A New Day In Detroit

A New Day In Detroit

August 26, 2021 | 3 Min Read

"Alot of change is on the way, we haven't been good in sometime and that is about to change". - Rod Murray

New GM and Coach Rod Murray was stern during his opening press conference as the new GM and Head Coach for the Detroit Lions. Rod Murray recently signed a guaranteed 5 seasons (+5 season coaching option) deal for $75 million two weeks ago and have been acculumated with the city every since. The newly aligned coaching staff features, Anthony Lynn (OC), Aaron Glenn (DC), and Marquette King (ST). Rod Murray kept the press conference short stating, if you saw the team, "We don't have much to talk about yet". Murray made sure to state that former GM Matt Patricia, in some NSFW words, was not a great man for the task and that alot of jobs are in the air. He left stating,

"Alot of people in this building should feel uncomfortable, nothing is set in stone. No position is settled, no contract guaranteed (except mine). Detroit deserves a team to be proud of and right now the Lions are not that."

The Boys In White and Black Are Back!!!

They're Back!!!!!

The Oakland Raiders have not seen much success this franchise, but with the recent addition of GM Nino Brown that all might just change. "We have a healthy balance of experience and youth, speed and strength, brains and bronze, now we just have to put it all together to compete!" Those were his opening remarks as he addressed the media after being introduced. Coming off a 9-7 season the Raiders are poised for a breakthrough season and GM Brown guarantees it.

"The biggest weaknesses I see now are at our Linebacker positions, we'll be implenting a 4-3 defense so we'll need some leaders and guys that can fly around the field. The Radiers believe they've started that rebuild by signing Browns former  MLB Sione Takitaki. His ability to fly around the field gives the Raiders some relief and Mr. Brown is said to be scouting some defenders at local pro days to build the depth at those positions.

Offensively, Mr. Brown said he just needs production, He believes in Jon Gruden's offensively philosophy and the talent already there. He did bring in speedster Marquis Goodwin, but believes his mark will be in the special teams department and seldomly on offense. When asked about the running backs or Quarterbacks he stated Carr and Jacobs will lead, the rest will follow.

The attitude around RaiderNation is excited. GM Brown can't wait to get started and draft the new future of this team. The goal is stated. Super Bowl!

M20 Team Selection Predictions

M20 is less then a month away! And while some may say, different year, same Madden. There are some community users that cant wait to get their hands on the latest installment! The same can be said about NRG! In an important evolution year for the league! The league saw some unfortunate departures, but some exciting arrival of members for the upcoming season. With that being said the latest piece of information everyone is waiting on... Which team will I have? The commissioners are rolling out a new pilot to decide teams, but it still exciting to guess where will users in end up!!!

1. PapaFranchise: 49ers: Won't Spend Much Time Here. Moving On.

2. X1DEAD 3MISSING: Browns - Another one will breeze through

3. CheaBk713: Chiefs - Another year another top team will dissolve. M20 Cover Athletes and Fastest player on game sells Chea on this buy. The over/under of Tyreek Hill being on another team by S3 has to be low. He doesn't do well with talent management... AT ALL

4. XxNartarmxX: NY Jets - Strange season for Sean; normally a play first individual. Struggled to stay engaged and random outburst on how the game sucks! This year he rebounds, in a easier division then NFC West with a stud QB and newly found talent. He rebounds M20

5. FlaBoy5: Redskins - Hail to the Redskins! Guice was a storyline for M20, but this year. Running won't do it. Everybody willing to go 6-3-2 Defense when Guice on the field.

6. MurceilagoMan06 - Broncos - Quiet year for Broncos, made some noise but looking to more with a new QB under the helm.

7. NCRaised93 - Jaguars -Another year in Duval. Disappointing M19 by Jags standards, coming off a ratings hyped year. We'll see how the Jags rebound, with an experienced QB at the helm, but does Defense take a dip!?!?!

8. FinessinFlexin - Falcons - Finally!!! Finally! The divisions keep getting easier for him. Maybe this madden he'll get some comp with his family reunion.

