This Bills ended the season on a disappointing note with an early exit in the first round. The Bills faced the Browns for the second time this season and could not pull off the sweep. Buffalo will look to use this lost as a kick in the ass to get them back on path. The team overall look well all season finishing top five on defense and top fifteen on offense. Some players to highlight that had a pro bowl season were rookie Lorenzo Dixon (SS), Josh Allen (QB), Stefon Diggs (WR), Fletcher Cox and Ed Oliver (DT) and Taron Johnson (CB). Its also worth mentioning these players made all demon team list as well this season.
The Bills were able to retain most of the core defense expect for veteran Fletcher Cox who now has signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Buffalo has made some moves this offseason that we are excited about for offense and defense. On offense the Bills brought in veteran guard Trai Turner to help and brought back right tackle Daryl Williams. The Bills also traded for running back Travis Etienne to add to the running back room. Travis will bring speed and receiving abilities to the back field, Hobbs and Etienne Jr will be a nice combination in the back field.
On the defense side of the ball losing Fletcher Cox was big but the Bills are looking to fill that void with the addition of Demarcus Lawrence (DE) and Neville Gallimore (DT). Lawrence not only brings a veteran presence to the d-line but also superstar abilities that can impact offense in a big way. Gallimore is someone who could potentially turn into a superstar at the DT position lining up next to Ed Oliver. When the Bills first got Cox, they pair him with Oliver to help him elevate his game, lets see if Oliver can do the same for Gallimore. Lorenzo Carter was added to the linebacker core since we lost Kwan Alexander but Carter bring speed, run stopping abilities and pass rushing.
The Bills have their eye on another couple free agents they are hoping to get. Buffalo will look to build in draft to help get them over the playoffs hump they been struggling with. Check back next week to see how the Bills finish out in free agency.
The Bills gave up there first lost on the season to the New England Patriots. This is a bittersweet lost for the Bills giving up ground to an opponent but also showing not even at there best they can still ball out. The Patriots didn’t do anything too special to beat the Bills. Buffalo shot themselves in the foot a lot turning over the ball and not scoring on turnovers forced. The offense came out flat this week and really didn’t show anything special. The defense for the Bills tried to jump start the offense by forcing some turnovers but nothing came from them.
Allen on the day threw for a career-low 130 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception. Allen looked off this game not making the correct reads, throwing into double coverage, and just not making smart decisions. The offense starts with the quarterback, if he is having an off day its hard to move the ball effectively. None of the receivers had a big game this week either. Baker lead in receiving yards racking up 76 yards through the air. Hobbs was the lead work horse in the backfield with 25 touches for 86 yards and no touchdowns. The offense will look to bounce back big when the face the New York Jets this week.
Looking at the defense for the Bills the rookie Lorenzo is still impressing picking off his 5th interception on the season leading all rookies. The defense played as well as expected for being on the field a lot. The Bills defense forced 4 turnovers and did what they needed to do but the offense just couldn't finish. The defense will look to keep this up and step up even more facing the Jets this week.
I know they say a win is a win but this one doesn’t feel as good as it should. The Bills mafia left a lot of points on the field against the Buccaneers. The Bills were 80% in the redzone which is mainly due to bad reads by Allen and poor play calling. Buffalo is usually solid in the redzone being able to score at will. The Buccaneers turned over the ball 4 times this game. Out of the 4 the turnovers the Bills scored touchdowns on one and fields goals on the rest. 21 more points could of be scored in the first half alone which could have put this game away early.
No one on offense was too spectacular this game. Allen threw for 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions; Hobbs ran solid for 96 yards, but he did have a fumble in the game. The receiving core for the Bills was led by Davis who only had 67 yards receiving. The stat line for the offense was overall low and that is where we will leave that. The Bills need to get back on track this upcoming week facing a division opponent in the Patriots.
Now the defense was what carried the team onto victory. Let’s talk about the secondary first, White and Hyde are the top OGs back there they set the tone for everything. Johnson has turned into a great slot cornerback for us in our nickel package which allows the new addition Joseph to line up on the outside and showcase that blazing speed. Now let’s not forget about the demon Lorenzo Dixon holding down the strong safety position, this rookie has been balling since he has taken over this spot. Dixon finished the game with multiple tackles, 2 interceptions and a force fumble. What more can you ask for from your rookie drafted in the 6th round. The way this secondary has been playing has allowed for the defensive line to get home with pressure and tackles for loss. The hope is that this will allow the young defensive ends to get more pressure leading to sacks.
The Bills will be traveling to New England next week to face the Patriots, will they be able to improve their record to 5-0?
