Another day, Another Dollar
Another off season, another wild card loss. Had some good bright spots on that 9-7 season and hoping to build off of that. I mean my offensive line cant get any worse right? As I had predicted my defense pretty much carried me to the playoffs. Every win included a winning turnover ratio and ball control. While every loss was the opposite. If i could be more dominate on offense i believe my defense would really shine and end up with bigger margins of victory. However things can always look good on paper going in but what pans out can be much different, so lets take a look at some
The Bad
-Failed hard getting the ball to my best wideout, 38 catches for 609 yards and 3 TDs is not going to cut it.
-Kendrick was only sacked 16 times but throw out of sacks were very high and contributed 23 INT
-Even with most of the committee getting atleast 4 YPC we still had trouble making holes
-Chase Young was hurt early for 6 weeks and the FO did not earn enough AGS bucks to reroll his ability
-I have two SS players who are old and close to 85
-Lots of close games that were won or lost by 3 points or less
-Lost my slot DB,Ebukam, Payne, Foster and some veteran OL
-Luxury Tax stings
-Lost to and then watched Gorla win a bunch of post season games
-The NFCE sent 3 teams to the playoffs and smithy was only a few games from that last spot
-Gom prob said it was "My Year"
-Every single one of my draft board OL were gone by round 2, i hate yall
Short drives and a lackluster offense really hampered my season, if i started to turn the ball over it was going to be tough to win. Ive got to be able to score against the big boys when it matters. Hard work and dedication is going to be the key to turning the offense around.
The Good
-The Kendrick to N'joku connection was strong with 1190 yards and 9 TDs which earned N'Joku X-Factor
-Kendrick statistically had a similar year to last with respectable completion and yardage. The big difference was 7 less TDs
-There were plenty of sacks, pressures and picks
-1st Rounder Jayvon Hilliard won ROTY with 10 picks and a FF/sack. Proving without a doubt hes 10x better than meat turds or whatever his name is in new york.
-Khalil Mack was worth every penny with a league high 13 sacks
-Kendrick only threw 1 pick in the playoffs this time
-Acquired a 6'2 95 speed DB from Pax so you know hes pure velveeta
-Acquired Hunter Henry who is now technically my best OL
-Signed Eckler in FA to add a little zip to the committee
-Ended up with 5 super cheap star rookies which is a plus under this Canadian tax law
-Regression wasn't as bad as it could of been for my secondary
-I'm as excited as ever for this season, I know I can win some games but im a little more focused this time around
-I was 9th in points allowed last season and if i can stay ahead of the plays that break the AI i believe i bring that down even more!
Adding Henry doesn't just give me a solid blocking TE but another option inside, something i didn't really have when Terry is blanketed and the user following N'Joku. My 95 speed #2 WR just doesn't have the goods. Now he may be more valuable than before! Its great to have some hopeful optimism but its time to get to work.
The Plan
-Make Terry Scary Again and be more efficient in the passing game
-Get back to the playoffs and be ready to compete on offense
-Get Seymour to secretly play my playoff games
