XCFL standings for all 32 teams 185 regular games through, where do you stack up?

We have seen division rankings, weve seen height charts, weve seen conference standings, but never against all other 31 teams.  You always had to go back and forth and make mental notes(hand written notes for some.  Well here it is, laid out in black and white for all to see just where all your hard work has left you the past 10 months of your lives!  No surprise here, the 2 best teams with the same EXACT record to a tie is the Browns and Redskins.  One clear cut favorite though unfortunately has to go tot he Browns due to the 5 superbowls he holds in those POCKETS.  Biggest surprise has to be seeing Patty Mahomes on the bottom of the list only coming up with 45 wins in 185 games.  14 of the 32 teams have winning records and 12 of them are over 100 wins on the M21 cycle, congrats to all of them on that accomplishment. Heres to finishing out strong with about 2 more seasons to go before we hit M22, good luck to all!

The AFC only had 6 teams with winnings records and 5 being over 100.  Without further ado, here is the NFC ranking through 185 games.

Must Win game

Week 11 brings the Vikings and HC Broc Lesnar to another must win game!   He faces off with yet again, the Detroit Lions who he has had success with but if Overbay plays anything like he did in week 10 the team is doomed. Overbay had two rushes with 2 fumbles last week to go along with 2 pick sixs.  I mean who does this guy think he is, Matt Schaub? Both teams head into the week at 3-6 just looking for a glimmer of hope, but chances are, they are NOT finding it regardless of the outcome for this one.  The Vikes currently boast an 86 OVR team rating but with the guy behind those thumbs, he could have a 100 OVR rated team and still find a way to loas in the 4th.  The Lions come in with a 75 rated OVR team and in the bottom half of most categories except surprisingly the offensive run game.  The Lions currently sit at 4th with the rush yard average at 117.4.  Lets see if the Vikes can hold them as their D sits currently at number 7 in the run defensive category only allowing an average of 79.3 yards per game.  This should be a fun one to watch and it should be going down soon!

Lesnar on fire, not for the right reasons

Lesnar being on the hot seat for the Vikings head coaching job is an understatement.  11 seasons in and he has a winning record over that time span, but the past 5 seasons he has not posted a winning record and the Owner Dwayne Johnson is not happy about it.  The Rock was overheard talking to lead scout Steve Austin about the losses that keep piling up and it is speculated that he made a comment that if we take an L this week against the Lions, hes out.  We are not 100% sure but 99.9% believe those words were aimed towards Lesnar and made the point to say that if theVikes lose this coming week in Detroit, Lesnar may be left without a job.  Lesnar is sitting at 94-89 in his overall career as a head coach, his head coaching career has been with the vikings for the past 12 seasons including this one as he sits 2-5.  He started off well only being below .500 in 2 of his first 9 seasons but the last 4 seasons he has only had one year at .500 and the rest were below. This will be an interesting week especially when Lesnar hears about this, he is not one to shy away from confrontations.

Week 5 Pats vs Vikes

Wow, this one was a barn burner...No defense to be had anywhere.  Overbays tipped interceptions early and fumble return for a TD by the Pats set us back early but the team battled cutting it to a 7 point deficit in the 4th but the Pats were too much for us to handle.  Overbay went 20-32 for 478 yards 5 touchdowns and 3 INTs.  Hb Butler had some nice runs as he posted his first 100 + yard game on 12 carries and a TD.  Miller was Miller and balled out showing why no matter his age, hes still the best.  He was double coveraged most of the game and still posted 308 yards and 4 TDs.   The D cant get any recognition after that as we were torched by Boyer who had 461 and 4 TDs.

New Era for the Vikes?

