AFC Playoff race with 3 game remaining

Headed into week 15 the AFC playoff race is tighter then its ever been. The Chiefs and Broncos still need to play in week 14 which is a battle for the #1 seed and the top wild card spot. Both these teams are pretty much locked into the playoffs unless one was to lose 4 straight to end the season. No one see's this happening so thats 2 of the 6 teams headed to the playoffs. The other 4 and there seeding is anyone's guess. Each division has 3 teams with in 1 game of the division leader, (Steelers 1.5 games back because of a tie) as well as the Chargers for a total of 10 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots.

AFC East

  • I only see 1 team making the playoffs from this division. With the games left for all 3 teams to play, its gonna be really tough for someone to win out and go 10-6.

New England has been in control of this division for most of the season but with 3 games left sit at 7-6 tied atop of division with the Jets. Thanks to a 5-1 division record the Pats have the tiebreaker over the Jets. There 3 remaining games are vs the Jags, Lions, and Vikings. Two of these teams fighting for a playoff spot so they will have there hands full.

New York Jets also sit at 7-6 but will need to finish with a better record then the Patriots if they want to win the division title. There remaining games are vs the Colts, Texans, and Bills. There week 15 matchup vs the Colts will be huge for them and with a lose and Patriots win, there playoff chances could be all but over.

Miami Dolphins sit 1 game back at 6-7. They dont own any tiebreakers so they gonna need to win out and get alot of help to make the playoffs. There remaining games are vs the Broncos, Bills, and Bears so there path there isnt easy at all and they are gonna need to win all 3.

AFC North

  • Cincinnati cant afford to lose to the Chargers week 16 or they could end up as the loser of many tiebreakers. The Browns should win out and finish 10-6 and either win the North or lock up the final Wildcard spot. If the Browns lose I can see the Steelers sliding into the 6th seed at 9-6-1 unless the Chargers win out.

Cincinnati sits as the #2 seed at 8-5 but with two losses to the Browns, they need to win the division out right or risk being the odd man out. They get the Raiders, Chargers, and Falcons in that order. With the Chargers fighting for a wildcard spot that week 16 match up will be huge for both teams. The winner might just be the final wild card team in the playoffs.

Cleveland sits a game behind at 7-6 but will own the tiebreaker over Cincinnati thanks to 2 wins over them. The Browns have the easiest path to the playoffs as there 3 remaining opponents are all under .500 Buccaneers, Falcons, and Ravens.

Pittsburgh 6-6-1 has a slim chance to make the playoffs this year thanks to a tie game vs the Broncos, but anything is possible. They finish the season with games vs the Ravens, Saints, and Texans in that order. If they find a way to win out and go 9-6-1 i think they could be the final wildcard team but everyone would need to be 9-7 for that to happen. They need alot of help but with alot of playoff teams playing each other that is possible.

AFC South

  • The AFC South teams play each other so i really only see one of these teams making the playoffs as the division winner. It might just come down to who wins the week 17 match up between the Colts and Titans.

Tennessee sits tied with the Colts at 7-6 with a game left vs the Colts in week 17. The entire division could come down to this game but before they get there they have the Eagles and Raiders to play first. The Titans cant afford to lose because if they have the same record as the Jaguars they will be the odd team out.

Indianapolis sits at 7-6 as well. There 3 games left vs the Jets, Jaguars, and Titans make there final games one of the toughest schedules in the AFC to end the season. They will have to win 2 of 3 and one of them will need to be vs the Titans if they want to win this division.

Jacksonville is a game back at 6-7 and there chances of making the playoffs are slim but thanks to 2 early season wins vs the Titans they still have a chance. They will for sure need to win out and games vs the Patriots, Colts, and Eagles will really test this team.

AFC West

  • The top 2 teams are locked in but will they send a 3rd? The Chargers need to win out which is no easy feat, but if they can i see them as the 6th seed.

Like i said at the top of the Blog the Chiefs and Broncos are pretty much locked into the playoffs all thats left to figure out is who will be the division winner and who will be the top wildcard team.

The San Diego Chargers however have a battle on there hands for the final wild card spot. They sit at 7-6 just like everyone else and there 3 final games vs the Texans, Bengals, and 49ers make there road there very tough. There week 16 game could be the most important game of the year for them and is a must win to get into the playoffs.

All this being said the battle to the end is going to come down to the final week of the season for sure. 4 of these 10 teams are going to make the playoffs and continue the battle all the way to the Superbowl. Who knows who will represent the AFC but whoever it is. They will have earned the right to be there.

Who are These Tennessee Titans?

Who are these Tennessee Titans?

Only a few months ago this team was in shambles. The entire coaching staff was fired and the owner’s contract was terminated by the league. The owner was given the chance to decide who to sell his team to but was told he could no longer remain an owner in the MBL. After a few phone calls were made a person came forward to take over the team. His name was J Money but before he signed the contract to own the Titans, he legally changed his name to Taut KILLA.

