GRID is celebrating a fresh new season as some of the leagues brightest stars are looking to making a final splash in the twilight of the cycle. This week we will be exploring some of the biggest Quarterback names out there right now. Some field generals have taken the reigns with of a new team and some others have begun taking a back seat to let the young guns take over. Which quarterback will be remembered as the GOAT when the cycle is over?
Carson Wentz - a name that hasn’t been spoken as much as we would have thought is witnessing the biggest change of scenery out there as he finally has a starting role in the city of Seattle. Wentz, who faced constant criticism in Philadelphia said he was most looking forward to the intensity of the home and the goosebumps he used to get while playing – something he hasn’t felt in a few years. Is this the year he wins another championship - Perhaps an MVP? Only time will tell for this star.
Patrick Chase - One of the younger stars in GRID has left his New Orleans brothers to enter the limelight over in New York. Although his season was hindered by injury this cannon of an arm is looking to throw the ball higher than the Jets fly in New York and bring them a long-needed championship. The improvement from year to year has been spectacular like no other. Not only has his competition percentage increased every year, in interception numbers have dropped every year he’s been in the league. With people talking about the highest upside of player we can all tell that the sky is the limit for this special talent.
Lamar Jackson – Who many claim is the GOAT of GRID is looking to continue his dominance and build his legacy. He is coming of a spectacular season in which he put up video game numbers of 4000 yards and 31 total TDs as he scorched the charts with a 106.2 rating. He also looked effortless on the ground as he pummeled his way to another few hundred yards and 8 more TDs. This is really a jack of all trades who is looking to stack his hands even more with those diamond and jewels from his Superbowl victories.
Kyle “The Cub” Lauletta has no problem forgetting his days with the Giants. Even he didn’t believe he would ever make it to where he is now after taking the reigns from Eli. When asked bout another Superbowl loss he did admit it hurt but he’s happy he got to play in the game as he had been “Dreaming about it since he was in the womb listening to the 49ers smash their way to victory vs the Chargers in the 95’ Superbowl. Since coming to the Bears in 2021 this robot of an arm has yet to throw for under 117.1 rating and has yet to throw for a lesser number of touchdowns than he did as a Giant. “The Bears have focused on putting talent around me and letting me play ‘my’ game rather than forcing me to change my style – it’s really benefitted everyone”
Is this the year Lauletta finally achieves immortality? Will he finally get the one ring to rule them all? Will Wentz come out of the shadows and bring sunshine to the state of Washington? Can Lamar solidify himself as the best Quarterback ever? Maybe Patrick Chase takes that next step and steals victory from the Goliaths of the league. Only one thing is for sure though – there can only be ONE champion. Who will it be?
