Raiders Report

All right Raider fans!!! It's Cpt Planet, owner of the Oakland Raiders, back with new "Raiders Report!" This year has gotten off to a shaky start. Through five week we sit with a record of 1-4. All basically one possession losses. We still have faith in the squad to turn it around and give KC a run for their money in the division. Although 4 losses may already be too many with the way the Chiefs have been playing lately. This season has been rough offensively. We drafted Rookie RB TaQuan Jasper and he has done ok but not really living up to his potential just yet. Derek Carr has been better but last couple games has been reverted back to turning the ball over in crucial moments of the game. Lets begin our weekly breakdown of how everything has shook out thus far!

WEEK 1- We traveled to Carolina in week one to play the Panthers in the season opener. This was a very close game throughout. QB Carr threw for 196 yards 1 TD amd 1INT. RB Jasper scored his first career TD but was limited to 21 yards on 15 carries.WR Sowells lit it up with 5 catches 151 yards and a TD. We took the lead in the 4th quarter 17-14. Cam Newton and Panthers marched right back into the red zone with under a minute to go. We hold them off on 3 tries inside the 10. On 4th and goal we are starting to prepare ourselves for OT since 9/10 teams will kick FG at home and try to win in OT. Carolina shocked us and all of MBL with a glorious fake FG pass for the game winning TD with no time left. We lost 21-17 on a ballsy call by the coaching staff of Carolina. Tough loss, still stings talking about it, but we got over it and onto next week vs the Patriots.

WEEK 2-  In week 2 we travled to NE to face off against the Pats. We played them tough til a late rushing td put them up 23-9. We just didnt have the fire power to keep up with this very good Patriots team. Carr threw for over 250 yards but also 4 ints. We never felt like we had a chance to win this one as we lose 23-9 on the road in New England. Next up we had a couple of division games!

WEEK 3-  In our home opener we took on division foe the Denver Broncos. This was a big one for us, one we really wanted/needed to win. We could not stop the WRs from being wide open. No one, I repeat, No one could guard anybody out there in man or zone. We realized in this one we will be going after a top rated CB in the draft, hell maybe two CBs as first two picks. Anyway this game felt winnable still but Carr threw 2 picks in crucial situations that ultimately sealed our fate. Down 8 marching late in the 4th quarter is when one of those INTs occured. We have to stop doing that or we will wind up a 4 win team like last year. Final score Denver won 21-13.

WEEK 4- Week 4 was at home versus the Chargers. They, like us, had been winnless through 3 weeks. This was a showdown. Back and forth all game long. We ended up with the final possession down 3 with less than 2 to play. Carr put his on his big boy pants and led us down the field and threw the GW TD to TE Banks for the game clinching score. We did miss the ensuing XP to only be up 3, but game was over as we got our first win of the season 23-20 against the LA Chargers.

WEEK 5-  Week 5 was at home against the, always tough, Texans. Like in week 3 this was all about our CBs not being able to stay with guys and leaving them wide open for easy completions. We have to fix this issue on Defense and the turnover issue on offense and I firmly believe we could compete with anyone in MBL. Texans pretty much did as they pleased. The final score was 23-10 but that was with a late garbage time score from Golladay. We have to come out with better gameplan next week as we travel to Denver looking to even the season series.

******

With the Broncos coming up next week we are more focused than ever! Also we are slotted for the primetime game Friday night 11/30/18 9:00 PM est. All of Raider Nation needs to show up and show out with support for the guys! We will be live on twitch.tv/mblnetwork with a pregame show! Gonna be an awesome show and we plan on putting on an awesome showing of our own! Thats all for this Raiders Report as we will bringing another one out around week 9/10. Until then you stay classy MBL.

Raiders Report

Welcome Raiders' fans to the second installment of the "Raiders Report." This go round we will be discussing the overall state of the team as well as our previous five games in weeks 5-9. Currently we are sitting in last place in the division at (3-5) and not feeling too estatic about our playoff chances. We lost a couple we should have won but primarily our problem has been at QB. Too many turnovers for a guy we are giving a lot of $ to. We have got to find a way to cut those out or we may have big offseason questions to ansser. Defense had somewhat held it together are the main reason for our bismal three wins. Lets dive into the week by week breakdown of how we got to where we are at (3-5) and in last place.

WEEK 5 vs JAX - Man this was a nailbiter to say the least. Coming off our bye week we were extra prepared to tackle the task of taking on this tough Jaguars team. Both teams played hard and fought to the finish but we outlasted them in the end for the win 27-21. Rookie TE Banks continued his big season with 13 catches for 155 yards, both career highs, and 2 scores. He has been everything we expected and more! Defense held the Jags run game in check only allowing 55 yards for Fournette. It was a good day and good win as it moved us back to (2-2.)

