The Titans lose once again in the AFC Championship game. The Titans got the brakes beat off of them, losing 33 to 7 to dominated the Cleveland Browns team. The Titans had no answer for rookie running back Kevin Thompson. He ran for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Odell Beckham Jr had 93yards and one touchdown. Coach E.Warren said we had no answer for their offense. They did whatever they wanted. The Titans offense struggled for the second game in a row. The Browns team shutdown the Titans run game. Derrick Henry ran for only 71 yards. Also, Marcus Mariota threw three interceptions. This is the third year in a row the Titans made to the AFC championship, but they come up short once again. Titans are looking to make some moves in the offseason to improve their team.
The Titans defeated the Houston Texans 14 to 7 in the AFC Divisional round. The Titans struggled to move the ball against the tough Houston defense. JJ Watt and Clowney gave the Titans offensive line trouble the entire game. Marcus Mariota was running for his life. However, the Titan's workhorse Derrick Henry carries the team to victory. He finished the game with 117 yards and two touchdowns. The Titan's defense played well, forcing the Texans into four turnovers. Titans linebacker Leighton Vander Esch had two interceptions, and Rookie Nick Smith had one interception. Coach E.Warren was happy with his defense, but the offense has to be more successful in winning a championship. The Titans play the Browns next week in the AFC championship game.
The Titans defeated the Los Angeles Rams 27 to 7. The win helped clinch the number one seed in the AFC. Derrick Henry lead the way with 18 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Mariota went 10/15 for 160 yards with two touchdowns. The Titans defense stepped up big forcing four turnovers. Kevin Byard led the defense with two interceptions and Xavier Woods, who had five tackles and a forced fumble. Also, the Titans CB Juwan Lloyd upgraded to a Super Star X Factor. His X-Factor ability is Shutdown Defender. Coach E.Warren said Juwan Lloyd has the potential to be the best Corner in the league.
The Tennessee Titans defeated the New England Patriots 38 to 10. Marcus Mariota led the way going 7 for 7 with two touchdowns. Corey Davis had 89 yards with two touchdowns. The Titans' defense stepped up big once again. The veteran Jurrel Casey had two sacks, and Leighton Vander Esch recorded his first interception as a Titan. Coach E.Warren said Vander Esch fits into the defense perfectly. He plays well with Reggie Evans in the 3-4scheme and Plays great with rookie Nick Smith in the nickel scheme. It is great having a player that can play every single down. The Titans travel to Houston to play a tough divisional game.
The Tennessee Titans defeated the Houston Texans. The Titans were led by Derrick Henry. Henry had 16 carries for 135yards and two touchdowns. Marcus Mariota had a solid game going 7/9 for 143yards and a touchdown. The Titans defense played well, holding the Texans to 6 points. Kevin Byard led the defense with two interceptions, and Darin Maze had two sacks. Maze is doing a great job filling the void of the injured Harold Landry. Coach E.Warren has installed a next man up mentality in Tennessee, but he is excited to get Landry back in a few weeks. Maze and Harold can be the next dangerous duo off the edge.
The Tennessee Titans defeated the Miami Dolphins 23 to 17 in a crazy overtime game. Derrick Henry led the way with 22 carries for 140 yards. Marcus Mariota did not play well at all, completing 6 out of 13 passes and throwing two interceptions. Coach E.Warren said he needs a better performance from his franchise quarterback to make Superbowl run. However, The Titans defense played well against a tough Miami offense forcing Dak Prescott to throw four interceptions. Leighton Vander Esch had two of those interceptions, and Kevin Byard had the game-winning interception bringing it back for a touchdown. Coach E.Warren loves the new addition of Vander Esch. He thinks the linebacker can get the team over the hump.
The Tennessee Titans traded for Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch from the Dallas Cowboys. The Titans sent 2nd rounder and future 1st along with linebacker Jayon Brown to the Cowboys.
The Titans defeated the Oakland Raiders 24 to 13. Derrick Henry had a big game rushing for 130 yards with two touchdowns. Marcus Mariota went 8/9 for 116 yards. The Titans defense was lead by Jayon Brown with two sacks. Titans, rookie safety, Nick Smith recorded his first career sack. Titans are playing division rival Jacksonville Jaguars next week. Coach E.Warren is focusing on slowing down the Jags run game.
The Tennessee Titans finished the season 10-6. The Titans were led by Derrick Henry. Henry finished the season with over 1000 yards rushing and making the pro bowl for the second year in a row. The Titans on defense were lead by Kevin Byard and Richard Sherman. Kevin Byard carried the Titans to the AFC Championship game returning 2int for touchdowns. Richard Sherman has a huge leadership role with the young guys on the team. The young CB Lloyd has a wonderful season, as well. He finished second in AFC DROY voting. The Titans look to continue to build their team in the offseason.
The Titans made the playoffs the last week of the season. Coach E.Warren was excited for this team to make a playoff push. The Titans defeated the Miami Dolphins in the wild card. The Titan's defense lead the way they put pressure on the quarterback all game. The following week the Titans defeated the Browns in the divisional round once again the defense dominate. In the AFC championship, the Titans lost to the Chargers. This was the second year the Titans made to the championship but did not bring back a title. However, the Titans have a great year but is pushing actively to make the Super Bowl next year.
The Titans defeated the Baltimore Ravens 41 to 21. The offense looked great lead by Derrick Henry and Alexis Collins. The two running backs ran for a combine 170 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Mariota had another great game going 13/14 for 243 yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown. The defense came up big with 4 sacks and did a great keeping Lamar Jackson in the pocket. The Titans have a bye week next week and Coach E.Warren is looking to rest his players for a late season run.
The Titans defeat their division rival the Jacksonville Jaguars 14 to 20. The Titans defense showed up once again lead by veteran Safety Richard Sherman. Sherman had two interceptions and one of those interceptions were a pick 6. Safety Amani Hooker added another sack to his total. After the game Sherman said this Titans team has a lot of potential and could be a very special team. The Titans workhorse Derrick Henry only ran for 65 yards but had a key 3rd down run to seal the game. The Titans are looking to feed Henry next week against the Baltimore Ravens hoping he could have a breakout performance.