This was a tough one for the Bills to pull out but dammit they did it. The Bills knew going into this game it wouldn’t be easy and they would need to earn everything, and nothing would come easy. The Eagles made some moves this offseason acquiring star wide receiver DJ Moore and Russell Wilson. Moore and Wilson bring more weapons to an offense looking to make some noise. This is the first time the Bills and the Eagles have matchup against each other. The Bills knew coming into a hostile stadium they would need to quiet the crowd early.
All I got to say is put some respect on my man Diggs name. Stefon Diggs had himself a game. Diggs scored 2 touchdowns on 2 receptions for 129 yards. Josh Allen knew when in doubt just throw to Diggs. Diggs was the highlight of the offense along with Allen and rookie running back Hobbs. Hobbs is starting to look good, running the ball 20 times for 97 yards and a touchdown. Hobbs only mistake on tonight game was that on a 4th down he ran west and east instead of north. The rookie running back will learn from his mistakes but luckily, he has a solid defense to lean on.
Star linebacker Tremaine Edmunds exited the game early with an injury expected to have him sidelined for 3 weeks. Edmunds is a big enforcer on defense and presence was missed but the defense still found a way to make plays. The rookie Lorenzo Dixon collected another interception this week. Dixon in college was known to be a ball hawk and has not disappointed yet. The Bills were able to force 5 turnovers this game. The Bills would of love to capitalize more on those turnovers especially in a tough game like this. Fletcher Cox said coming into this game he had something to prove playing his old team. Cox finished with 2 sacks a force fumble and a couple tackles for loss.
The passing defense for the Bills is still getting their feet under them. They are facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next and know they will need to be on point in the passing game. Check back next week to see how the Bills faceoff against the Buccaneers.
The Buffalo Bills are now 2 – 0 after winning an early division matchup against the New England Patriots. This was a big win early for the Bills to get a leg up on a tough opponent. The Bills knew coming into this game they would have to play a perfect facing a high-powered offense. The New England Patriots this offseason traded for star wideout Deandre Hopkins to pair with Devante Adams. The matchup is a nightmare for any team, most teams have one solid cornerback but to have two at this caliber is a stretch. Even though the Patriots have these weapons lucky for us they still have Mac n Cheese.
Jones had a tough game against the Bills this week. It was easy to put pressure on Jones once his team fell behind. Josh Allen came out firing like he always does putting up points in a hurry. Every time the offense touches the ball, they were scoring points. As usual Diggs and Knox lead the team scoring 3 combined touchdowns and over 300 yards receiving. The Bills were able to rely on a run game this week something they haven’t had for a while. The rookie running back made some plays and scored a touchdown on the ground. It was nice to see the offense clicking on all cylinders this game.
The defense steps up big time as well. Rookie strong safety Lorenzo Dixon left his mark on this game. The rookie scored his first defensive touchdown and recorded a sack all in the same game. The defense came into the game knowing what the mission was, stop the run game for Patriots to pass. If Mac Jones is the quarterback for the Patriots, we will take that over Damien Harris running the ball. When the patriots can have a run game, they can throw in play action and other plays to throw off the defense. The Bills knew this would be a focus and took it away. The Patriots ran for 50 yards on the ground, and this allowed the Bills to have a field day in the Patriots backfield.
The Bills made a trade with the Dallas Cowboys sending defensive end AJ Espensa for Cornerback Kelvin Joseph and a 3rd round pick.
The Bills couldn’t make many moves this offseason but were able to fill some needs during the draft. Going into the offseason the Bills cap salary was quite sad only 4 million available to sign rookies and free agents. The Bills knew resigning Fletcher Cox would eat up some salary but damn on that much. If the Bills would have known how much salary he would have taken up they might have let him walk. Fletcher has shown his value, so it isn’t all bad. With Oliver and Cox in them middle this will hopefully allow Espenesa, Rousseau and Clay Oliver an opportunity to develop into the pass rushers they can be.
Buffalo went into the draft knowing they needed to fill running back positions after letting Singletary walk and safety position already Poyer hit free agency. This would be tricky if the Bills didn’t have a rockstar player personal director who was able to find some gems in the draft. With the Bills not losing many players last offseason they didn’t have to worry about many things to fill. The Bills team is young in certain positions and this time allows them to develop and become starters and futures superstars on the team. This team is very big on developing young talent on the roster. If the Bills can continue to build these young starters, they could have something special.