This offseason the Vikes new they had to get to work on their defense.  The past 3-5 seasons they have been near the back of the league in yards against and points, not to mention 9 of 10 losses in the 4th quarter mainly due to their secondary.  Lesnar negotiated a trade to bring in a stud CB in Reggie Bird and after three games we can see the impact he has made, hes already signed a long term deal to stay a Viking! Next they needed to gain speed at safety so we were able to make a deal for FS Louis Callaway from the Jags.  With Callaway added, that gives both of our starting safeties at least 1 91 speed to try and break up passes or jump routes for some INTs. With the departure of WR James Weathers, the team also needed another weapon to line up with Scotty Miller, we were able to strike a deal with pro bowler DJ Chark.  Zeke the freak retired this offseason with a hall of fame type career and we knew it would be hard to fill those shoes so we went out and got a speedster at HB in Isaac Butler from Carolina.  This team has the talent to make a splash and win the divisional title for the 5th time this cycle, lets see if they can make it happen and pull off games late in the 4th.

Kendrick Skinner getting the hang of this

Kendrick Skinner was traded to Minnesota last season from Pittsburgh, and this boy can fly!  Skinner came to the Vikes as a normal dev player, in his first season he was able to up his game to Star dev and just last week in his second season with the Vikings he has reached his Superstar talent upgrade! Skinner is 27 years old and in his 5th year in the league, sitting at an 82 overall, his speed of 94 really helps him break up plays.  We hope to see more great things to come as he steps up and tries to be a leader on that defense.  Lord knows, the secondary needs help any way they can get it!  Losing all 5 of their games this season on late 4th quarter break downs in the defense, usually in the secondary.  We hope this jump with Skinner paired with some new comers in Randy Martin and veteran leadership in Jamal Adams can push this team on a winning run to compete for a playoff spot.

Giving back Parrish style

Minnesota Vikings had their bye week last week and while Scotty Miller was back in his hometown helping with a Habitat for Humanity project, Tight End and X-Factor Steve Parrish took to the streets of Minnesota once he learned of a cornhole tournament being played at the local Boys and Girls club downtown.  The tournament was to help raise money for the Shriners hospital, once Parrish learned of it, he was there.  Parrish, seen in the photo met all the attendees and signed autographs, but the bigger moment was the smile on the kids faces.  Steve donated $1000 dollars per cornhole for the whole tournament.  With that being said, Steve donated $65,000 dollars as there was ringers falling for days in that tourney.  Steve enjoyed his time so much that he plans on sponsoring the event next year and make this an annual event to help raise money for a great cause.

Star of the draft? 5th round gem for the Vikes

The Vikings didnt have many picks this draft but boy did they find a gem late in the 5th round when selecting offensive lineman Jameson Porter.  Porter is a 21 year old kid that played ball at Central Michigan where he was a team captaina and started all 4 years.  An injury his senior seasons in the first game left him sidelined for 8 games of his senior year but the way he worked to get back on the fiield and then at the NFL combine showed this man deserved a shot.  The Vikings selected him with their 13th pick in the 5th and now they have him starting at Center 5 weeks into his rookie season.  Porter stands 6'6" 339 pounds as a 21 year old and is already listed with a B grade for run blocking and a C+ for pass blocking.  Look for this kid to make a big splash on that line as long as he can stay healthy.

NFC West through 9 seasons

Surprisingly enough, the second and third place teams in this division have a Super Bowl under their belts before the first place team does.  To most, winning percentage matters, having the best record in your division and most Division titles in the last decade mean a whole lot but not to these two teams...The Rams and Cardinals sit in the NFC West with their heads held high and rightfully so because they can say "We won the big one, the ONE that matters".  The niners 24 more wins in the last nine seasons over the second place team, the Cardinals but the big dance is the only thing that matters.  The 49ers more than likely will finish this cycle with the most wins in the NFC West and Division title, but will they every reach gold and be able to hoist that Lombardi trophy, i wouldn't bet on it!

Scotty Miller, Man of the Year candidate profile

Scotty Miller’s impact extends far beyond the field, into communities throughout Minnesota and beyond," Vikings owner Dwayne “the rock” Johnson said in a statement. "During his 10 seasons in the league, he has been a tremendous role model for the youth he serves through his Barrington Bronco Foundation and is incredibly deserving of the league's most prestigious honor."