9. MikeyBallSucks - Bills- Madden Class has taught him well. Ending M19 in the AFC Championship, he has momentum heading into M20.

10. Sypda1331 - Ravens - Lamar Jackson's intro to NRG didn't go as planned. Highlighted as a M19 disappointment, hopefully the Ravens can rally around Jackson, Earl Thomas and Hollywood Brown to bring some total package excitement to Baltimore.

11. KGR x Kev - Saints: Surprising slight last season kept Kev out of New Orleans, but after a year away. Gets to go home; Or has the time away created a void in here heard to look elsewhere.

12. Bcarr52 - Steelers: Start waving your terrible towels! A match waiting to happen from jump! Finally gets the team from the start, no AB or Bell, truly a building piece. Will team ratings or skill be the concern this season?

13. Kyce0601: Cowboys - America's Team keeps its M19 owner. Consistent User in M19 that will have some franchise changing dicussions to make out the gate if real life transactions don't get completed. Zeke, Dak, Coop, Jones. Who not getting paid? Hope there's enough thought there and not on playbooks?

14. Numba1draftpick: Giants - Public Enemy #1. The perfectionist MUT troll, that saw his draft ranking take a drop due to Friend-Gate, looks to continue his reign over NRG after a dominant M19. Looking to run other users out of the league. he joins the competitive NFC East. Difference between AFC W and NFC E, the East users REALLY could careless. Have a blast! You really got a task on your hands w/ Giants.

15. LuisMarte - Bears -Panthers, a Year ago. With Bears available. Goes back to what looks right. NFC N should be more quieter for him.

16. DuceTrey1- Panthers - The NC Native finally gets to use Cam and Christian. Say goodbye to Seattle, although Metcalf made it interesting, he finally decides to leave the west. Bye Bye Ciara!

17. DaMobsTa62: Dolphins - (REPLACE ALERT) Don't know much about our former Jets users, but I can only imagine after YEARS of dedication to the Jets, this year with FA luck/money. He'll have to head down 95 to another AFC E squad with nice S talent. The build of the team is very similiar, but will he stick around to play it out?

18. Numba1cubfan: Bucs - Really the impressive user of the M19. Rather it was through Madden Classes provided by his brother or not. Cannot hate on the improvement he made. Still need to get over the hub with some competitive users, but is making leaps and bounds within league. And thats without gaining the hated status like his brother. SMART MAN!

19. RealRaiders8 - Raiders - Home is where the Heart is; a quiet and frustrating saw Raiders' coach lose his stronghold on EVERYTHING; conference, division, and mental health in NRG. Ultimately, walking away from the league altogther. Without numba1draftpick in his conference; will he bounce back?

20. Savagelifekillz: Texans - A healthy add for M19. Impressive user that is very talented. Looking for a strong followup on his M19 debut.

21. Realtalk ii: Vikings: A late late addition to M19, had a strong 7th season but struggled with in division competition. Looking for him to establish himself as a strong contender in M20.

22. 8lkMamba24: Seahawks: Quiet user, slightly active and mildly competitive. Its on him to change this narrative. 1000% sure he could careless though, and thats why I respoect him.

23. L3fyWarrior: (Chris Broussard Take): Cardinals -  Once recognized as Public Enemy #1, now NRG's Father of the Year candidate has struggled to say the least. There are those that commend him for his family first approach, I criticize him for being unable to prioritze that same thing. Everybody got wife/kids/bills, no participation trophies here. Time to sh&t or get off the pot!

24: Sixsevendemon: Chargers -  New addition, comes with some mystery to his game. Is he SIM? Is he MUT? One thing we do know he is unapologetically harsh and should continue to bring competition to the AFC W.

25: N3w0r13ansb01: Rams - The Rams has always been a breeding ground for new Talent in NRG and this year is no different. Labeled a as a mature casual gamer, dont get it twisted. He has a few upset wins under his belt and should show it early.

26. RealMcFly: Bengals - The AFC North just got in contention for best division with this addition. Strong offensive minded user should have fun with Green, Ross and Mixon. Look for him to finally bring some life to Cincy!