WEEK 6 vs PIT - Coming off a big conference win we tried to stay humble and get us another one in week 6. And boy did we answer the call. Carr played good throwing for 270 yards and 3 tds. One to TE Banks and the other two to HB Washington, who quietly has had a decent season in a contract year. Pittsburgh defense could stop us when they needed to and we won by final of 35-21. This was another good momentum builder for our young squad as we moved above .500 at (3-2)

WEEK 7 vs HOU - I dont know if we got a little over confident or if Houston just had our number but they came out and played better in all three phases of the game and dominated us completely. Jordy Nelson scored late in garbage time to make the final score 34-13. Houston held us to only 10 yards rushing. Carr threw three interceptions on an awful day for him. Jordy was the lone bright spot on otherwise a dim day. This one hurt and looking back is the start of a funk we have found ourselves in. An interception throwing funk. Back to .500 at (3-3)

WEEK 8 vs LAC - Having already lost to this team, we were out for revenge. That may not have been the best approach as we struggled all game. Offense didnt even have 200 yards total only scoring  6 points. Defense could not contain WRs especially on third down. We fell for the second time this season to Chargers 20-6. This knocks us back to (3-4) and in last place. We have to figure out a way to get offense going if we are going to compete in this division let along this league.

WEEK 9 vs IND - We said before the game if we held Luck to under 250 and didnt turn the ball over we would win it. Well we only did one of those things and it was not not turn the ball over. Carr has what could be his worst day ever throwing 5, yes you read that right 5, interceptions as we get beat 21-7. Washington looked decent carrying the ball we just could sustain a drive because we kept giving it back to them on turnovers. Defense came to play, especially Khali Mack who's been a tad quiet this year but not today! He had 4 sacks and FF. Getting beat is one thing. Beating ourselves is another and something we can not do. We fall to (3-5) on the year and look to rest of season as a testament to our will can we finish strong?

Thats all for today. Hope yall enjoyed and thanks for reading!

Raiders Report

Raiders fan welcome to the "Raiders Report" brought to you by owner and GM of the MBL Raiders, Cpt Planet. It has been a rough start to the season on both sides of the ball. Offense has struggled mightily especially in the run game. Our passing attack has been mediocre at best. QB Derek Carr has thrown for little over 550 yards, with a 50% completion rate. Also only 3 TDs to 2 Ints. Leading the way offensively has been WR Kenny Golladay with 13 grabs for 234 yards no TDs. Rookie TE Banks is 3rd in receiving yards on the team with 123 yards but leads team with 2 TDs. Jordy Nelson has also been solid hauling in a TD and 190 yards receiving. Defensively we have no one out there making big plays. Our leading tackler is ROLB Tahir Whitehead with 12. Only game in which we got the win vs MIA, CB Melvin had 2 pick 6's for our only defensive scores on the season. Enough boring you guys with stats lets get into brief breakdown of each week game going into the bye.

WEEK 1 VS DET - This was a huge game to kick off our inaugural season in the MBL and who else more fun to play than the all-time winniest franchise, the Detroit Lions. Both teams kind of started slow. The Lions QB Josh Allen went down with injury but backup Matt Stafford was waiting, ready to perform. And perform he did!. Threw for 275 yards and a TD. Lions defense played well also holding us to under 30 yards rushing. TE LaMichael Banks scores his first career TD and had 3 catches for 83 yards. In the end we couldn't match up to their intensity or talent. Final score Lions win 30-9.

WEEK 2 VS MIA- Week 2 was a bounce back game. We needed to show ourselves we could compete in this league. Right out of the gate we pick Allen Rose off for a TD. CB Rashaan Melvin then got him again for his second int and second int return for a td of the game. Botched xp and we are up 13-0. MIA QB Rose settled in after that and it was a very tight ball game. Derek Carr was efficient throwing 11/15 165 yards and a TD. TE Banks was the recipient of that TD. Khalil Mack had a sack and FF. Defensive played well as held on to win 23-14.

WEEK 3 VS LAC- First Division game of the season and its a big one for us sitting at 1-1 looking for our second win in a row. We could not guard their wideouts and they moved the ball down the field all game long. Philip Rivers played well throwing for 334 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rivers main target was Keenan Allen who has 130 yards and 2 scores. Raiders WR Jordy Nelson had a big game with a long TD of  72 yards. It wasn't enough to keep up with the high powered offense of LAC. Late redzone turnover sealed our fate. We lose 36-20 to the MBL Chargers.

