Many of the Steelers players cried foul after the game citing COMPUTER aided plays by the opposing team. The general consensus was in agreeance with more than 85% of the public surveyed feeling the same way.
Steeler star running back Le'Veon Bell has climbed to the third spot for rushing in the NFL with 822 yards. He has 9 touchdowns on the season.
Le'veon Bell is in top 6 for rushing attempts with 36 (Nyheim Hines, NO leads with 56), but he only has an anemic 104 yards on the season for less than 3 yards per attempt, pitting him 74th of the leagues’ 113 running backs.
Bell said he isn’t worried about numbers and stats, as long as his team wins.
“That stuff doesn’t bother me, I let you guys worry about the numbers,” he said. “The only thing I worry about is getting a letter… W.”
This is Bell’s sophomore campaign after winning the league rushing title two years ago, and finishing in second place last season. It is early in the season, but if the start is any indication, this could be a looooooong one for Bell.
With tough, last second win 20-18 over the Browns, the Steelers clinch the NFC North. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Steelers will look to get healthy over the next two weeks.
Steelers on both sides of the ball have moved into second place in league leaders respectively.
Le’Veon Bell climbed to 2nd on league rushing leader list with 1,013 yards behind Bryce Love of the LA Chargers’ league leading total of 1,242. On the defensive side, linebacker Vince Williams is second on tackle list with 53, trailing Matt Milano of Buffalo who has 58 on the season.
News media reports that the Pittsburg SteelerThe Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger have reached a stalemate in contract negotiations. Big Ben is on the last year of his contract and is looking for a big payday of more than $20 million per year in his next contract.
Some sources say the Steeler brass isn’t willing to pay that as they look to get younger and more mobile at the position.
More will be shared as information becomes available.
Steelers are in the house after a shakeup in management. The team has hired a PR guru to educate and inform the public of the Steeler happenings.