When asked why he did this he said "Taut and I have a rivalry that dates back many years. This one time he had me wait around for a half hour during the middle of a game because he had to get his hair cut.  Now I have a chance to play him twice a year in MBL? I jumped at this chance to take down Taut and make sure those Jaguars never win a division title much less make the playoffs."

After taking over the team and hiring a coaching staff, they were all left to fill a 53 man roster that currently only had 27 players under contract. With 8 draft picks they figured on signing 18-20 FA but with so little in funds they were unsure how that would happen. The staff decided to go after veteran players that were cast out by their previous teams. They signed someone at the main positions, a guy that might not start but can help lead a young group of players and teach them how to do things the right way. QB Drew Brees, Wr Andre Johnson and CB Darrelle Revis would be the veteran leaders of this squad but the big signings in FA were the signing of QB Teddy Bridgewater and QB Whit Brewster. Will Teddy be the leader of this offense come week 1 or maybe Whit Brewster who played 2 years in San Diego will get another chance to be the starting QB? Only time will tell with this battle.

Going into the draft this year the Titans had the #2 overall pick but since they signed 2 QB's to battle it out they didn’t feel the need to draft a QB. Instead they went after a sure hands WR, and the #1 guy on there entire board? WR Kenbrell Means. This guy was projected by some to be a mid-5th round pick because he wasn’t the fastest player running a 4.59 40 yard dash time. He also isn’t the most crisp route runner but the Titans saw stardom in this guys future. Since he was projected to fall so far the Titans hoped they could snag him with the 34 pick in the draft. Feeling this way they traded the #2 pick to Seattle getting there 1st and 2nd round picks as well as there 1st round pick next season. Seattle picked 26th but instead of selecting him there, they decided to trade with the Browns and land themselves another young CB. This meant there first pick in the draft would be at #34 and with that pick they selected the top player on there draft board in Kenbrell Means.

The owner had this to say after the selection. "Kenbrell isnt the fastest guy but he has hands like I haven’t seen before in a WR, dude drops nothing. With us bringing in Andre I believe he can teach this kid how to run the crispest routes and when that happens I believe Kenbrell will be a superstar."

After this pick the Titans spent the rest of the draft looking for solid back up players that could also make an impact on special teams. Soon we will know if that paid off but one thing is for sure. Kenbrell means is going to make an impact in this league. Who knows how good he can really be.

The Titans now have 53 men on this roster and alot of new faces starting at most positions. Can they win more then 2 games this season with all the changes or will it be another year at the bottom of the league? Things start off with a bang as the Titans will take on the Jaguars come week 1. The only question left remaining is who is gonna start the game at QB?

AFC Wildcard race gets tight with 4 games remaining.

With four games remaining in the currently TS4L season, the two wildcard spots look to be up for grabs between four teams. The Denver Broncos (7-5), Dublin Celtic Tigers (7-5), Kansas City Chiefs (6-6), and the Miami Dolphins (6-6). One team from the AFC South and the Pittsburgh Steelers are still mathematically alive but they are both a very long shot to steal one of these two wildcard spots.

Currently the odds on favorites to make the playoffs are the Broncos and the Chiefs but anything is possible over the final 4 games. Currently the Broncos are 1-0 vs the Chiefs, the Chiefs are 1-0 vs the Tigers, and the Tigers are 1-0 vs the Dolphins. But that isnt the final chapter between these 4 teams and wait til you see who all they get to play to end the season.

Everything kicks off with the beginning of week 14. The Broncos get to travel out of the country all the way to Dublin to take on the Tigers. Then we have the Dolphins taking on the Redskins who are 8-4 and tied for first place in the NFC East. Then on top of all this, the Cheifs have the toughest game of them all as they travel to New England to take on the 10-2 Patriots.

Week 15 wont be as crazy for these 4 teams but Miami does have to travel to Dublin for there rematch. The Cheifs take on the Colts while the Broncos get the Bengals.

Week 16 continues the match ups of 2 of these 4 teams as the Broncos travel to Kansas City for there 2nd match up of the season with the Chiefs. The Dolphins get and easier match up as they take on the Colts while the Tigers welcome the AFC East leading Patriots to Dublin.

Who knows what the records will look like going into week 17, 7-8? 10-5? only time will tell, but the week 17 match ups are sure to keep people interested in this playoff race. We begin with the fourth straight battle of these 4 teams as the Dolphins travel to Kansas City to battle the Chiefs. The Broncos must travel to Detroit to take on the NFC North leading Lions and the Tigers get to travel to Mexico to face the Diablos. There is an interesting story between the owners of the Tigers and Diablos, should be fun to watch them battle again.

Even though we only talked about these 4 teams its still possible that someone slips in from the AFC South. The Dreadnoughts are 5-6 pending the outcome of there match up with the Colts (4-7). After that they take on in this order, the Ravens (2-10), the Steelers (4-7),  the Jaguars (2-9) and the Bengals (3-8). The Dreadnoughts stand a very good chance at winning out and finishing the season 10-6. If that is the case that could leave the Texans to battle the 4 teams above teams for a wildcard spot. There remaining 4 games include, Colts (4-7), Jags (2-9), Buccs(7-5), Jags, (2-9). They as well could end up 10-6 and with the opponents the 4 other teams have to play it may not be such a long shot for 1 of these 2 teams to steal a wildcard spot.