WEEK 4 - BYE - We are trying to keep it simple this week and get everybody feeling good and rested. Main focus on strategy side is figuring out a way to run the football effectively and also cut out turnovers. We are going to go at it hard for a couple days this week then get some rest and do more mental preparation as we are preparing for a really good Jacksonville team next week.

That's about all the latest Raider news, oh one more thing contract negotiations are being held with WR Amari Cooper. We will do everything in our power to resign him, but as of now the two sides are not finding common ground. Look for more news on that story as it develops. That's going to conclude our blog here today. Thanks to those who took time to read and please don't hesitate to comment and give me feedback. Positive or negative! We always looking for ways to improve and get better. Thanks again everyone, until next time!

Bills Season Review

Welcome everyone to the Grid Bills season review. Overall it has a been a disappointing season thus far sitting at 2-8, and in just a moment I'll break down how we got to this point. For now I want to just briefly brag on a few guys who have played well despite the poor performances of the team as a whole. Rookie MLB Tremiane Edmunds has been a force in the middle for us on defense. He has 32 tackles, 2 FF and 3 Ints. All three lead the team in those categories. Jerry Hughes has been solid with 10 sacks so far but we lost him last game due to injury to shoulder for 7 weeks meaning for the season. We had a high hopes coming into this season, but did not live up to our expectations. We look to try to finish strong with lot of division games left on the schedule. As promised here is a weekly break down of our games so far.

WEEK 1- vs Ravens. Man this game was a battle to kick off the season! Hard fought on both sides. Josh Allen started hot 4/5 for 82 yards, but went down with injury that would sideline him until week 5. We do not like to make excuses but I feel like we could have won some of the tight ones if he had stayed healthy. Mccarron came in and played poorly throwing 2 ints. RB Shady Mccoy had a poor game with less than 30 yards on 9 carries. We fall short on the road to Grid Ravens 6-13.

WEEK 2- vs Chargers. After losing our starting QB week before moral was kind of low entering this one. We game planned to ride Shady and grind out a victory in low scoring game, but Chargers TE Hunter Henry played like a man possessed. He was snagging everything finishing with 6 grabs 132 yards and 3 TDs. We had no answer for him. We fell behind early which caused Mccarron to have throw more which resulted in more turnovers. 3 ints. He did throw 2 TDs and went 18/26 for 225 yards but the turnovers always costly. We lose the home opener 13-24 to the Grid Chargers.

WEEK 3- vs Vikings. Another barn burner in this one where we come up short... Shady went down early like second carry and never returned. We finished with 4 yards rushing... that's not gonna get it done. Mccarron threw for over 300 yards 16/24 2 TDs and 2 ints. We have to cut down on those to win in future. Corey Coleman had big day with 125 yards and 2 TDs. We end up losing late by score of 21-23 to the Grid Vikings.

WEEK 4- vs Packers. This was our biggest dud of the year. We weren't prepared mentally or strategically. Mccarron threw 5 ints which pretty much sums up the offensive side. Defense couldn't get stops when needed them. Rodgers threw for 2 TDs. We lose 5-26 to the Grid Packers.

WEEK 5- vs Titans. Josh Allen's triumphant return! Team was as hype as we've been all season. Shady finally had a day! 70 yards rushing with a td and added another 50 yards receiving and 2 more scores. Big story was the rookie who threw for 320 yards 3 TDs and zero interceptions. Now that is a recipe for success. It was a good day for Grid Bills as we win 34-20 over the Grid Titans.

WEEK 6- vs Texans. AH the game that shocked many and cost a few the eliminator challenge! This was an intense game from start to finish. Josh Allen confidence was high coming off win in his first full game as a starter. Defense had some key sacks and turnovers that put us in a position to win. Allen played well throwing for 285 1 td and 1 int. It was just enough to squeak by a very good Texans team. We outlasted the Grid Texans to win 20-17. Moved us to 2-4 on the year.

WEEK 7- vs Colts. This is hands down the worse game Allen had played all season throwing 3 ints and only for 150 yards and our lone td. Colts just beat us up and down the field. Luck as 14-16 for over 240 yards, he was just too comfortable all game long. Hats off to a tough Grid Colts team. They got the better of us as we lose 7-20.

WEEK 8- vs Patriots. Man did we need this win... Sadly a late fumble scooped by Mcourty and housed to take the lead was the turning point. Allen threw 3 ints again and that is never gonna get it done, must work to improve that stat. He also rushed for his first career td in this one. Pats defense gets it done on way to beating us 25-14. This loss hurt because had we won we would've been in position to control our own destiny to playoffs. Sadly we fell to 2-6.

