Washington D.C. — New talent is making its way to the nation capital. After the 2021 Destiny Draft we have added the following players; 6’3 231lb MLB D.J. Jacobs 6’1 208lb CB Josh Alden 6’2 311lb Guard Jimmy Cardenas 6’2 240lb OLB Tyson Dockery 5’9 183lb CB Roosevelt Young 6’5 304lb LE Quin Bryant 6’4 318lb DT Terry Powers 6’2 184lb CB Matthew Rich Look for some of these players to get on the field immediately to help the Redskins out.
Washington D.C. — Guice is certainly making his case for NFL MVP this year. Currently sitting at the top spot in MVP projections. He leads the league in rushing yards, attempts, and TDs. Avg 100 yards per game and 3rd in the league in yards after contact. Will he be able to keep this up and push the 7-4 redskins into the playoffs and win the awards to solidify the season? We will see and it begins next week with a match up against the Browns. One thing is for sure head Coach OG Poc wants to continue to give the ball to who he believe is the best player in the league this year.
Washington D.C. — New Year, Slow Start. After finishing the 2019 season 9-5 and making the playoffs the redskins have not started out like they hoped for. Losing games to the Eagles, Cowboys, and Steelers and winning one game this week against the cardinals to start 1-3. “You know, I’m not too sure why we started off how we did. We didn’t lose anyone in the offseason and added a few couple of pieces. Our opponents were tough but we expect to be in the game with those teams,” said Head Coach OG Poc.
Coming off the win the the redskins look to continue to improve. Haskins might have been the most impressive playing in this weeks game finishing with a perfect passer rating and 3TDs. He will need to keep that momentum going into the bye week because after that will be a tough matchup against the defending Destiny League Champions Seattle Seahawks.
Washington D.C. — The Washington Redskins sit at 9-4 but still 3rd in the NFC East and looking for a way to make the playoffs. Before today’s games it’s currently stands the redskins have the 6th seed. With the last three games remaining against the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys it is imperative that the Redskins keep this 5 game win streak alive to secure a playoff spot. Having beating the Giants already and losing close to both the Eagles (10-13) and Cowboys (13-17), head Coach OG Poc has faith in his guys. “They have put themselves in a position to literally control their destiny and make a mark in the league. To finish the season on a 8 game winning streak and secure a spot in the playoffs with a rookie QB would provide so much for this team in year 2. We will continue to focus on what’s ahead of us and that is a very tough Eagles team. We need to play good in all 3 phases of the game and worry about going 1-0 this week.” We will see how the redskins prepare in the matchup next week in the nations capital.
Washington D.C. — The day after snapping a 4 game win streak in a blowout loss against the 49ers, Head Coach OG Poc had this to say about his team, “We are in a good spot. Started off slow dropping two division games and that has set us back a bit, but here lately Dwayne Haskins has really started to come along. He looking like he did at Ohio State and that’s what we need right now. I let him know on Draft night that he was our guy and he would be the next QB for Washington for the next 20 years. So it was rough to see him start those first 2 games with no passing TDs and losing both, but he has really picked it up. Just looking at the stat sheet he has almost 1500 yards and 9 TDs and 4-1 in the last 5 games. He’s a rookie, I can live with that. His confidence is going to continue to grow, he’ll adjust to the speed of the NFL, and get comfortable with his teammates. Moving forward I want to see him just keep improving and he will be great one day. I also have to tip my hat to our defense, they have stepped up big as well. Big play after big play and really just putting the game on their shoulders and putting in team in a position to win. I can’t say enough about Landon Collins. The amount of work he puts on to get this defense ready each week and makes sure each player understand their assignments is amazing. He is the leader of this defense and this team and I expect the most from him. We will see how this season plays out but after last weeks lost I’ve started to see this team carry themselves a different way. It’s almost like that Patriot way you hear about all the time and everybody just doing their job. It’s going to be special.” The redskins are up against the 5-2 Minnesota Vikings this week and it will be a big test. If they can come up with a win maybe we will see this new age Redskins that Coach OG Poc hinted about.
The Buffalo Bills are back to an even record (5-5) after a win over the Tennessee Titans (5-6). Coach Dom G has high praise for starting QB Peterman who has complied an excellent 3-1 record since taking over for the now traded Tyrod Taylor. “I told the media the week of the trade that if he believed in this system and his teammates he would be very successful in the National Football League. He’s a leader now. First one on the field and last one off. Controls the huddle and makes sure every ones on the same page. We’re even starting to let him call his own plays every once in the while, he’s a smart kid.” Coach said;”the next step in getting him mentioned with some of the better QB’s in the league is to cut down on the turnovers. Once that happens there’s going to be a new Story for ESPN!” Will Peterman and the Bills keep up this newfound success and make a push for the playoffs as the season winds down? We will find out this week when they’re up against a very talented Vikings (7-3) team.
With another 2 and 4 start, the Buffalo Bills are looking like their regular selves. Coach OG Dom stated, “Something has to change, the way these players are going thru the motions is unacceptable and change is coming.” Looks like coach was serious in that matter trading starting Quaterback Tyrod Taylor to the Jacksonville Jaguars after a poor performance with 4 interceptions. Taylor left a goodbye letter to the City of Buffalo saying how he wished he didn’t have to leave this way but he understands the business, and he has nothing but love and respect for the city and Buffalo Bills organization. The Bills play the Jags later in the season when Taylor will see his former team for the 1st Time.
OG Dom seem excited about the Nathan Peterman Era for the Bills. “Peterman is young and has a very high ceiling. His work ethic and Belief in the system and teammates around him will determine how successful he will be in the NFL. He (Peterman) got a chance to play early last year due to injuries but now he’s our bonafide starter and I expect him to play like it.
Will Peterman blossom into a high caliber player? We will find out next week when he gets his first start against the Miami Dolphins (1-5).
After 2 lackluster performances in weeks 1 and 2 against the Jets and Panthers respectively, the Buffalo Bills look like a different team the last couple weeks. No matter if offense, defense, or special teams the Bills are finally starting to live up to their potential. Thanks to the win the Bills improve their record to 2-2 while the falcons fall to 0-4.
The defense for the Bills excelled, giving up only 21 points during the game and coming up with 6 turnovers (5 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery).
“We got 6 turnovers, so that’s always good,” said Newley hired Head Coach Dom G. The coach couldn’t do anything but smile ear to ear when speaking about Saftey, Micah Hyde. “He was all over the field tonight. The man had 3 interceptions (2 for touchdowns) to go along with 6 tackles. We’ve been asking the defense to step up for a while now, and the last two weeks they have done just that, and I believe Mic(Hyde) is the leader and reason behind this.”
“If we could get that same type of play out of the offense and be consistent then I think we have a chance to surprise the MCL and push for a playoff spot,” Coach Dom G told us.
We will see next week if Coach Dom G can keep that defense playing strong against the Cincinnati Bengals(2-1) who play tonight against the Baltimore Ravens(0-3) & and use the bye week afterwards to fine tune his offense.
