"King of the South"

Let’s start off with a little backstory… It was the start of Madden 22, August 18th to be exact. The 13th pick in team selection was up and the Super Bowl Winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers were selected. Chea must of thought he won the lottery. Not very often does the best user get the best rated team.

Fast forwarding a little bit and Chea was dominating the Pre-Season. It felt as though there was no hope for any of us. He was “Snatching Souls” left and right, beating everyone that came to challenge him. Some even referred to him as the “King of the South”.

But as you know… Not every fairytale has a happy ending. You might ask yourself “I thought he was the Seahawks”, well sort of. Buckle up, this might be the most interesting story of Madden 22 that you never even knew happened.

Madden 22 was notorious for glitches, especially early on. Whether it was the zones, or even the unavoidable coach firing. Chea, one of the most decorated members of NRG, was no exception to these glitches… Or was he..

Fast forward to November, with Thanksgiving on everyones mind. Chea’s first season with the Bucs wasn’t anything special, but he still had the top rated team nonetheless. Just like that it was all gone. Just like any logical person he instantly asked for a restart of the league. He even had some of the top members of the league on his side.

The end was near. There was chaos in the chat and all Chea wanted was a restart. Well he wanted his coach back.  Commissioners were blaming commissioners. Nobody knew what was going on.

With no real answer in sight he did the next most logical thing and left the chat.

Some might think “did this really happen?” Well yes, yes it did…Chea left the league and began his dynasty in the EA League. With no sympathy from any of the commissioners Chea was gone.

Now this may seem like a realistic scenario where Chea clicked the firing message and got booted from the league. However, I’m not buying any of it. What really happened was a drawn out plan by all of the commissioners to dethrone him as the King of the NFC South.

Jay knew he was no match for him and Ray needed a division member to join him in the NFC West as the Seawhawks. This “glitch” was in fact a drawn out plan that had probably been in the works for weeks. Just look at how they reacted when he left. They had to use humor to dissolve the chaos that was running through discord.

Now you might be thinking “where is Chea?” He was probably dominating the EA league at this time and decided it wasn’t enough of a challenge for him. So he joined back into the chat at a last attempt to get his team back or at least a restart.

He even tried to troubleshoot his settings and gamertags with tech wizard Jay, but has no luck. In a last ditch effort he convinced Jay that the restart was the only way. The commissioners plan was working and Chea was the victim of it.

A couple days go past and a wiser Chea decided to call out the commissioners as a plan to get other league members on his side. He knew it was a set up. There’s no other logical reason why he was booted. He was the “King of the South” and that must of put a target on his back. Just look how commissioner Ray responded. He knew he was caught, but the damage was done and Chea was forced to take the Seahawks job.

As we wrap up Madden 22 I just want to remind you of this situation. Take this information as you will. Who knows what would have happened if Chea had been the Buccaneers the entire franchise. Bobby most likely wouldn’t have 3 rings. Jay would have quit the league out of frustration. Ray would have broke his consecutive madden Super Bowl streak…oh wait.

Also, remember that your draft position is affected by leaving the league. ????

Not Your Average Game

As usual, the Lions are in another season of rebuilding and not in playoff contention. In week 16, the Detriot Lions faced off against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The final box score may seem like it was a defensive game with the Packers winning 17 to 9. However, a certain Lion decided to show up when the rest of the team didn't. As the game started off it was no question that the Lions were targeting their Superstar TE. Out routes, drags, corner routes you name it he caught them all. The Green Bay secondary could not cover Hockenson throughout the day as he ended with 283 yards and one touchdown recieving. These stats may seem average for todays star filled league, but Hockenson also brought in 17 receptions. This stat puts T.J. Hockenson, tied for 7th place on the all time single game record for recpetions. Watch out next year becasue big things are to come for the Lions and their young studs.

NRG 2020 Draft....Again

In 2020, the Detroit Lions are forgetting about the past and are ready to take the throne in the NFC North. This all starts off with the NRG draft. The Lions have several targets on the board that could all be the number one pick. The past few weeks they have had video conferences with LE Will Whitfield, DT Bernard Callaway, QB Todd Jacobs, LE Isaac Paulson, and FS Taj Freeman. The Lions believe that any of these players can make an impact day one in the NFL. Many scouts say they are leanings towards making Todd Jocobs, the young gunslinger out of Washington the number one pick. Only time will tell who the Lions will pick, but it sure will be an exciting season for the young squad.

Dynamic Dreads of Tennessee

After the loss to the Texans last week, rising star running back Doral Rambo had a talk with the Titans staff. He told reporters earlier this week that he had talked to the Titans about adding a new offensive weapon to the team. The Titans decided to trade a second round pick in the 2022 draft along with CB Zach Rhodes for Superstar WR Chris Conley and a seventh round pick in the 2022 draft. Coach Shower-Handel said, "We felt that we were missing a part on offense and Chris will fill that role for us." Rambo was ecstatic once he heard the news. So much that they plan to call themselves the "Dynamic Dreads".

The Dynamic Dreads faceoff against the Seahawks this week as they try to become 5-2.

Titans Face Tough Defeat

"I don't want to talk about it"

The Cleveland Browns won a defensive game this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. Coach Shower-Handel said after the game "Our defense played great, but our offense needs work." The Browns defense was lead by Emmanuel Ogbah who had three interceptions including a touchdown. Marcus Mariota had an off day throwing a career-high seven interceptions. Sources say Mariota was seen the night before having one too many drinks at a local Cleveland bar. On the bright side Titans, second-year corner Zach Rhodes ended the game with four sacks, five solo tackles, and a forced fumble. During the press conference, all Marcus Mariota had to say was "I don't want to talk about it." The Titans (2-2) hope to bounce back next week as they face the Texans (0-4).