WEEK 9-  vs Bears. This Bears team is something else let me tell you, I was down 14-0 before I had time to blink. Tribiscuit was having his way out there and doing whatever he wanted. Josh Howard ran all over us too with 100 yards and 2 TDs. Allen threw 4 ints.. smh. Edmunds caught an int but that was only highlight on defense as we get stomped 37-16 by the Grid Bears.

WEEK 10- vs Jets. Hands down the ugliest and grittiest game I've ever seen. This one was wild and entertaining to say the least. Both teams fumbled late instead of closing out wins which forced us into OT. In overtime more fumbles which it was pouring down rain and 12 mph winds but still all the fumbles you never knew which team had an edge if any. Late in OT Grid Jets make it into FG range to win it. Nothing was guaranteed as Jets had already missed 4 FGs this game. Like I said weather was hellacious but still no excuse for losing. Allen throws 2 more Ints also and we lose in OT 13-10.

****

Next week is our bye week and we will look to regroup because we will face Jacksonville week 12 and that's no easy task. Our remaining games are, : JAX, MIA,NYJ, DET, NE, MIA. More than likely out of playoffs unless Pats totally collapse! COME ON EDDIE don't be ready! Lol anyway thanks for joining us and come back and check out next edition probably a season recap after week 17. Also quick shoutout to Getting to know the Grid as I will be getting those up over next few weeks as well. Take Care, be safe on the East Coast. Peace out

Getting to know the Grid Redskins!

Welcome folks to this year new MADDEN 19 edition of “Getting to know the Grid,” better known as GTKG! We will be doing one on one interviews with every owner around the league. Learning about them as an individual but more importantly their views as new owner of their team! This first interview is with the owner of the Grid Redskins! It will highlight Warren, new Owner of the Grid Washington Redskins.

**********

Cpt Planet- Welcome to the show! Thank you for taking the time to be on today! Just for the record tell us your name or what you’d like us to call you? Also tell us a little about yourself?

Grid Skins- My name is Warren and I’m 31 from Long Island NY. I’ve been a part of Madden leagues since madden 05-06 on the PS2. I’m getting married in September and then focusing on becoming a dad eventually

Cpt Planet- Awesome man! How long have you been in Grid?

Grid Skins- I’ve just recently become a part of grid, but the activity is top notch.

Cpt Planet- Nice man, just wait it’s a heck of an experience! Any favorite moments since you’ve been here?

Grid Skins- Being able to watch the most recent playoff games and the competitiveness has surprised me but also makes me eager to play.

Cpt Planet- Playoff time is a fun in time in Grid! How did you originally hear about MBL/Grid?

Grid Skins – I think I saw it on Twitter? Not sure exactly.

Cpt Planet – Ok well who has been most influential since joining and do you have a favorite way to contribute like blogs or graphics?

Grid Skins- Zack Moore. He’s been a big help and has answered all my questions and pointed me in the right direction. No preference really.

Cpt Planet- Ah yeah Star is a good one to look to for help! Moving right along, who is your favorite NFL team?

Grid Skins- Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cpt Planet- Ah ok, I am from hometown of Terry Bradshaw wink wink, ha anyway who were you hoping fell to you in team selection?

Grid Skins- I was open to all challenges. It’s a CFM which I’ll have multiple seasons to craft my roster how I want to. Team building is the most exciting part for me.

Cpt Planet- Nooice attitude to have! What are some personal goals for you this cycle?

Grid Skins- I want to become known as an involved member. I love everything this league does, and I hope to show my support and involvement.

Cpt Planet- Well Id say you must stick around after winning the MJ Jersey! Lucky! Make a bold prediction for this time next as we are wrapping up cycle?

Grid Skins- I think the Grid and MBL both will continue to grow to bigger platforms and obtain more recognition as the standard for CFMs.

Cpt Planet- Oh yeah, we always moving forward! So tell me a few team goals for this cycle?

Grid Skins- My goal is to build a competitive team and get the Skins over their annual 8-8 finish.

Cpt Planet- Hope it works out for you man. Who are you most excited to play with on the new team?

Grid Skins- Darius Guice! He will have two good knees in madden!

Cpt Planet- Any advice for anyone on the fence about joining the Grid Gang?!

Grid Skins- Make sure you’re committed if you want the full experience.

Cpt Planet- Well said. Anything you want to add before we go?

Grid Skins- I just want to say thank you for having me in the league. Again, I’m from the olden days of custom draft classes/custom jerseys & teams where we were so immersed in our league. We had the pulse on everything going on. I know the Grid will rival those feelings and I can’t wait for M19!!! Thank you!