Let’s talk about some of the rookies being added to the team and how we plan to use them. The Bills selected Devonte Gray in the 3rd round from Navy, Gray is a solid safety one of the fastest in this draft class. He is a coverage safety which is nice to develop and play a key role in out big nickel package. In the 4th round the Bills drafted running back Darren Hobbs from Richmond University. Hobbs is every down back who will look to make an impact early and often. The Bills lack a decent running game for some time now and looking forward to seeing what the rookie can do. Buffalo also drafted Paul Grant cornerback from SMU in the 5th and Lorenzo Dixon safety from Louisville. Grant is a big physical corner at 6’2 who will look to jam wideouts at the line of scrimmage, kind of like Richard Sherman. Dixon is a hybrid safety who can play man or zone coverage to help matchup against tight ends and receiving backs.
The Bills are looking forward to this season and what this team can do. Be sure to check back next week on more Bills Mafia News.
The Bills came up short this year but had a great season. Buffalo made it to the playoffs which was half the battle. The Bills advanced pass the wildcard round facing the Los Angeles Chargers. This game got out of hand quickly making the Chargers play catch up the whole game. The Bills then faced the Baltimore Ravens in the division round which was the battle of the quarterbacks. Allen and Lamar put on a show and stops on defense were hard to come by. The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Bills and advance to the divisional round and then to the Super Bowl which they won.
Looking back on he Bills season there is nothing to hang there head down about. The Bills had a good season especially on offense. Allen was a top passer this year and because of that he is now an X-factor ready to put on a show this upcoming season. Along with Allen becoming an X-factor our young stud Ed Oliver. Our defensive line is coming along quiet well. The Bills made sure to resign Fletcher Cox this season, Cox played an important role on defense putting pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. With the defensive line looking the way it does this will allow the secondary time to develop younger players.
The Bills lost some vets to free agency, Johnathan Jones, Von Bell and Jordan Poyer. Buffalo also let running back Devin Singletary walk as well looking to improve this position in the draft. The upcoming draft has promising younger players in many positions the Bills need to fill. Free agency isn’t an option this year for the Bill due to cap space. Check back next week for some of the prospect the Bills are currently looking to draft this year.
Bills Mafia we are still undefeated after an overtime thriller against the New York Jets. In a game that was well in hand a few mistakes almost cost us the game. The Jets offense really didn’t score much it was their defense that put up points and kept them in the game. One thing the Bills need to do is cut down on assisting opponents with free point. If the Bills didn’t give up two big turnovers that lead to immediate point this game would have been over by halftime. Good thing the Bills defense came to play today and came up with big turnovers and stops.
Josh Allen threw all over the Jets for four hundred and four yards and two touchdowns while also running one in. He linked up with the young receiver Baker for nine catches and one hundred and twenty-two yards and a touchdown. The offense looked good this game clicking on all cylinders. Knox, Davis, and Coleman rack up some good yardage as well. It was nice to see the offense drive down the field so easily in overtime to win the game. Josh Allen already knew once he got the ball in overtime there wasn’t any chance, he wasn’t going to score game winner.
The defense line caused problems all games for the Jets. Wilson missed easy completions due to the pressure up the middle from Cox and Oliver. The Bills had four sacks and a ton of hurried pressures on Wilson. It was nice to see the defense cause multiple turnovers that led to points and help the offense. Espenesa was all over the field getting tackles for loss, a sack and almost a force fumble. The Bills will continue to look how they can continue to generate pressure against opposing quarterbacks. Buffalo takes on the Chicago Bears next week which will be a good match up. Justin Fields is good quarterback who we look to make really uncomfortable in the backfield. Check back next wee to see how the Bills matchup.
When there is a will there is a way. Your Bills are 2-0 on the season. The Bills last two games have been decided by seven points and come from last minute offensive drives or defensive stops. Buffalo sure does know how to make things interesting in games, games that shouldn’t be as challenging. Now this isn’t a shot to the other team, but Buffalo put themselves in bad spots allowing teams to make them one dimensional. The Bills can air out the ball like no other but want to make sure they have balance so other teams can’t zone in on one thing.
Currently the Bills offense hasn’t been clicking like we want to see. In week one against the Jets the Bills came out flat allowing other teams to control the game. In week two against the Vikings, it was the same story. There must be a way for the Bills to come out hot on offense and that starts by using our weapons. In the first two games Stefon Diggs only has six catches for a hundred and twenty-seven yards and one touchdown. Stefon Diggs is a game changer, and we need to get him the ball more in different ways. The other weapon on offense is Dawson Knox the dynamic tight end with the ability to house any catch. Knox has been off to a hot start with thirteen catches, two hundred and eight yards receiving and two touchdowns. Both weapons on the field along with Josh Allen who gets it all starting need to come out blazing. The Bills will look to open the offense more against the Bengals in there week three matchup. Last week the Bengals had a hard time stopping the pass from the Ravens so that bolds well for the Bills.
