The Atlanta Falcons have finally snapped their losing streak which was up to 5 games heading into week 10. The Falcons were led by RB Tevin Coleman who rushed for 134 yards and 2 scores in Sunday's , 20-10 win. Defensively, the Dirty Birds were led by second year standout Vic Beasley who recorded his league leading 9th and 10th sacks of the year.
ATL started the year off 3-0, but things changed quickly after the dreaded week 4 bye week. The 5 game losing streak started in Seattle where, week 5 interim head coach C. Peyew and the Seahawks absolutely dominated the Falcons. From then on, it seemed like nothing could go right for Manziel and the birds, but they seemed to have started to click at the right time heading into the last 7 weeks of the season. We caught up with Mr Football himself to hear his thoughts on the season so far and the outlook going forward.
"We've had our ups and downs," Manziel said "but this last win was special. Those guys swept us last year, so we knew we were going to have to fight. Any time Cole breaks tackles like he was on Sunday, we're going to have a chance to win. And as far as the future, I think we keep forgetting that this team was built on youth. We're young on O, young on D and we're still figuring some stuff out. The main thing to note is, we compete. And we're going to continue to compete moving forward."
We didnt get much from Johnny this week, but he did as us to mention that any ladies ages 21+, single or not that are willing to leave all electronics at the door are welcome to join the former Heisman champ at the Omni Braves Stadium penthouse at 10:00 tonight.
Until next time,
