AGS 2021 Draft Board

Here you go!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fGa3jjJDS371YBI3YRjCz2jKEPV0yK-LaoZP56CJjoU/edit?usp=sharing

This Google Sheets file is the AGS Madden Scoutable Player Draft Board.  It contains all the measurable player data such as position, name, height, age, etc.  The board is broken down into 2 categories (offense, defense) and multiple sub-categories(interior OL, Tackles, etc.).  Your best option to utilize it is to think in terms of position interchangeability. For example LT can be moved to RT, RE can be moved to LE. Therefore those kinds of positions have been lumped into the same sub-category.  Defensively the positions are positioned in terms of body type. Interior defensive lineman (DT, DE 270+ lbs) are grouped together and edge rushers, (DE 269>, rushing LBs) are grouped separately, to separate the 3-4 and 4-3 defensive styles.

There are 3 sheets, Measurables, Draft Board, and Draft Board(list).  You will have to manually fill out your Draft Board and List as it will be unique to you.

#Dev note: You can manually input combine stats into their appropriate cells.  I have placed calculations and colored formatting to show you which combine stats show great, average, and poor results(shown as green, white, red).

*You will need to save as, or make a copy for yourself so you can edit yourself and keep your scouting private.

Will the Tandem Translate?

By Steven Jones | @SteviejOnesie

10/21/18

The tandem of Tanner Wragge and Fernando Black has had NFL scouts staying up late to study Sooners’ game film.  It has truly been a dream Oklahoma fans have been hoping would pan out since the season started with such speculation about which position would shine the most.  Both Wragge and Black are expected to declare for the NFL Draft at the end of the season so this should be a season for Oklahoma to remember.

From a numbers standpoint, both players have individually brought a spark and collectively, a stick of dynamite to the team.  Wragge has thrown 1,996 yards through 7 games. In fact, when Oklahoma rolled over Florida Atlantic, 63-14, Wragge posted over 350 yards through the air and threw for 5 TD.  Black completed the one-two punch with 68 yards on the ground and 111 receiving yards. What was most notable about Black’s performance was his yards after catch of 92. Lincoln Riley has gushed about Black’s 6’0” frame and quickness and even lined him up at WR for 14 snaps.  TE Steven Mobley saw limited productivity, hauling in 2 catches on 3 targets for 12 yards. He did however deliver a crucial block on a screen pass that enabled a 38 TD reception by Black.

Black has seen fewer carries than Trey Sermon but has solidified his position as the 3rd down back with his ability to pick up blitzes and having the softest hands a 6’0 203lb back could ever have.  The one drawback Wragge has shown has been his quickness to check down on the pass but with Black’s quick moves and feet those check down passes have turned into 10+ yard gains easily. The best friends and roommates have often talked about playing together in the NFL and it looks like NFL scouts are paying attention.  While it’s still too early to speculate their draft positions, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Wragge going in the 1st round and Black following him by the 3rd. It would be even less surprising to see them being taken by the same team.

Madden CoachGlass

Madden CoachGlass

Hello members the following is an introduction to CoachGlass, the companion app that tracks coaching tendencies during your Madden games.  If you're looking to take your Madden game to the next level this could be the help you need!  This app will show you information you can use to choose your play calls based on the situation and personnel groupings on the field.  Once you've learned how to interpret the data you should find it very useful to use during your games.

?Connecting to the App

?The app is under the Xbox app and can be access on both IOS and Android devices.  I have found the data more easy to read on an iPad.

1. Start Madden on your Xbox

2. Connect your IOS/Android device to the network your Xbox is attached to

3.  Open the Xbox app and select the "Connections" button(looks like a console with wifi signals over it) on the left side of the app

4. Connect to your Xbox and select the picture of Madden 18 that is near the top of the screen

5. Press the "Companion" button

Once your game starts you will see the screen change to display the score, down, yardage, and playclock.

?Displayed Information

The following information is displayed under different situations(ex. whether on offense or defense and whether a play has been selected or not).

-Overall Offensive Tendencies(percentage of run/pass/option plays called and a breakdown of offensive yardage utilization.

-Overall Defensive Tendencies(percentage of man/zone/blitz plays called)

-Offensive Personnel Grouping(percentage of usage throughout the game as well as your success with that particular grouping)

-Offensive Tendencies(percentage of run/pass/option plays called under the specific personnel grouping) and/or (percentage of run/pass/option plays called for the current down and yardage)

-Defensive Tendencies(percentage of man/zone/blitz plays called under the specific personnel grouping) and/or (percentage of man/zone/blitz plays called for the current down and yardage)

-Go To %(the percentage of utilization of a player in game)

-Play History(a listing of the plays run by both offense and defense starting with most recent first)

-Suggestions(the listing of Madden's Suggestions that you could select your play from if you want)

?Understanding the Data

It took me a while, and I am still getting used to all the data the app provides as you have to read, digest, and make a decision on multiple points of data in mere seconds, but I have found it to be very useful in specific game situations.

-Every down(to check my and my opponent's tendencies for the specific down and yardage situation)

-Red Zone(especially on offense to check the defensive tendencies and play call history on that specific drive)

-Late game situation(checking my Offensive Personnel Grouping tendencies to see which groupings have been most effective against the defense)

-Beginning of the 2nd half(to check my and my opponent's tendencies to make sure I am not becoming predictable and to find spots where my opponent has become predictable

Hopefully the app will help you feel more in control of the game and have a more enjoyable experience!