Cpt Planet- Thank you! Happy to have you here bud and look forward to an awesome Madden 19 cycle! Take Care and that’s going to do it for us today folks!

Capt.'s Official Mock Draft 1.0

Welcome Boys and Girls to Capt.’s Official Grid Mock Draft! Hope you all enjoy! This list is constructed off hear say and my personal beliefs. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think and where I went wrong! Thanks in advance for reading.

******

1-Star- Chicago Bears

The Commish has made it known, he will be taking the Bears this cycle! Look out NFC North, I predict Star to own this division.

2-Bananas- Jags

This fella here… I cannot get an accurate read on him because so much depends on the MBL team selection. I see him taking the Jags here barring he does not get them in MBL.

3-Adam- Falcons

Too much talent for Sklam to pass them up.

4-Fela Cowboys

Fela is another MBLer who is hard to get a read on but I will stick with this selection being it is the latest I have heard him say!

5-Kringe – Seahawks

Hometown favorite no brainer here.

6-MotorBrowns

Motor should be giddy at the Browns falling to 6. I think he snags them here no hesitation.

7-UnderoathzTitans

I see the Titans coming off the board early with a beast in Henry and young stud in Mariota. Not to mention the defense is solid.

8-Laf Eagles

Best team out the gate. Do not see them falling out of top 10.

9-Planet Bills

Change of pace for me. I still may take Saints but for now lets go Josh Allen!

10-DarthBen- Raiders

This is somewhat of a Shocker being Ben is a ravens junkie but He says he will take Raiders and I take him at his word.

11-Governor Saints

Best team in the League. I cant believe I let them slide passed me but the Govnah gets a very solid team young and ready to win now! TreQuan Smith oroy.

12-RedemptionRavens

Team he was hoping he would get falls to him. Lucky lucky.

13-Riko- Dolphins

Another case of Hometown team going to Hometown hero! Riko makes first wow moment in draft taking his Phins.

14-BobonauttTexans

Bobo wants a young qb to develop… what better team that the Houston Texans! Honey Badger makes their secondary next level.

15-Eddie Chargers

Really good roster here. I honestly did not think they would slip this far but Eddie is ready and finds a solid team this cycle as he is back in the AFC west.

16-Rusta Cardinals

Hometown team hometown kid blah blah. Lol Rusta takes his cardinals and does work with Josh Rosen finishing 3rd behind Mayfield and Allen in oroy.

17-Xpert- Rams

Honestly this team could go top 5, but I feel like they slide down to my boy Xpert! I feel as though he can’t and won’t pass on them here.

18-No1xdraftpic- Chiefs

Loads of speed. Only reason they fall this fall is losing Peters on defense.

19- AnyMatt49ers

Heading out west for Jimmy G’s run at a title. This defense is young and gonna be a fun team this cycle.

20-Kyle – Packers

Hometown team. He will be super excited to play with his team all cycle.

21-Eleven11nevel- Giants

Wow is right Barkely falls this far… yeah I doubt it too but this would be a great team for Eleven11nevel to show his true dominance.

22-GoDeeJay- Steelers

Lipp will be amazed by how many folks pass on Steelers but just too many issues. Loads of talent but contract situation with Bell makes it interesting. Also no Shaizer.

23-Msh Wolverine- Bengals

Joe Mixon and John Ross. Enough said. Sandog will do damage with this squad.

24-Fat- Vikings

Project Fat really wants his Raiders which prolly would be here if not for DarthBen, but Vikings are great team out the box and could be just what Fat needs to make a run at playoffs. Downside... Star is in division.

25-Almizzle Broncos

Broncos had a nice draft and those pieces will be fun to play with.

26-JB- Jets

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS ! I look for JB to build a contender up in the NY. Darnold could be a beast this cycle.

27-Warren- Buccaneers

Lots of young talent. Could be the sleeper team.

28-Mr.Witty- Patriots

Tom is oldie but goodie. And throwing passes to Gronk always makes it easier. Also Rookie Rb could be a solid weapon

29-Flair- Panthers

Talented indeed. Good young receiver in Moore. Can mcaff and cam be enough to get Rick in the playoffs?

30-DarceKnight- Redskins

Darius Guice is a monster. That’s about all I got here.

31-Gub- Lions

Channeling his inner Bomber. I predict Gub wins a superbowl with Lions in grid.

32-Buffalo Poppa Jr- Colts

You get what you get, and you don’t throw a fit, or a ton of Ints… Will Luck be ready? I do think they are pieces to build around here but not enough for someone to pick them.

******

Please leave feedback!! Thank you! So ready for new cycle!!