27: Karl MarX8: Titans - Nothing is know about this user. So can be an early dark horse coming out the gates. Gets a solid team to build with, has decisions to make at QB, but if can run effectively I like his chances to compete with Bills for the Division. Let's hope he enjoys the league!

28: BigDawgWR: Lions - Another user that can surpise early. Will have tough task in Detriot, but with weaker division. Money on being a playoff/wildcard contender early.

29. Mattywoo67: Colts - Redemption is a word commonly associated with NRG; had a quick stint before. Looking to rebound, Indy is just the place to do it. Little expectations with Jags in division, but having the ability to beat his friend in Houston might provide incentive.

30. OhNoItsRio - Eagles - Continuing the theme of Redemption, once a lauded team in Madden, they fall to 30th on the list. Looking forward to seeing if he can redeem himself. Maybe with a fixed phone, he'll surprise some people in a loaded NFC East. Or at least, provide insightful information on what builds to get for 2k20.

31. Mr. Titans - Whoever is left at this point (Pats and Somebody). Honestly. Does it matter? Just dont take this as a dig bruh, I'm sure I'mma b in your DMs asking for one of those studs you draft with the 1-2 pick repeatedly.

32. TBA - Best of the rest.

The Most Dominant Player Ever?

NRG's Most Dominant Player Ever!

Little was known about Derrius Guice, the former second round pick of the Washington Redskins in 2018. The RB out of Louisiana was critized about his work-ethic, character and other things going into the draft process. However, looking back I'm sure the Redskins are excited they grabbed him. Since being drafted, there has never been a player to put up the amount of stats he has or trophy accollades as well. The 5 time MVP  has dominated the awards and in 5 years has placed himself to be the career rushing touchdown leader within his 6th year in th league as well as 8 amongst career rushing yards. NRG was able to sit down with the running back to ask him a few questions about his career.

How do you feel about your career so far?

Guice: "I'm blessed man. I'm so lucky to be apart of this team and be able to produce year in and year out, its a testament to the hard work my teammates and I put in every year"

I wanna go back to your rookie year, what stands out the most. MVP or Super Bowl?

Guice: " Man its so hard honestly. Like as a rookie, you want to just contribute, but to be the best in the league!! While winning it all! Man that was like, having my cake and eating it too"

Only 26, and already a 5 Time MVP, whats next?

Guice: "Hopefully, another ring. I'm beyond the MVP thing now. My individual legacy is cemented. Nobody can touch that. It sucks I got hurt in the NFC Championship and couldnt be there for my team, but things happen. We had a successful season and can only bounce back for year 6."

What do you say to the critics that argue, the league has made running easy or moves are easier this year?

Guice: "Simple, join me. Look across the league, since I've been in. It's only me at the top. 2-5 change like the wind, but I'm #1 every year. Thats not by mistake. It'seasy to do it one year, then year 2 they gone. Its Real, then Theres Fake.. You Decide"

Some say, oh your a running team, your response?

Guice: "We are!! (laughing). Breaking Neeeeews!!! (laughing) I love Matty, Steff, Murray all them boys but we make our money on the ground and on defense!"

Coach Murray has been known to retire after year 5-6, how would you feel with him leaving?

Guice: " Crushed.. man you know Coach Murray is one of the best coaches, I've ever had. He understand my style and help bring out the best in me. We want him to stay, but he spoke his reasoning and we respect it. He's brought us a ring. Chocolate City will always love him for that"

Mock Draft V1

Today, I dropped the first version of our Mock Draft for team reveal. Alot of questions surrounding the teams.. So lets get into the breakdown.

1. PapaFranchise - 49ers

No Suprise here. His League, His Team, His Pick. Moving on.

2. T3N Titans - Texans

Titans has always been a fair guy as it comes to madden team. And while the Giants are his favorite team and available. His determination to have a commish bowl, keeps him in the AFC with a up and coming power squad with a young QB.

3. He's Cowboys - Cowboys

For both personal and professional reasons. No Comment.

