Bears - Ryan (Former Bears)
Actual quality writeup:
Oh shit, he’s the Bears again. We’re all fucked.
I know that’s what you’re thinking right now so I will end it here.
Gay writeup:
Ryan was once a Madden juggernaut in M16 - M18, winning many Superbowls. At one point, he was winning them every single year in M17. He dropped off big time in M19. No one is quite sure how but it has been pretty evident from the start that his desire and passion has been depleted (he smoked too much weed and finally lost his virginity). He was still the division leader most seasons, look for that to continue into M20 where he takes over a defense that is stacked on the front 7. If Ryan can get the hang of the offense early on, expect him to be right back on top competing for Superbowl rings.
Packers - Dr McSuck (Formers Eagles)
Dr McSuck pretty much sat out the whole year this year. Long time user given the benefit of the doubt here in 20.
Vikings - Faded ( I think)
Not enough known about Faded for a writeup.
Lions - Mr 300
Not enough known about Mr 300 for a writeup.
NFC South
Saints - Craig (Former Titans)
Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas? That’s an incredible trip to have on day 1 with 3 Superstar X Factor abilities that will be unleashed by the playoffs. Craig proved himself as one of the top users in the league in one of the final M19 seasons by defeating a stacked AFC. I remember playing him once on 5 FPS and having to leave the game, you know what he said to me? “Don’t waste my time”. Craig won’t waste any time taking this Saints team to incredible heights.
Falcons - Jovan (Former Texans/Steelers)
Jovan is a bitch jovan is a bitch jovan is a whole bitch nothing but a bitch fuck jovan fuck the falcons fuck you boy
Calvin Ridley is all you need to make “Hoevan” happy. Jovan is very familiar with Ridley as he traded for him when he was running the Steelers. Ridley was a top receiver, breaking rules multiple times. Jovan isn’t afraid to throw it and will take deep shot after deep shot on you to rack in those yards. Expect the same in M20 with the trio of Matt Ryan, Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones. He is also a former Superbowl champion as the Steelers. He took some time off from the league and later returned as the Texans but didn’t have the same success since returning. If he can control his odd temper and avoid breaking any rules, he can very easily push for a deep playoff run and cap it off with a Superbowl win fairly early.
Buccaneers - JC (former Beats)
Andrew writeup: Let me just start this off by saying I don’t think Jon can survive another mediocre showing in M20. Legitimately I think he’d end it all. But JC is ready to tear down this squad and build up a powerhouse from the ashes. He’s a more than capable user that stacks up with some of the best in the league, so if he can stay patient and focused on building the best squad he can, there’s no doubt we will see him in a super bowl in M20. The Bucs have some decent talent but I doubt we will see any of the current roster featured in his playoff runs. I’m excited to see that happens with the most loyal and lovable chatter in the game.
Ryan writeup: JC is the anchor of the league. I don’t really want this writeup to be about what’s going to happen in game for him next year with this team or spend too much time dwelling on the M19 Beats. While it might look like I’m the dictator shot caller who makes the decisions in the league, we are only still here 5 maddens later because of his work with the league. JC is a major personality of what defines our little madden community. Respectful and kind to everybody in the group, funny, a good friend and a great commish.
Panthers - ThaKillGod (former Chargers)
Honestly not sure if I’ve ever seen this man play in my life, but he joins an absolutely stacked division in M20. The Panthers aren’t a bad team by any means and have plenty of young talent that can be developed including two QBs in Kyle Allen and Will Grier that can be used as trade pieces to fuel the weak spots on the roster. In the end, anything is possible when you have Super Cam at the helm and I look forward to seeing how this division shapes up.
Texans- Cryptic (Former Packers)
From being in a division with the lowly Vikings and an almost non-existent Lions team to joining perennial playoff contenders in the AFC South, Cryptic has a huge adjustment to make. The former Cheese Packer has contended for division titles himself however, and will look forward to taking the field with Deshaun Watson and Nuk. What remains to be seen is whether the RB jump glitch will work in Madden 20.
