Redskins Vs Cowboys Week 2 #4

Week two would see the 1-0 Redskins visiting the surprising 1-0 Cowboys. Every year these two teams seem to play each other hard no matter the record. This match up would be no different.  Cowboys would again play a ball control style of offense and hope the Defense could make stops. Wasn't a lot of scoring as both defense's would make stops when needed.  Rookie Qb Fromm would play smart and take all the short easy throws going 10-12 but no Td's. It was evident Dallas was about to lean on the running game. Redskins did a great lob bottling up Zeke and Killins not allowing them to get free for any big plays.  Dallas held the lead for the most part of the game with Washington tying it up at 14 with less then 30 seconds to go. Dallas took one last heave down t he field and the ball was tipped into the hands TE Davis for a 56 yard pass to the 24. From there They would kick the game winning field goal to win 17-14 and go 2-0.

Week 1 Lions travel to Dallas #3

Week one would see a intriguing Match up with Detroit traveling to Dallas. Cowboys defense staff knew they would have to deal with some team speed front the lions offense.  Newly signed Goodwin and Rookie Ruggs has more then enough speed to take the top off any defense. Even though Dallas Secondary has plenty of speed to cover they have been horrible in the past couple seasons and Garrett knew he had to play keep away. Dallas held the ball for 19+ minutes to Detroit's 9.  All in all it turned out to be a heck of a game.  Rookie Qb From played game management football handing the rock to Zeke and Killins and utilizing his Tight Ends. Dallas Defense played well and held Detroit to 14. It didn't help they missed two field goals.  Rookie Killins score on a long TD to put the finishing touches their week 1 win.

Post Draft analyses from Dallas #2

With the draft coming and going just like that some teams around the league had their laughs and fun with Dallas and their front office. Some fans around Dallas feel as though it was a bad draft but that is year to be seen. One thing is for sure there will be some guys thrown straight in the fire.  Let's take a look at the offense draft

Qb- Many around the league was hoping Joe Burrows would fall to this spot but not many believed it would happen and they were right with him going to Tampa. That left SEC legend Tua T, Jake Fromm and Duck Stand our Hebret on the board. Cowboys went with Fromm. Then 3 picks later with with Speedster D-King out of Houston. Jones made it clear that it's Fromms team but expect King to make some plays.

RB - Not a lot going on here when you have Zeke back and still young. Then toss in not often used Pollard and Weber and you have a nice stable. Jerry said he wanted to throw a glitch in there and drafted the all world speedster out of UCF to make some noise in special situations.

WR- TE's -  Led by stand out Amari Cooper and Gallop with a couple speedsters behind them the staff felt it was ok to let Austin and Back up Williams walk  . They will be in a lot of 2-3 WR sets and a lot of 2-3 TE sets. The TE group was led last season by standout Rookie Jalen Davis who went from unknown to House hold name. Oh yea the lone FA signing was TE Chris Kelsey. Not sure there has been a TE group like them in a while. Add to that Cowboys drafted SS TE out of OU who is poised to form a hell of a trio!

O-line-  Oline has changed a lot the last few seasons. Most of the old expensive vets are gone leaving Conner William the lone Vet but he is being paced by Center Jace Davis and RG Billy Bob. Watts moves over to LT to replace Smith and Collins still mans the RT spot.

The offense looks to be much more efficient moving forward. Limit the mistakes and move the ball. We plan to win the time of possession battle week end and week out, We can't count on our Defense to win us any games right now.

Same ole D-Town but with a new approach.

Another failed season and another Draft day come and gone. With most the big names gone there are still a few stars left.  Zeke, Jones and Smith still hanging in and happy. Word around the trenches is Demarcus and Cooper May be a lil disgruntled but working their differences out. Zeke will look to have a injury free season and another 1100 yard performance with a few more trips to the Endzone.  Behind him is Pollard, Weber and new addition Killens.  Coach knows that's where the bread and butter of the team is and they have to get it done any way possible. The days of Jason Witten being the key target at TE are long gone. Rookie TE Jalen Davis had a breakout season with 60+ catches and over 1100 yards. Some are calling him an X-Factor but he will need to back it up. Mr Jerry Jones has went on record and said it's a make or break year for the defense.  To much money on that side to not be stopping people.

Big D Shake up!!

As previously reported the Cowboys front office was planning to make a big salary and age shake up starting from the Fromt office down to the trainers.  Well they didn't make it out of preseason and those moves have started already.

cowboys are sending Qb Prescott, RG Martin and Cb Bradberry to Miami.

Miami sends theirs 1st round, Qb Rosen and DB Minkah Fitzpatrick. He will fit in nicely with the newly shaped secondary in Big D!

One last Ride

Well folks. World around Arlington is it's gonna be the last ride for more then a few cowboys this year.  Money is tight and we will be looking to go you g and save some money. That means some big names will be moving.  Starting the season off with the draft Jones and the front office selected Billy Bob at Gaurd to some what be a hole filler on the Oline.  He will back up mostlyat Center.  Next Tight End Jalen Davis was drafted to take some heat off of the WR core and help Dak our some in the short passing game. Offense remained pretty much the same.

Defense will be looking to be a much more physical and ball hawking defense. Trades for 6'4 DB Obi from Carolina.  He will be lining up at CB which will give the defense two starting CB's standing at 6'4 and can run. Jones and Brown stay at Saftey and Bradberry will man the Nickle spot.  LB core stays the same with little depth.  D-line could be the weak line of this team.