FOR NANNERS

Hey folks, Cpt Planet here providing feedback for MR Bananas.

My favorite team is the New Orleans Saints. Always has been.

3 teams I am excited to play with are obviously the Saints, but 3 others would be Chargers, Rams, and Jaguars. I say these teams all because of the RBs. Chargers also interest me with their defense and young studs. Rams are in win now mode spending alot of money but LOTS of talents on both sides. The Jags are also loaded and have a few LSU alum on the squad highlighted by Fournett and DJ Chark!

Whelp hope this tickles your fancy Bananas

Still way too early mock team selection draft 3.0

We are back with a 3.0 check it out let me know how bad it is!

*****

1-Star- Bears
I don't see The head honcho waivering from this team.

2-Hound- Eagles
Rumors swirling about Giants going here but I see Hound staying true to his team and taking the eagles for the second cycle in a row.

3-Playa- Jags
This one I am not so sure on but this team is loaded and at this very moment i feel they could go here.

4-Bananas- Browns
Despite all the hooplah about the Ravens going here at 4, I do not see it happening. I think Bananas would be more than willing to take the Browns at 4.

5-Fela- Giants
The Rook Barkleymake this team a hot topic but i feel they are too talented to drop any further. Hence they go to Fela at 5.

6-Adam- Titans
Gut feeling they come off the board sooner than later. Very solid team.

7-DoubleA-  Packers
Favorite team of the DoubleA easy pick.

8-Motor - 49ers
Thinking maybe he would like it on the west coast.

9-Planet - Rams
Wildcard

10-Kringe - Seahawks
Another instance of favorite team being available when Owner selects.

11-Underoathz - Cowboys
Very good team. Especially running the football.

12-DarthBen - Ravens
YAY

13-Laf - Falcons
Way too good to pass up.

14-Governor - Steelers
This combo of team and owner could be a force to be wreckened with.

15-Bobonautt - Texans
Coming off a cycle having Cam Newton, Bobonautt likes the fact D Watson could actually be a better version of that.

16-Any Matt - Chargers
Very talented team from the jump but with loads to build around for future.

17-Pride - Saints
Crazy talented on Offense. Who wouldnt want them.

18-Redemption - Chiefs
Too much speed and too many weapons on O. D is iffy but still solid choice.

19-Eddie - Pats

Saints Quarterly

Welcome to your quarterly Saints report. We have dug ourselves a hole losing three in a row after starting off 3-0. We did get a good win against the Colts but still are at 4-4 which puts us a half game back off the division lead. We are going to briefly break down each individual game over the last four.

********

WEEK 5 vs CHI

The Bears came out and dominated us at the line of scrimmage. We never could settle into the gameplan. It showed in our inability to run the ball. We lost 23-7 in a game we needed to win and did not even show up for mentally. This is 2 in a row we came out flat. Coaches questioned the effort after this one.

WEEK 6 vs ATL

This game was intense. Must win essentially although a tad early. The winner takes the division lead. Both Passing attacks were on display but the running game was non existant. Falcons had lead most of the game and a late score by Saints made it closer than it was. Final score 19-24. This one hurt but we played hard and that was a 180 from last week. On that positive note we moved on to face former champs Colts.

WEEK 7 vs IND

Boy boy boy we came away with a big momentum boosting win in this one. Offense was electric and Virgil throws for 3 scores and over 300 yards while Kamara run fors over 80 and finds pay dirt! Real story was how the defense held Hunter White in check. Saints showed some life and won 38-14 to us them at 4-3 on the season.

WEEK 8 Bye

The bye week was all about regaining confindence and getting healthy. RB Edwards could have came back this week but we are slow playing it and most likely we bring him back against JAX later in season. We were feeling good as we hop on a plane to nations capitol to face Skins.

WEEK 9 vs WAS

WAS RB Jeremy Nichols was the difference in this one. We had no answer for him as he had a over 150 yards and a score. We had our chances still but timely turnovers closed that window late as we fell 20-26 to a good Skins squad. Now we have to get ready and almost must win next week against the Buccs.

That is all for this installment of Saints Quarterly. Please continue to read and post feedback. Thanks

Capt.'s Clairvoyance

Here we go back with another round of predicitions by yours truly, Cpt Planet. Off we go with week 8.
*******

BILLS (2-3) VS REDSKINS (3-4)
This will be a very good game. I see it coming down to final couple of possessions. I like Bills to take care of Business. Bills 30-27.

BROWNS (3-3) VS CHIEFS (4-2)
Chiefs have looked good so far this season and it has been fun to watch. I see Chiefs in a close one 24-17.

