The Cardinals are having a rough go to start the season, dropping 3 of their 4 games so far, and ranking near the bottom of the league in offense and defense. The owner has made it clear that the offensive line needs to have some big men brought in to help move the pile, and some of the older guys are free to look for a contending team to chase that elusive championship ring. Some of the guys that are taking his advise are Adrian Peterson, Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, Karlos Dansby, Tramon Williams, Antione Bethea, and Tyvon Branch. In return, the team is hoping to get some offense line help, and i willing to move picks as well to do so.
The Diablos are back on track to compete for a playoff position just weeks after aquiring Big Ben. At first it looked like he was out of his mind, having no clue who to throw to, but the past 3 games have been much different. From a 6 interception, 3 TD game against the Steelers, Big Ben has thrown for 5 TDs without any interceptions in the past 3 games, while completing 73% of his passes, and winning 2 of the 3 games. He played well enough to win all 3, but the defense couldnt hold up against the rival Raiders. It will still be a tough road to the playoffs with the Broncos showing no signs of slowing down, but a wildcard spot is very possible.
Although it looks like all doom and gloom for the LA Chargers, history shows that the playoffs are not out of reach after a rough 0-3 start to the season. The Chargers started the season with a close loss to division rival Broncos, followed by a 3 point loss the the Dolphins, and another 3 point game to the hated rival Chiefs. Despite having a top 10 defense in Scoring, Total YPG, and Passing YPG allowed, the Rushing YPG is near the bottom. The offense has struggled with turning the ball over, seeming having a turnover early in each game to make them chace the score. But this Franchise has been through similar times. In 1992, they started 0-4, being outscored 95-29, but finished the season 11-5, winning the first round of the playoffs with a shutout of the Chiefs, before finally losing to the Dolphins in the second round.
The Chargers front office is hard at work to improve the offensive capabilities of the team, and may look for a peice or two on the defensive side of the ball. Recently, Marshal Yanda was brought in to help stabilize the offensive line. There is word that a pass catcher may be in the works as well to help the struggling Tannehill.
The Chargers are ready for the season, after much anticipation and a very lengthy draft. With the NFL deciding to have a league wide re-draft, the Chargers loaded up on defense. They are poised to stop opposing offenses, and hope to create turnovers and score from the defensive side of the ball, as they anticipate offensive struggles. The offense is lead by Adrian Peterson and Ryan Tannehill. The duo hope to keep them in games, not giving the ball back often, and just managing the game. The defense is led by some of the best there is in the NFL, such as Bobby Wagner, Darius Slay, Michael Bennett, Kam Chancellor, and Jamie Collins. The management is looking to bolster both sides of the ball even more, by moving future draft picks to acquire talent. Only time will tell how far this team can go, as they are in a competitive division, and has the toughest division in the league withing their conference. This is the first and last season they will play in LA, and the last season under the Chargers name and logo. Stay tuned to find out where they are moving to and what team they will become. Hopefully the last season is a memorable one.