Colts - Nick (Former Steelers)
Nick is fairly new. Playing only 3 seasons on Madness, he has made the playoffs his first two seasons so far and winning in the first round both times. While being a very good player, he was stuck in an AFC conference where it was very difficult to make it past the second round of the playoffs. He doesn’t consider himself to be very good but he can easily be a 2nd tier player. Giving him Andrew Luck and TY Hilton right off the bat, expect him to make an early push for a deep playoff run at the start of Madden 20. Keep an eye on the potential Colts/Texans rivalry.
Titans - Loe Davit (Former Black Knights)
Loe is a newer user, joining in the final 2 seasons. Another unknown who we hope to learn a lot about when Madden 20 comes rolling through. He is in a tough division with both Colts and Texans being excellent players in their own right. Let's see if Loe can finally help the Titans get over that hump with Mariota still at the helm.
Jaguars - Wesley (Former Raiders)
Wesley is formidable on the field but tailed off at the end as he lost interest (very understandably) in the game. Giving him the extremely talented Jags defense will give him a good chance at contending early. The QB that succeeds Foles will make or break the franchise and the development of the young WR talent will be something to keep an eye on.
AFC East
Patriots - Matt (Former Pats)
Matt is now a two-time Patriots user. He and Kevin were the only two that joined at the beginning of 2019 to join us for 2020, so that makes me pretty happy. Seeing some success as a division winner, he hasn’t done much in the playoffs with this team yet. He is a very talented user on both sides of the ball but things will get a lot tougher with a new division.
Jets - Anthony (Former Bengals)
A quiet killer in Madness during M19, the former Bengals star moves onto an intriguing project. With newly acquired superstar Le’Veon Bell and a promising young QB in Sam Darnold, look for Gang Green to contend for awards in season one. With a good user at the helm, the Patriots could be dethroned after years of dominance.
Dolphins - Kohl Hicks
As a newcomer to the Madness League in M20, Hicks will be put to the test immediately in a pretty challenging division. With one of the weakest rosters in the game, the Fins are in a clear position to rebuild and retool slowly, but there are a few excellent pieces already in place. I’m interested to see how Kohl can match up against some of the best users in the league.
Bills - JRoss
Cue the tears. Jross is as dominant on the field as he is insufferable in the chat. That’s saying a lot! The former Texans star won two Super Bowls in Madden 19 and something tells me more were coming if he didn’t “go on vacation” (he retired). The bills made plenty of solid moves this offseason and despite not having a Superstar X-Factor yet, something tells me Jross could create a few of his own if he’d stop complaining and just play the video game. Looking forward to this redemption arc or another tale of a burnout who couldn’t see past his own ego.
Giants - Arthur (Former Panthers)
Eagles - Duncan (Former Seahawks)
Redskins - Tommy (Former Bucs)
AFC North
Steelers - Lakeem (Former Bills)
Lakeem hasn’t seen much success with the Bills outside of one decent season. He did join Madness late and took over the team with two starting caliber young QBs and lots of overpaid veterans so he had some decisions to make to try to turn the team around. Some say the reason for his lack of success is due to Lakeem being friends with Duncan “La’Baebedik” but we will see when he takes over a pretty stacked Steelers team.
Ravens - Javious (Former Dolphins)
From the Fins to Baltimore, Javious certainly gets a day one upgrade in team quality. Since joining midway through M19, he boasts a 27-10 record which is incredible with the state of that Dolphins roster. He enters a far tougher division this year, but with the Ravens promising young talent we could see an exciting rivalry develop between him and Kevin(who the fuck gave him the Browns). Lamar Jackson should be a perennial MVP candidate under Colson’s leadership.
Bengals - Jake R (Former N/A)
Jake is a newcomer in Madness. He hasn’t played in games but he is part of the sister league, NBL. He is a bit of an unknown so only time will tell how successful he can be.
Browns - H I K E V I N (Former Colts)
Kevin is a two time Superbowl Champion. Coming from one of the hardest divisions we ever had, he is easily a top 2 player in the league. With his former division rival moving onto a new division as well, it will be interesting to see if he will have any competition in the AFC North. The Browns have a stacked roster at nearly every position so don’t be surprised to see him in the Superbowl during the first season… and a familiar face could potentially see him in the AFC Championship Game very often.