4. Chea - Eagles

Chea has always been the laughing stock of the league. But for good reason, always has the "best available" squad and turns into nothing. This year's victim. The reigning Super Bowl Champs. Eagles are looking for a volcano to land in and crash and burn!

5. RealRaiders - Raiders

Another no brainer. No assessment required.

6. Sean Gormel - Browns

This one is a tricky pick and can set the league in various directions. I believe Coach Gormel formula involves a shifty QB and a thumping running back. The Browns just answered both with Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubbs. Throw in a solid defense and his M18 dominance in the AFC North. I believe he stays in Ohio.

7. Spyda13 - Ravens

A member of the "crew" had a rough M18 outing, but with Lamar Jackson in tow. Look for an explosive M19 season.

8. MikeyBills - Bills

Soon to have a rule after him, no change in Buffalo. The Josh Allen era begins!

9. Ike - Giants

The league's "lil brother" returns from his vacation excited about the future in NY. Now with a running back. He will be a serious contender. Now he just needs to learn how to curse properly in DMs when upset, but that'll come with maturity.

10. Joey - Vikings

The league's favorite person returns to Minnesota with a new QB at the helm. God Speed sir. God Speed.

11. Str8 Love - Jaguars

In the first unfortunate turn of teams, family first prevails as the Jags go back to their M16/M17 owner. Now in the AFC South he looks to redeem himself with legit weapons, none renamed and real formations. See how long it takes for a formation reveal this year. Goal Line Wildcat Bunch anyone?

12. Matt B. - Packers

He's quiet, he's consistent and he's back in Lambeau.

13. Bobby S. - Falcons

The league's most consistent disappointment finally heads home. After two seasons and alot of let downs, lets see if the Atlanta vibe can resurrect his smack talk and get him a pair of gloves. His talking has not so far.

14. E. Tinono - Broncos

Another easy one hear. Who wants the Broncos anyway?

15. Eric V. - Bucs

Another year to see if he does a crash sell of all the talent. But back with the Bucs, we'll see.

16. Myles S. - Bengals

Blood is thicker, then water. And will this relationship may only be "red kool-aid" it still knocks the M18 Jaguars outta Duval County. The Bengals provide Coach Stewart with a solid offense with a buildable defense around William Jackson. The urge to compete with friends and family in AFC North makes this happen!

17. JTC1356 - Panthers

Cam and Luke. What else makes this team appealing, only he knows?

18. KingMarte -Bears

Another league favorite gets to go back to his M17 Bears. Solid contender and should do well with Roquan Smith and Tarek Cohen.

19. Browns - Chiefs

Bummer soon as they start to put talent together, they arent available, but no fret insert the Chiefs. With Hunt and Hill, their offense is explosive and should be fun with Mahomes. Just have to build elsewhere, but he been with the Browns. He knows alot about building.

20. Rich Poe - Titans

Getting to the best of the rest. Marioata give him a solid QB which he didn't have last year with the Colts and alot of Defense. Should be a beneficial pairing.

21. Kev - Saints

Don't get him started, so I won't. Saints are there and out of respect, nobody grabs them early.

22. Russell Wilson - Rams

Very much a personal disappointment for myself. His charisma and sportsmanship carries him out west to LA. He loved the spotlight with Russell and Ciara he will have alot of fun with Gurley and crew down on sunset.

23. Dori - Patriots

Could be a lower pick, but Patriots are really a sink hole for users. He's quiet and enjoys them.

24. Lions - Chargers

Last year's suprise player returns but this time to compete with a heated rival in the AFC West. Derwin James makes this team appealing and with Bosa. He can run that tricky 3-3-5 everyone hates.

25. Eagles - No Comment

26 - FlaBoy5 - Redskins

HTTR, well at least I'm hoping.

27 - BCarr52 - Steelers

Last year golden team, loses some spunk but gains a credible user. Last season didn't go as planned, but when pit against his cousin and best friend/college teammate. Sparks will fly!!! Cover up with them terrible towels!

28 - Jets - Jets

     Need I say more.

