Dmues earns the Week 18 POTW Award by defeating Bomber 35-10. Dmues’ defense forced 4 turnovers (3 interceptions and 1 forced fumble recovery) in the game. QB Jason Hinton finished the game with a perfect passer rating throwing for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. HB Nyheim Hines rushed for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns.

QB Bryson Rodgers finished with a perfect passer rating throwing for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. HB Antonio Gibson had a big day on the ground rushing for 107 yards and 1 touchdown.

BACK TO BACK TO BACK!!! Klinke earned the POTW Award for the 3rd consecutive week in a row defeating Gudda 38-7. Klinke’s defense forced 4 turnovers (all interceptions) in the game. Not a whole lot of offense to report in this one as Klinke’s defense scored 2 touchdowns.

In the largest victory in SML POTW history, Klinke destroyed TTS in Week 14 69-0. Klinke’s defense forced a whopping 9 turnovers (6 interceptions and 3 forced fumble recoveries) in the game. QB Matt Clark finished the day with a perfect passer rating throwing for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns. HB Javon Porter rushed for 139 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Kansas City Chiefs (Coop) won the SML Week 13 POTW Award by defeating the Buffalo Bills (Woods) 31-7.

Coop earns the Week 13 POTW Award by defeating Woods 31-7. Coop’s defense forced 4 turnovers (all interceptions) in the game. HB Kareem Hunt rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown. WR JuJu Smith-Shuster caught 3 passes for 105 yards and 1 touchdown.

NoleOverlord

The Green Bay Packer (Nole) won the SML Week 10 POTW Award by defeating the Chicago Bears (Finz)  38-7.

Nole dismantled Finz in Week 10 38-7 to earn the POTW Award. Nole’s defense forced 5 turnovers (3 interceptions and 2 forced fumble recoveries) in the game. Aaron Rodgers finished with a nearly perfect passer rating throwing for 244 yards and 4 touchdowns. HB Aaron Jones had a decent game rushing on the ground but it was his presence in the passing game this week that stood out catching 6 balls out of the backfield for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (Matt) won the SML Week 9 POTW Award by defeating the Minnesota Vikings (TTS) 63-9.

Matt absolutely beat the brakes off TTS in Week 9 to earn the POTW Award in his 63-9 blowout. Matt’s defense forced 6 turnovers (5 interceptions and 1 forced fumble recovery) in the game. QB Trevor Lawrence finished the game with a perfect passer rating throwing for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns. HB Travis Ettienne Jr had a huge day on the ground rushing for 110 yards and 4 touchdowns. WR D.J. Chark Jr also had a big day catching 3 passes for 104 yards.

Klinke brings home the Week 7 POTW Award defeating Spooky 45-7. Klinke’s defense forced 6 turnovers (5 interceptions and 1 forced fumble recovery) in the game. QB Marc Clark had a great day throwing for 238 yards and 2 touchdowns.

SML SEASON 47 - WEEK 7

The goal is simple. We want to recognize a player of the week each week of the regular season. Everyone always gives praise to the players who are dominating the league with their offensive skills, however we want to give praise to those who dominate the league on defense. Player Of The Week (POTW) is a defensive award. Each week DW will be handing out a POTW Award to the squad/team who allows the fewest points scored on defense against them. Simple right? Shut down your opponent for the week and receive praise from your peers while being honored for your stellar defense with an award. This award will be delivered weekly by Deathwish (DW).

***If there is a tie for the fewest points allowed by a team for the week, the first tiebreaker will be chosen by the team with the largest winning margin over their opponent. If a second tiebreaker is needed the award will go to the team that allowed the fewest total yards on defense.  

WEEK 7 POTW

The Buffalo Bills (Woods) won the SML Week 7 POTW Award by defeating the New England Patriots (Figg) 38-0.

In an absolute blowout, Woods shuts out Figg in Week 7 38-0 to bring home the Week 7 POTW Award. Wood’s defense forced 7 turnovers (6 interceptions and 1 forced fumble recovery) in the game. QB Josh Allen finished with a perfect passer rating throwing for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Green Bay Packers (Nole) won the SML Week 6 POTW Award by defeating the Detroit Lions (Klinke) 27-3.

Nole brings home the Week 6 POTW Award defeating Klinke 27-3. Nole’s defense forced 6 turnovers (all interceptions) in the game. HB Aaron Jones went off on the ground rushing for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Detroit Lions (Klinke) won the SML Week 5 POTW Award by defeating the Minnesota Vikings (TTS) 34-8.

Klinke earns his second POTW Award of the season defeating TTS 34-8 in their Week 5 matchup. Klinke’s defense forced 4 turnovers (3 interceptions and 1 forced fumble recovery) in the game. QB Marc Clark threw for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns. HB D’Andre Swift had a huge day on the ground rushing for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (Matt) won the SML Week 4 POTW Award by defeating the New York Jets (KJ)  24-7.

Matt brings home the Week 4 POTW Award defeating KJ 24-7. Matt’s defense forced 2 turnovers (both interceptions) in the game. QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 241 yards and 1 touchdown. WR D.J. Chark Jr had a great day catching 3 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