On the defense side of the ball the Bills are top five in all defensive stats so far this season. They are rank third in run defense, fourth in passing defense and second overall in total defense. The new addition of Fletcher Cox has taken this defense to another level. Cox and Oliver in the middle have been terrorizing quarterbacks this season. When you can get pressure right up the middle of the offense and force the quarterback to move into the pass rush or throw on the move, that is all it takes for mistakes to happen. So far, the pass rush has forced three interceptions and a lot of bad passes, our top cornerback Tre’Davious White has been the beneficiary of bad passes picking two of them off. The Bills will look to continue to be a dominating defense this season on the journey to the Super Bowl.
Check back next week to see how the Mafia did against the Bengals.
We are back Bills Mafia; we have made out preseason cuts and our 53-man roster is set. Let’s recap our preseason to see how the team is looking. Week one we faced the Lions, who drafted well this offseason filling some major holes. The biggest hole of them all that still needs to be filled is the quarterback but maybe with the new weapons the Lions can turn it around. Alrighty now that we got the pleasantries out the way the Bills came out looking sharp and smoke the Lions. Bills beat the Lions 51 – 17 in their first preseason matchup.
The Bills could do no wrong in this game both quarterbacks finished the games with impressive QB ratings. Allen could do no wrong throwing four touchdowns with a completion rate of 72 percent. There was a surprising star rising in this game from Kawaan Baker the 1st year player from South Alabama. The offense looks good getting everyone involved in the game. If the Bills can continue to spread the ball like this and keep defense unbalance skies are the limit. Tevin Coleman the new addition to the back field fit right in like we though he would be giving us a nice change of pace and catching the ball out the backfield.
On the defensive side of the ball, we were impressed by what we saw. The defensive line looks good out their cause pressure up the middle no allowing Goff anytime to throw. The push from Cox and Oliver showed to be very effective moving Goff of his spot which allowed the defense to capitalize. The rookie Clay Oliver introduce himself to the league getting his first NFL sack. AJ Epenesa also came up with two sacks in this game which allowed the secondary to play a little different. The Bills forced five turnovers this game all from the pressure that was generated upfront. If the Bills can continue to generate pressure up from there will be a lot of turnovers this season.
Check back next week to see how the Bills match up against divisional opponent New York Jets.
The Buffalo Bills are back this season looking to keep their spot at the top of the AFC East. There were a lot of changes this offseason for the whole division. We might get into some of the other teams but you’re here to read about the Bills Mafia. So, lets jump right into the offseason trades, singings, and releases. The Bills this offseason have parted ways with some veterans, running back Matt Bredia, wide receiver Cole Beasley, defensive end Jerry Hughes and cornerback Levi Wallace. These players contributed in big ways last season, but the Bills are looking to get some of the upcoming younger players time on the fields.
With those players being released let’s look at who will be stepping in to fill those positions. The mafia sign veteran running back Tevin Coleman this offseason as a change of pace running back and someone who can catch the ball out the backfield. The Bills also signed wide receivers Kendrick Bourne and Emanuel Hall. The depth at wide receiver for the Bills is nuts right now. We have the top dog Stefon Diggs who is just built differently. Bills also have Gabriel Davis who is due for a breakout season, Kawaan Baker who will get to see the field a bit more with a lot of potential. The Bill’s receiving core is something special to watch this season and see how they all bring something to the table. Bourne brings a solid slot receiver who can run crisp routes and catch over the middle, Hall and Baker are both burners who can take the top off the defense along with Diggs. Josh Allen should have some fun throwing the ball this season.
Now one thing the Bills have been screaming all last season was a pass rush, we need to generate a pass rush. The Bills should now for sure have a pass rush trading for defensive tackle Fletcher Cox from the Eagles. If this defensive line can work like how I picture it some quarterbacks are going to be pooping themselves. Ed Oliver alone was wreaking havoc in the middle but now pairing him with another beast interior lineman the offensive lineman now must pick their poison. If you are on offense, who would you double in the middle Cox or Oliver, either way it’s a lose – lose situation. We are really looking forward to what this d-line can do this season. Another trade the Bills made was for cornerback Jonathan Jones. Jones brings something more to the table than Wallace did and will allow Taron to move back into the slot where he can truly dominate. These key additions should on offense and defense should help the Bills a lot this season.
The Bills didn’t make a lot of noise in the draft mostly drafting for depth and players to develop. Buffalo drafted in the first round Clay Oliver DE from Ohio State. Oliver is a speed rusher who can come in on third and long to change the pace from a power rusher to a speed rusher the keep tackles on there toes. That is the only pick work talking about right now. Two other free agents we forgot to mention we signed are outside linebackers Kwon Alexander and Kenny Young. These two bring a combination of run stopping support and pass coverage. We are excited to see how they fit in with a linebacker core that is solid.