29 - DTrav17 - Dolphins

A former college Free Safety that enjoys the game. He sees it all roaming the middle field and will easily relate with Minkah and Rashad Jones to do it all. Will be a competitive player but will struggle with a so-so offense.

30-32: Throw Bryan Chazes in here somewhere. He rarely going to play anyway after he starts season 0-4.

With Marshall out, Thompson looking to step up..

The Redskins (7-1) enter their bye week on a somewhat damper note. While they currently sit atop the NFC with an outstanding record. They return from a 29-14 victory over the Bengals, without their star RB Keith Marshall. With Marshall out six weeks with an abdominal tear, who will carry the weight??? Insert RB Chris Thompson!

"Chris has been a package RB for us thus far" said Coach Murray, "but I think with [Keith] Marshall down for awhile, Chris will have an unique opportunity to allow us to keep doing what we like to do." Chris Thompson currently has 7 carries on the season for -1 yards, but has been productive in the passing game with 14 catches for 143 yards and 1 TD. "With Chris being on the field more often, it allows us to open our playbook more with him in the game, loosing Keith hurts, but with Chris Thompson we are solid we can continue to operate without a beat".

Down to 53, The Redskins Looking for Fresh Start

"We're building something special...looking forward to it transitioning onto the field....."

The Washington Redskins had an exciting week! 4 days after announcing that Head Coach Jay Gruden would be replaced with Coach Rod Murray. The team slimmed down their roster to the league mandated 53 and are preparing for the upcoming season. Across the board there was a few suprises and snubs on players that made the roster and Coach Murray had a few highlights for things he wanted to excel at this season.

"I'm excited about the pieces we have here, Coach Murray said at his presser, "the players we have are not only great football players, but are fans/students of the game. That will allow us so much more flexibility then in the past, because players not only know their positions but they understand whats suppose to happen around them and how they fit and why they are important. Assignment and Accountabilty will be key to our success".

A few players that we were suprised to see make the roster were RB Keith Marshall, QB Nate Sudfield and LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, Coach Murray raved about their ability to be X-Factors and looks forward to their development. On the flip side of that a few players that are unfornately looking for work outside of Redskins Park are QB Colt McCoy, TE Jeremy Sprinkle, S Monte Nicholson, and S Will Blackmon, Coach Murray said it was tough decisions, but mostly was upset with the development of TE Sprinkle and S Nicholson out of training camp. They just didn't make the cut this year, but we look forward to them next upcoming season in training camp.

Coach Murray believes the strength of his team lies on the defensive side as he stressed they would be more aggressive and sound this season, as well as his offensive approach:

"We're putting more on the shoulders of our stars this year, in order to be  great we need to expand our comfort zones, so we'll see more of OLB Kerrigan and Smith down at the DE position this year. Rookie Jonathan Allen will slide into a 3-tech to give us that advantage he displayed at Alabama, and offensively our WR corp is alot bigger this year, which will help us in redzone situations. We have the luxury of 5 RBs that will all contribute in some capacity this season. Each of our RBs have strengths and weaknesses, that I'm excited we can explore with. We're building something special here, and I'm looking forward to it transitioning onto the field and into multiple wins."

The Redskins begin the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

THE RB DEBATE: GOAT? YOU DECIDE

THE GREATEST RB IN MADDEN 17 NRG HISTORY IS....

This is a fair question depending on who you ask and a question that has plagued users over the last few seasons. It's the true underdog story for two overlooked prospect that turned the league around with their elusive speed and underwhelming strengh. While neither have reached the ultimate team accomplishment as many times as they would have hoped. Their individual accolades are plentiful. As they both have racked up awards after awards, as the league season begins its final lap, its time to crown the Best RB of NRG. So with personal opinion and in-game highlights aside, lets debate? Keith Marshall or Ed Holloman...Whose the Goat?

CASE FOR KEITH MARSHALL....