BUCCANEERS (2-4) VS PACKERS (3-3)
Packers have been rolling lately and I see it producing another W for Cheeseheads! Pack win 34-22.

COLTS (2-3) VS TEXANS (5-1)
Clash of big dogs! Texans find a way and come out on top 45-14.

DOLPHINS (5-2) VS STEELERS (5-2)
GOTW! Alert..two teams looking to put that foot closer in the playoff door.. This one will have it all, blood, sweat, cheers, and even jeers. I like the Steelers to win 34-26.

EAGLES (4-2) VS PATRIOTS (5-1)
GOTW runner up! Unfortunately everyone can not be GOTW. I see tough one here with the Pats winning late 24-20.

FALCONS (3-3) VS COWBOYS (5-1)
Cowboys coming off a loss look to bounce back. Give me the Dirty Birds with the upset 30-19.

GIANTS (2-4) VS CARDINALS (3-3)
Gmen coming off an impressive win against a gritty Seahawks team will not be so lucky this week. Cardinals show some mercy and take this one 30-3.

LIONS (4-2) VS VIKINGS (5-1)
Big Game! One you do not want to miss. I look for the Lions to roar back from back to back losses and take this one! 35-30.

RAIDERS (1-5) VS BRONCOS (2-3)
Tough to pick a winner here. I like what both teams bring to the table but my guy is leaning towards the Raiders. 21-16 final

RAMS (4-2) VS 49ERS (4-2)
Another big game alert! This one is for who takes control out west! I like the way both teams have played but I see Niners getting the win 24-16.

SEAHAWKS (1-6) VS BENGALS (2-3)
Seahawks have not had a lot of success thus far.. However i see this week being the week they get it going. Hawks 28-27

TITANS (2-4) VS JETS (0-6)
This one could go either way. I think I favor the Jets in this one 23-14.

Capt.'s Clairvoyance

Welcome to Capt's Clairvoyance in our week 7 predicition article. This week are a little late for that reason we will not be picking 4 games because they have already taken place. Those include, : NYJ/WAS, KC/CHI, MIA/OAK, PIT/BAL. Last week went 10-4 again for 3/4 weeks. We will take it though we look to get better. Here we go with week 7 picks. My totals on the year are 37-18.

******

BENGALS (2-3) VS 49ERS (4-2)
These two teams both are coming off big wins but I like the Niners to win this one handily 34-18.

BILLS (2-3-0) VS BROWNS (3-3)
This is the GOTW! I look for a tight game, where neither team pulls away and whoever makes bigger plays at the end will win. Give me the Browns in style 37-34.

BUCCANEERS (2-3) VS EAGLES (3-2)
Eagles get a win this week but not as easy as they think. Eagles score late to take the win 30-24.

CARDINALS (2-3) VS RAMS (4-1)
I know the Rams have been ballin lately but hold the phone. This is the Cardinals division and it will show this week. Cards in big win 35-7.

CHARGERS (2-4) VS BRONCOS (2-3)
Two team in need of wins. This will be hard fought division game. I like the Broncos to find a way in a low scoring affair 13-5.

FALCONS (3-3) VS LIONS (4-2)
These two teams are my GOTW runner up. I really hate to pick a loser in this one, but my gut tells me Lions lets last week's loss linger a little and suffer another this week. Final score 34-27

JAGUARS (5-1) VS TITANS (2-4)
Jags had a big win against the Colts last week. I see that turning into a win streak. Jacksonville rolls 28-6.

PACKERS (3-3) VS PANTHERS (2-4)
Green Bay coming off a big division win over the Lions get a big win against a good Panthers team. Cam struggles as Pack win 31-20.

SAINTS (3-3) VS COLTS (2-3)
Saints rebound after a tough loss and find a way to win. Saints 21-20.

SEAHAWKS (1-5) VS GIANTS (1-4)
Both of these squads are due a win... So who do pick? I really like the Giants in this one by a slim margin 17-10.
*******

Thats all for this week. Be on lookout for next weeks edition. Thanks for reading.

Capt.'s Clairvoyance

Week 6 Predicitions coming at ya!! Last week went 10-4 not too bad. That puts me at 27-14 on the year. Let's see how we come out this week with some good matchups on tap.
****

49ERS (3-2-) VS CARDINALS (2-2)
This game has potential GOTW written all over it, butttt hang on one second. I think the Cardinals show some dominance in this one winning big 30-6.

BRONCOS (2-2) VS BEARS (3-2)
Bears are coming off a good win in New Orleans and looking to keep it going. Low scoring affair but I have Bears over Broncs 13-3.

