Introducing - Masamune

Raised in Alabama, lives in Texas, and plays as the Seahawks. Somethings don't have to make sense and that's just the way Sean likes it. 3rd and long? Run it to the right will Russel Willson. Lose your 1st string WR and 1st string RB? Still take those player of the year spots!

Depending on what day you're playing this highly efficent Seahawks team, you'll either face a crushing run game that will eat away at the very soul of your defensive line or a high flying set of recievers who can't seem to be stopped no matter how long the 3rd and long is.

Winning is in this guys blood so don't get mad if he beats you by a 56 yard Field Goal as time expires. When in doubt, it's best to just lay down like our buddy Johnny Hekker. Can't blame him...those Seahawks are scary.

Week 2 in Review: Seahawks vs Panthers

Preseason Week 2 in Review:

We had some intense User matches in week 2 of The Reddit Bowl preseason. The first game we're taking a look at was the offensive shootout between the Carolina Panthers and their NFC Rival the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson and Cam Newton didn't see much of the field last night but Newton was able to get the most out of his 1st quarter play by racking up a touchdown pass while completing 6 of 9 attempts (66%) for 65 yards. Russell Wilson was only able to complete 2 passes on 3 attempts (66%) for 30 yards before he was benched for being "Too Lit".

It was a tough day for the Carolina Running Backs with their projected starter Jordunn (Ghetto First Name) Tillman only gaining 30 yards on 3 attempts. While an average yard per cary of 10 yards might sound pretty good, things weren't as great as the stats show. Had Tillman not busted a large run for 29 yards on one carry, he would have had an abysmal day. The suspected starter for the Seahawks had an even worse opening. P.J (Pajamas) Whiteside failed to get any positive yards finishing the game with -1 yards on 4 attempts. Hopefully the Seattle HalfBack coach can get him turned around before the regular season as he is literally running the wrong way.

With the starters out, the backups stepped in to put on quite a show. Seattles backup QB Trevone Boykin proved to his team that he's a highly capable backup with decent accuracy on short and medium routes. He's got a strong arm but sadly has issues delivering the ball on target deep down the field. By the end of regulation, Boykin had thrown for 318 yards and amassed 3 TD's while completing 61% of his attempts. With all the pressure the Panthers defense was able to put on the young QB, it's amazing what Boykin achieved.

Samuel Robbins, the backup QB for the panthers came out looking a little scattered but showed some real future development promise. Robbins was only able to complete 51% of his passes but still put up 2 touchdowns and a 205 yard game. The real story with this quarterback wasn't what he was doing through the air though. It was his surprisingly quick ground game. Robbins showed us that he's more than capable of Cam Newton like speed which lead him to 65 yards rushing making him the top rusher for the Carolina Panthers this week. I imagine the Colts will be putting a quick linebacker in a QB spy next week to help try and keep this shifty running back in the pocket.

C.J Prosise ran the show for the Seahawks running game putting up 79 yards on just 10 attempts. What made his playing even more impressive is that he showed his ability to run routes and get involved in the passing game. Prosise was able to gain 60 receiving yards on just 3 receptions. These two top RBs in the Seahawks lineups will without a doubt keep teams on their toes throughout the entire season. With Russell Willson at QB, he's got some dangerous options in the backfield to help alleviate tight coverage against his receivers.

On the defensive side of the ball both teams looked to have some strong pass rushing talent. The seahawks were able to sack the Panthers QB 3 times but the Panthers showed that their pass rush is once again a force to be reckoned with finishing with 5 sacks on the day. With the Panthers secondary finally becoming a more mature and experienced group, this pass rush will likely lead to an increased amount of turnovers for them through the year.

This game was a real nail bitter right through the final seconds. The Seahawks were able to sniff out multiple trick plays and bad kicks by the Panthers' Special Teams unit to give Trevone Boykin one final chance to get their kicker in position to put up a final game winning FG from 46 yards to give the Seahawks the win. Final Score 33 - 31.