Keith Marshall entered the league on a tear. After being giving the keys to the Redskins car, he took off with two repeat 2500k yard and 25+ TD performances. All while helping win a SB along the way. After 2 down years, Keith rejuvinated his career in 2020 when he ran for 2100k yards and won the NFC Offensive Player of Year and RB of year. However, injuries have plagued Keith Marshall's career and his stats have shown. After his 2 breakout years, Keith has missed 17 games since the 2018 season. While claiming to be dubbed the most versitle RB in the league, Keith Marshall has not excelled in the recieving game as his counterpart never once loggin a year of 1000 recieving yards. Because of Keith's impressive feats he is currently on pace to be the NFL leader in NFL Rushing TDs.

CASE FOR ED HOLLOMAN

The Louisville Alum entrance in the league, was one of luck. The Cardinals selected him as a last second addition and he has proven to me a solid addition to the team. After splitting time with RB David Johnson his rookie year, Ed Holloman took the reigns and had a record year as a rookie running for almost 3000k yards and 27 TDs. He followed up that year with another stellar 2500yd/25TD season. After the first two years, Ed like Keith's performance took a dip in performance as he would see a decrease in carries and yards. Since entering the league in 2018 he has missed 4 games due to injury. He helped his team get to the SB but unfortunately loss to the Ravens. After Keith took the NFC Crowns in 2020, Ed doubled down in 2021 by posting an impressive feat with 1300yds/18TDs rushing and 1100yds/8TD receiving the first in this M17 league history. While holding the record for rushing yards in a season, keith also holds the top two records for rushing yards in a game with 440 and 419.

THE VERDICT

If you've played either...then you can choose either. If your a fan of brute strengh then Keith's your guy. If your looking for a versitile RB that has excelled in the run/recieving game then its Ed. But the numbers don't like. Since 2018 (when both RBs were in the league) the stats are obvious Keith Marshall (6819yds, 82 TDs, 6.3 YPC) Ed Holloman (9094yds, 91TDs, 7.2 YPC). while in the recieing lane Keith Marshall (185cats, 1979yds, 10TDs) and Ed Holloman (169cats, 2520 yds, 22TDs) The number speak in favor of Ed Holloman. As the great Jay-Z once said....Men Lie, Woman Lie, Numbers Dont!

Browns Final Stretch Review

Browns Final Stretch Review

As the regular season starts to dwindle down and the new ownership has slowly gained some momentum with the fanbase here in Cleveland. Lets recap what changes and gameplay we like on each side of the ball.

OFFENSE

The offense continues to shine behind Rookie QB Brennan Connolly. It would suprise us if he is not selected as the Rookie of the Year as his stats this year (QBR: 100% 66% Comp 2611 yards 19TDs 14Ints). If he continues this streak, he may put himself in the conversation for League MVP. While the running backs has had its instability, the Murray family has found spots of excellences in FAs. They slowly transitioned Charles Sims III iinto the 3rd down roll and brought in Cortez Rouse and Marshaun Coprich to compete. Rouse took the job but with him and Sims out with injuries. Coprich will be the guy down the stretch, his latest performance (3 atts 52 yards 1TD) may be a teaser, but for insurance policies look for Mr. Murray to bring in some veteran to share the load. The WR spot has been the bread and butter for this team. While negotiations have probably led WR Corey Coleman towards a franchise tag, he has more then earned it with his play this year. His 44 receptions for 1012 yards 11 touchdowns is currently second in the NFL. Josh Gordon is a solid #2 which gives the Browns the ability to attack the middle of the field. Rookie WR Raysean McCauley went down with an injury so the Browns have been playing hookie, putting in various Practice Squad WRs to see who can contribute the most. Of the WRs used, 3rd year WR Lascelle Zedalis has proved he can be the viable threat, look for the Browns to tie him up to a 2-3 year deal in the offseason. The offensive line has also had phases of excellence, but know they need to get better if they are looking to contend in the playoffs.