CHARGERS (2-3) VS VIKINGS (4-1)
Vikings proved to really have what it takes to contend this season. I like them by couple scores 28-12.

COWBOYS (5-0) VS REDSKINS (1-4)
Cowboys were a little sloppy last weelk but managed a wild comeback to win it. I see it being easy this week as they coast 35-14.

JAGUARS (3-1) VS COLTS (2-2)
GOTW Folks... Winner takes control of second place behind red hot Houston. Let me have the colts in the one in a barn burner classic 31-30.

JETS (0-4) VS DOLPHINS (3-2)
Dolphins are a dark horse this season to make noise in the post season. Look for the Jets to stay defeated and lose 23-10.

PACKERS (2-3) VS LIONS (4-1)
These two teams live up the hype as rivals. Lions won first go round. Let me have the Pack in this one. Hate to pick against the Lions but going with gut saying Packers 35-31.

PATRIOTS (4-1) VS GIANTS (1-3)
Big game for the Giants this week... I think they put up a solid fight but in the end fall short losing by a score of 37-28.

RAIDERS (1-3) VS BILLS (1-3)
Two teams better than their records. I like Bills to outlast Raiders 17-14.

RAVENS (0-4) VS BROWNS (2-3)
Ravens are wildcard this week with new owner taking over.  I like Browns big 31-3.

SAINTS (3-2) VS FALCONS (2-3)
Falcons coming off big division win against Panthers where Saints coming off a loss at home against Bears. Can Saints muster up enough confidence to get back in control of division?? I think so! Saints win 28-16.

SEAHAWKS (1-4) VS STEELERS (3-2)
Seahawks have been playing well since new ownership group took over but I sadly do not think this is the week they get another win as they come up short to Steelers 21-31.

TEXANS (4-1) VS PANTHERS (2-3)
Panthers have been playing good football lately... Texans have been great! Give the Texans 28-17.

TITANS (2-3) VS BENGALS (1-3)
Titans struggled last week but I think they are the type to rebound quick and get a win against Bengals. Final score 21-15.

Capt.'s Clairvoyance

Well Well Well we seemed to have had an off week last week going a measely 7-6 in week 4. However confidence is high that we will perform this week Here we go on a full slate of games.

*******

Bears (2-2) vs Saints (3-1)

This game will most likely come down the wire and I feel like the Saints get it done at home. Final score is on the low side 17-10 Saints win.

Bengals (1-2) Texans (3-1)

Texans have been rolling lately and I do not see it slowing down this week. I see Texans edging out a tough Bengals squad 28-24.

Bills (1-2) vs Dolphins (2-1)

Bills had the week off last week and I feel like that extra time pays off. Bills win a tight contest 31-24. Big Division game has my attention and runner up for  GOTW honors.

Browns (1-3) vs Titans (2-2)

This should be another good game. I think the Browns bounce back after a rough outing defensively. Browns win in a close one 30-21.

Buccaneers (2-2) vs Vikings (3-1)

Vikings have been winning some battles so far this season. I see the wear and tear showing in this one. Give me Buccs by 10, 20-10 in a good game.

Chargers (2-2) vs Packers (1-3)

Packers have had a tough go of it so far losing some tight ones in late moments. I feel they show grit and come out on top this week against a solid Chargers team. Final score 35-17.

Chiefs (2-2) vs Raiders (1-2)

Division game that is kind of a big one! Hard to believe this early in the season but it's the truth. Division games are always big games. Enough babble, give me Chiefs 24-10

Cowboys (4-0) vs Eagles (3-1)

GOTW baby! These two know each other well and will deliver another classic. Let me get the Cowboys in a close one 24-21.

Lions (3-1) vs Seahawks (1-3)

Lions have been out for blood this season. Summoning the force whenever possible. I believe in the power of the force so give me Lions big 34-14

Panthers (2-2) vs Falcons (1-3)

I feel Atlanta really feels the pressure to win this week. That being said I feel they roll to easy win this week 30-17 Falcons.

Patriots (3-1) vs Jets (0-3)

Patriots roll on to victory 30-10 in a route. Sorry Jets' fans.

Ravens (0-3) vs Jaguars (3-1)

Ravens have not figured it out all year and still wont this week. Book the Jags by 2 scores 28-13.

Redskins (1-3) vs Rams (3-1)

Rams have had a great start to the season. Look for them to come out a lttle flat but finish strong winning 23-17.

Steeler (2-1) vs 49ers (2-2)

This game has potential to be a classic shootout. I see big numbers as Steelers get the win 44-38

That'll do it folks. Thanks for tuning in, lets hope I saw the future more clearly this go round! Please leave some feedback. Peace
