... and then he rested. Because he was done.

It took 4 attempts to make 1 field goal. But the San Francisco 49ers finally made a field goal. After missing a 40 yard attempts in both the first and second half of the game, the two teams went to OT. After losing the coin toss the 49ers defence yet again put the team on their back and stopped the Cardinals drive. After getting the ball back, backup Johnny Manziel led the Niners down the field and into field goal range. 

Cardinals Head coach Alex Elkins said "Good game". Jordan Gay (K) then kicked another FG from 40 yards which yet again...went wide right. Head coach Marky Gman was quoted as saying "I lost my shit, i admit it, i brought up the FA list during the game looking for a kicker to replace Jordan"

Drew Brees led the cardinals down the field past the 50, and yet again the 49ers defence stepped up. Aaron Lynch made a good read on the play and picked off Brees to get the ball back with under 2 minutes remaining. 

Manziel led the team back down the field again within' FG range and set up Gay for yet ANOTHER 40 yard field goal. 

He made it. 

The 49ers are now 5-2 on the season leading the NFC West and entering a bye week in which they prepare for the upstart Packers. 

The Chicago Bears are actively shopping veteran players around the league. The following players have been rumoured to be on the block.

It is with great sorrow that the Bears regretfully announce the dissapearance of star rookie LB Sean Fleming. During a flight to Bermuda to celebrate his defensive rookie of the year award, his plane suddenly lost altitude and crashed into the ocean.

 He will be missed.  RIP Sean.