DEFENSE

The defense has been the mystery thus far in the season, but as of yet they have been hot. Overall the defense, over the 4 game win streak has produced 16 turnovers and 21 points. Very impressive mark for a defense that has been tagged as old and slow by many analysists and bloggers. Nonetheless, the Browns continue to prove that sometimes its Veteran knowledge over skill that wins! The Defensive Line hauls in alot of veterans, but DT Malik Jackson continues to be a problem in the A gaps allowing the LBs to free-flow and make countless plays. DEs Cliff Avril may be looking at an offseason exit, injruries have hampered his production. LB Emmanuel Ogbah, who has stated he will be seeking a new team in the offseason production has been spotty, so the Browns may be better off moving on and seeing what other talent arises in the later rounds. The secondary will get a total overhaul, Mr. Murray was very adament about that. Safties Eric Berry and Kam Chancellor are both north of 30 and will command a large sum of the cap space in the remaining contracts, so look for the Browns to make moves there. Otherwise, they have been huge contributers causing fumbles and interceptions down the stretch. Look for that to continue.

OVERALL

The Browns look prone for a playoff appearance. The question isn't will they contend, but going forward what does the future look like. Look for alot of willing and dealing in Free Agency for players that can contribute and do it cheaply. They believe they have their nucleus with a Rookie QB and WR, and a contendable offensive line, but without a stud RB. They may look to draft one. With no picks in the first two rounds, the Browns have to get create with their player acquisitions and the Murrays are confident they can find gems, for half the price of some of the over the hill Superstars they have. They have to be smart with their cap, and unfortunately it's alot easier on paper to make it all work. Look for Eric Berry or some package of players to get release, WR Coleman to get tagged and alot of PS player signed to future contracts these last few weeks. The Browns can make it to the AFC Conf Championship, but will take a team effort to get there.

Coleman Shines as Browns beat Texans 45-34

"This was a game we needed to get on the right foot..."

After losing last week against the Patriots, the Browns (4-2) rebounded and defeated the Texans (1-5) 45-34. The offense was lead by WR Corey Coleman who was very impressive with 4 catches for 143 yards and 2 TDs. Coleman was asked about his performance after the game, "We started clicking on offense, we're not where we want to be, but this was a game we needed to get on the right foot, we're headed in right direction".

While offensively the team was suffiecent, the defense also helped account for 3 touchdowns on 2 interceptions for touchdowns and a block fg returned for a touchdown.

The Browns head to Miami next week to face the Dolphins.

Browns Owner Introduces Weekly Network

"We want to be as transparent with our fans as possible, this outlet will allow that....

As the Browns look to turn the corner on the franchise, Owner Rod Murray believes that means also including the fans with the most active and engaging social media platform ever. So the Browns organization was proud to partner with PNC to establish the Da Dawg Pound Media. A team created by Mr. Murray which will produce a video weekly covering all the news going on with the Browns during that week. From Game recaps, interviews, player conversation, the show will cover it all. When asked why he felt this was necessary to turn the culture of the Browns, Mr. Murray stated,

"The city has been through alot of turmoil, and we get the sense they only get to see what happens on Sunday, and that product has not been adequate. We feel in order to show the city how much we love them and how much work we do during the week, we want to be as transparent with our fans as possible, this outlet will allow that to happen".

The first edition of the show will be pushed this Sunday, and will be published every Saturday afternoon.

This will be our first look at the new Browns so we are excited to see what the Browns bring to the field. Coach Murray said he looks to establish a strong running game against a strong run defense thats only allowing 55 yards per game on the ground.

Patriots Slow Down Browns 42-31

"Not the start we desired, but one we can learn from"

It was a sour beginning for the Murray regime in Cleveland, as the Browns (3-2) fell to the Patriots (3-2) 42-31. The Browns relied heavily on the passing game of rookie QB Brennan Connolly (24/45 290yds 2TDs) but it wasnt enough to counter the Patriots offense. "We have to establish the running game", Coach Murray said, "45 passing attempts is just too much to win a game." The Browns struggled defensively as they gave up over 300 total yards, FS Eric Berry was very emotional about the loss. "This isn't how you want to start off under a new owner and head coach", he added, "this is not the start we desired, but one we can learn from and strive to get to the playoffs".

The Browns are off to Houston to face the Texans (1-4)