The NFC West has always been my favorite division in Madness. Since we began back in 2016 the NFC West has always found a way to sneak into the playoffs with 8 or 9 wins regularly. Brent and Nick have historically tanked the value of this division, almost making it a premium division to be in. Despite typically being an easy division, an NFC West team hasn’t seen playoff success since madden 17.
Seahawks - Andrew P. (Former Vikings)
Andrew joined the league towards the beginning of this madden. Madness is his first ever online CFM and boy has he shown it. From the time he’s joined the league he’s thrown almost 130 interceptions averaging 2 a game. He’s started to figure it out some here recently after his 2-14 season where he garnered the #1 pick. And to a degree, what Andrew has done with the Vikings in madden 19 has impressed me. I can say it’s definitely impressive how he took a mediocre Vikings team and kept them in shadows of the Bears ;).
Andrew takes on the Seahawks in 2020. The NFC West looks like it’ll still be all of our favorite division with the characters in it. Russell Wilson recently became the highest paid player of all time, and they just drafted DJ Metcalf. If done right the Seahawks have the young pieces with plenty of potential to dominate the NFC West for the entire game cycle. It’s up to Andrew to see if history repeats itself and the Seahawks find themselves in the shadows behind another divisional rival.
49ers - Will (Former Cowboys)
A two-time NFC East champion in a tough division in M19, Will finds himself in a far more comfortable environment this time. The NFC West boasts some rather unremarkable users, so we can expect a strong performance right out the gate.
Will was unlucky with his list and the 49ers weren’t one of his top teams, but even though the 49ers selected second overall in 2019 do not be fooled; this roster is ready to compete on day one. An exciting offense with the backfield consisting of Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon will be an interesting storyline to follow. San Francisco hasn’t found much success in awhile but the defense and offense have a lot of potential healthy this year around.
Cardinals - Josh D. (Former Broncos)
I’m sitting at home on a Tuesday night sitting on my couch as I watch some tv and snack on something. I get a GroupMe notification and load up the app, swiftly with my finger opening the group chat. I read “madden hates me,” and I chuckle to myself. I expect to do that a lot this year.
Our favorite mustache finally gets his turn with the Cardinals. Pairing up with the #1 pick, David Johnson, Patrick Peterson, and... well not too much else. Nonetheless, despite a lackluster year with the Broncos in a weak division I’m not too soon to forget his playoff appearances and division titles he would take in prior maddens. Madden changes year to year and this is a new game. The Arizona Cardinals will be interesting to watch for this year.
Rams - BB (Former Rams)
BB takes on the Rams for the 5th consecutive year. Back in madden 16 taking the Rams was a joke, a team meme’d to death by Jeff Fischer and his 7-9 woes. Today the Rams are at the top of the NFC behind Sean McVay and the rams front office are the powerhouse of the conference. The Rams are fun! And they’re in LA! What’s not to like about this team when you have Aaron Donald roaming free on quarterbacks in the pocket and Todd Gurley in the backfield dancing around defenders? Well, BB has been anything but a powerhouse with this team. With three 8-8 seasons under his belt and Jeff Fischer supposedly coaching the team again he’s battles every year with the rest of the NFC West to squeeze out that automatic wildcard loss division title and hasn’t yet turned the team into the Rams LA believed they were.

It’s week 12 and the Chicago Bears are looking like the best team we’ve seen since... ever. The Bears are 10-0 scoring 47.4 points a game. The Bears only need to score 22 points a game in their remaining 6 to break the 2013 Broncos record of 606 points in a season (37.9 ppg). The lead every major offensive category besides passing yards which they are 2nd in. The offense is deadly and explosive led by the three headed monster of Trubisky, Ricard, and Bryan.
Bears:
CONTENDERS: These are the teams I expect to be battling for the top seeds and expect to see at least in the divisional round this year.
The Bears were hungry to get younger after an embarrassing playoff loss following an impressive first season. By week one we had a league high 21 rookies making the final roster. 11 offensive, 9 defensive, and a kicker. Fans were upset after a 14-2 season why the team would blow itself up and thought the team would be tanking a season with so many players that might not be ready to contribute but many of these rookies are proving to be future super stars in the league already.
