Bengals Season 6 outlook

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t been given any respect from the league In the first couple of seasons. They’re we’re listed as a team who would be lucky to make the playoffs, with no chance to even make a super bowl. As Season 5 wound down, the Bengals finished with a top 2 defense, and finished with a 12-4 record. As the majority of the league haters said the bengals were an easy team to eliminate, they pulled of the unthinkable. The Bengals beat the Patriots I’m the wild card round, and beat the Colts and the Titans in games that apparently “they should not have won.” These victories had the Bengals representing the AFC in the Super Bowl, unfortunately losing to the underfeated Packers

Season 5 was a fantastic run, and surprised a lot of peopl. However, in season 6 is now all about gaining respect. The dumb ass analysts say the Bengals will finish 8-8, and miss playoffs again. This year though, the Bengals are here to prove everyone wrong and make a trip back to the post season.

Bengals Starting out strong half way through the season

The Cincinnati Bengals last year couldn’t close out games effectively and finish with many close loses, and also with 2 ties in the 2019 season. This year, Coach Meints wanted to take the opportunity to reload with serious talent, with the goal compete this season and making teams take them as a serious opponent to game plan against. This season, so far, has been going as planned.

In the 2020 season, The Bengals are currently sitting at a 6-2 record, and ahead of schedule in their rebuild. The just finished out a week 9 victory, over the 5-2 Washington Redskins with a score of 17-14. They have had 1 major hiccup this season in a 3 point loss to the Jets, which shouldn’t be taken for granted. Their other loss came in a blowout that the head coach wasn’t even there to help win (Force Loss) to the defending Super Bowl Champs.

The Bengals are lead by a rookie Quarterback and Running black, who are looking to create opportunities to score and create plays. But the heart and soul of this team is the defense, who is lead by Carl lawson, and William Jackson. Carl Lawson has been an absolute force this season, currently top 5 in the league in sacks at 13. William Jackson has stepped up his game, becoming a true #1 corner in their system, following the opponents best receiver. The Bengals defense at the half way point in currently top 5 in Total Defense, Passing Yards Allowed per game, and Russhing Yards Allowed per game.

The Bengals are looking to carry that confidence and momentum, through the 2020 season, and hopefully into the playoffs.