Miller formed the Barrington Bronco Foundation(named after his high school alma mater) in 2020 alongside his wife Stacey Keibler Miller to raises funds to teach young people critical life skills. The foundation also takes children Christmas shopping ("Christmas with Scotty"), funds an after-school program and awards an annual scholarship.

This year Miller also started Season of Giving, making donations based on his on-field performance. Per the Vikings, Miller donated $209,300($100 per recieving yard) to four Northeast Illinois charities, giving out $20,000 to Feeding Northeast Illinois, Habitat for Humanity, the Wounded Warrior Project and The United Way of Northeast Illinois.

In addition, Miller has set up donations of $25,000 to multiple charities in his college hometown of Bowling Green Ohio prior to the Vikings game in week 5 this season at First Energy stadium in Cleveland Ohio(short 2 hour drive) : Brown bag food project, Habitat for Humanity of wood county Ohio, and the City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreations.

Miller is a guy that has worked his whole life to be the best he could be and still tries to exemplify that on and off the field.  He was told in high school, college and then the NFL when selected in the 6th round that he would never be great because he was too small.  Miller has worked harder than anyone with a chip on his shoulder to prove others wrong while never forgetting where he came from and giving back.  This will bring his Season of Giving a total of $284,300 in the past 12 months, and this is just a small portion for his gratitude.

Miller is an XCFL player that best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership at home, on the field and in the community. The award, which is voted on by players at the same time as Pro Bowl voting, has been given annually since 1989. The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award has been given annually since 1999, when it was renamed after the former Chicago Bears running back. The award dates back to 1970.

Miller has 15,616 yards receiving and 141 touchdowns in his 10-year career, including 5,542 yards, 47 touchdowns in his last three seasons with the Vikings. He is a seven-time Pro Bowler and was named the most recent XCFL wide receiver of the year.

NFC SOUTH through 9 seasons

Does anyone have a chance in this division besides Big B and Kylo? With the resurrection of WreckItRalph it is possible he may give them a better game than the previous 234557 users that had the saints this cycle but I wouldn't count on any long shots from the Falcons or Saints winning a division title this cycle.  Big B came out hot when the cycle started with 4 straight titles but the incoming NEWB of the Division, Kylo took it by storm and after one season played like a seasoned vet taking 4 out of 5 titles from the start.  Kylo may be in Big Bs head but you can never count out Kyler Murray and Brian!

NFC North 9 seasons through

The NFC North started off the cycle fairly strong with multiple teams getting double digit wins through the first 6 seasons and having a division with 3 winners through 6 seasons.  The last four seasons have been won by Pride but the wins have been hard to come by for all.  The last 3 seasons not one team in the division has won double digit games, hopefully things will turn around for this hard nosed division but we will see if they can get this division back to its original glory.  Pride has taken this NFC North by storm the past 4 consecutive seasons winning the title, with a little help from opponents and madden luck 2 of those 4 the Packers were handed the Crown while tied with the Vikings with the same overall record and divion record while splitting head to head.  At the end of the Day the Vikings only have themselves to blame for putting themselves in that possition.

From Zero to Hero, Miller defied all odds

Greatest XCFL WR to ever do it?  Many think that the strides Scott Miller took from the very first snap of his career in 2019 to what he is now could be the single best jump in a career.  Scott miller started off as a nobody but Coach Lesnar saw more in him than anyone, possibly even Scotty himslef.  Scotty has stayed humbled and walked quietly while carrying a big stick.  With that being said, Miller has stayed loyal to Lesnar and Vikings and never thought about being shopped like most big named WRs in the league(COUGH COUCH HOLLYWOOD). Miller at age 32 put up his best career numbers and this was his 10th season, during that tenure he has made the pro bowl 7 out of 10 years with 9 out of 10 seasons hauling in at least 1200 yards.  This year he went for 2093 yards, 14 TDs on 84 catches.  Lets see the leaps he has made since starting out in the 2019 season;

2019;

Overall-66  Speed-94   Acc-93    Catch-81  Release-58

2027;

Overall-98   Speed-96  ACC-95  Catch-99   Release-97