This pretty much sum up the offseason and draft for the Bills, we have a week 1 matchup in preseason against the Detroit Lions. Check back next week for more on your Buffalo Bills.

Ok so let’s talk shop about the 5-4 and Steelers. The Steelers are at an interesting point right now this season. They are currently on the outside looking in for the playoffs, but should the Steelers make that push for the playoffs? Well, we don’t want to tank the season if we have a legit chance in the playoffs. With the talent on the roster for the Steelers they do but with the play calling on offense must be better. The Steelers are rank 25th in offense right now. Pittsburgh could be higher, but some questionable play calling and decision making by quarterback Dwayne Haskins has put them on the bottom half of ranking déjà vu like sugar honey iced tea.
Haskins has done okay right turned over that ball a ton with 24 interceptions on the season. The interceptions are from very questionable decision making by the young quarterback. Haskins has a potential high ceiling, but can the Steelers afford to wait for that? Looking at the upcoming quarterback draft prospects the Steelers could end up taking a quarterback. When you look at the offense overall and solid quarterback is the missing piece. Haskins will have a chance to prove himself and the season still has a way to go so lets just see what happens.
Now for the defense there are the highlight of this team. Pittsburgh Steelers defense is rank 10th this season which is pretty good. TJ Watt has been playing lights out this season racking up 10.5 sacks this season. It’s good to see that losing his sack brother Bud Dupree to the Titans hasn’t affect his production. The defense has a good mixture of veterans and young players who can all bring something to the table. In the draft for the defense, it will be more about building depth and getting younger in certain areas. The Defense has a lot of players with potential and opportunities to make big plays in games. Cameron Sutton, Ahkello Witherspoon and Tony Brown are three players on defense to pay attention too. The three corners are looking to help this secondary and pass rush by locking up receivers.
The Steelers will continue to monitor how the season goes to see what should be done leading into the offseason. Pittsburgh could be open to trading or looking to make a big splash in free agency. It is worth noting that the Steelers were able to secure superstar Juju Smith-Schuster to a long-term deal keeping him a Steelers for a while. The Steelers for once actually have some money to throw around and do something to help this team. Check back later this season to see what the Steelers do and where they are headed. Don’t forget to follow the Steelers twitter page @SFA_Steelers.
The Buffalo Bills have broken there two game losing streak. After losing to the Saints the Bills were looking to bounce back against the Patriots. The Bills tried to give it a go against the Patriots but ended giving that game away. The game between the Bills and Patriots was shaping up to be a good one. The Bills put that game in the back of there mind and got ready for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs needed this win to hold onto any chance of the playoffs.
Surprisingly Tom Brady was a healthy scratch in this game. The rookie Kyle Trask got the start this week against the Bills. It was a rough outing for the rookie this week against a suspect secondary. Trask ended the game with 4 interceptions and a single touchdown. He linked up with Mike Evans for 119 yards in the game, the chemistry between the two of them seems to be building. Speaking of chemistry, the Bills offense seemed to have the chemistry back that was missing in the last two games.
Josh Allen looks like his old self again throwing for 385 yards and 5 touchdowns in the game. It was good to see Allen back in rhythm and not turning over the ball. He linked up with his two favorite receivers Diggs and Knox. Diggs finished with 119 yards receiving and a touchdown, while Knox rack up 134 yards and two touchdowns. In this game even the running game got going which was good to see finally after struggling the last two games. It seems that the offense was back to it old ways which is a relief for the Bills Mafia.
On the defense side of the ball the Bills played decent. They held the Bucs under 100 yards rushing and most of the passing came from trying to play catch up. The Bills were able to force 4 turnover which was great to see. Buffalo is known for forcing turnover and capitalizing in points on offense. Micah Hyde picks off the rookie 3 times which took points off the board for the Buccaneers. This is huge because this gives our offense extra possession which can lead to more points. The pass rush was able to get 2 sacks in the game due to coverage sacks by the secondary. We will need to keep this up next week as we take on the undefeated Panthers.
Currently the Bills are the number two seed in the playoffs. The Bills sit at 10-3 on the season behind the Baltimore Ravens who are 10-2 and facing a divisional opponent in the Browns at 9-3. The way the playoffs are shaping up these last few weeks will be very interesting to see. Predicting where what teams will be in the playoffs is impossible right now for the AFC.
Check back next week to see how the Bills come out after there game with the Panthers.