Only time will tell who make it into the playoffs but whoever those two teams are, they will have to fight every single week for there playoff lives.

Can the Buffalo Bills Circle the Wagons One Last Time?

This is the final season for the Buffalo Bills. They are moving to Dublin and will become the Dublin Celtic Tigers. Through 15 weeks this Buffalo team has 9 wins, the most they have had since they went 11-5 in 1999 only to lose to the Tennessee Titans in the Music City Miracle game. That was the last time the Buffalo Bills would make the playoffs.

Here in there final season with 2 games remaining they still stand a chance. Thanks to a week 9 win over Kansas City the Bills own the tiebreaker and can steal the final wildcard spot if both teams finish with the same record. Lead by linebackers Daniel Adongo and Kiko Alonso who have 13 of the teams 30 Interceptions the Bills have gone 8-2 over there last 10 to even stand a chance at the final Wildcard spot.

So two games remain, both must win games.

Week 16 Miami travels to Buffalo for the final game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the last time these teams met Miami got the victory 34-27. If the Bills can get past the Dolphins no matter the outcome of the Colts at Chiefs the final Spot in the playoffs will come down to Week 17.

Week 17 Buffalo travels to New England to take on the AFC East Divsion Champions. New England is perfect in the Division so far this year starting off the season week one with a 31-24 victory over Buffalo. For the Bills to stand any chance at making the playoffs they need to win both of these final two games to finish the season 11-5. If they are able to do that the season will come down to the Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers.

By Saturday we will have our answer. Two wins from the Chiefs and they are the 6th and final team in the post season. Two wins from the Bills and not from the Chiefs and the Bills slide into the 6th and final spot.

Two games remain, the final two games of the Buffalo Bills?

Adongo a name the Browns won't ever forget

Who is Daniel Adongo? He was a Rugby player until 2013, now he is the starting ROLB for the Buffalo Bills. He had been on special teams for the first 4 weeks of the season but before the week 5 game the Bills traded away there starting LB and it was time for Adongo to step up and show what he has to offer. His first opponent would be the Cleveland Browns a 4-0 team that is expected to compete for the superbowl this season.

Before the game began Adongo asked to remain on special teams as well as starting at LB and boy did that pay off. On the opening kickoff Adongo would get his first tackle of the game causing a fumble recovered by the Bills. Over the next four quarters Adongo would play like he has played football his entire life. He finished the game with 5 Tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 2 interceptions one of which he returned for a touchdown.

The rest of the bills defense also played lights out as they recored 8 turnovers however there was one big negative for them. Jarius Byrd there Free Safety broke his collarbone and will be out for 7 weeks. That means someone else needs to setp up, who knows maybe the Bills have a hidden gem at safety like they found in Adongo at LB.

Dallas sweeps season series vs Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Texas to take on the Cowboys in there second match up of the year. Earlier in the season Dallas scored a touchdown with no time left on the clock to win the first battle of the year.

In the rematch the Cowboys defense would attempt to step up and stop the leagues leading rusher in LeSean McCoy. That didnt work as he carried the ball 12 times for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. But drops from the Eagles WRs and 2 INTS from QB Kody Shope helped to keep the momentium in the favor of the Cowboys. Sean Lee would get his 5th INT of the year and Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray would run 24 times for 168 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Dez Bryant would add 5 catches for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns as the eagles focused on shutting down 2nd year WR Alex Grayson.

Dallas gets the win 42-24, the win locks up the tiebreaker for the Cowboys in the battle for the NFC East, as Philly is now only 1 game ahead in the division.

side note - SS Ed Reed signed a 3 year extention. Will he play til he is 40??????? only time will tell.

Dallas gets a huge OT win over the Division leading Eagles

The 5-4 Dallas Cowboys traveled to Philadelphia to take on the 7-2 Eagles. This was a back and forth game the whole way with no one pulling away. With less then a minute left in the game the Eagles would drive down the field and score a touchdown to take the lead 31-28. Dallas had 0 timeouts and less then 30 seconds to get into field goal range. The Eagles did a squib kick that was fielded by an up man and returned to the Dallas 40 yard line. One pass later with the Cowboys in range they called on Pro-Bowler Amos McCoy to kick the game tieing field goal. The sure thing kicker knocked the kick straight through to send the game into overtime.

Dallas would win the toss but on second down they would be sacked. This would end up forcing the Cowboys to punt to the Eagles. Philly would get the ball on there own 20 to start there drive and 3 plays later on 3rd Down. QB Kody Shope would throw a short pass to Shady McCoy, only thing is it was caught by McCoy and Dallas CB Sterling Moore. Things were unsure at the point of the catch as the 2 players would wrestle each other as they fell to the ground. Right before getting to the ground Moore would come away with the ball and the game winning INT. all that was left was for Amos to kick another FG to end the game. it was straight and true. Dallas wins 34-31 in OT

Side note - Amos McCoy is 48 for 51 for Field Goals in his Career only missing 3 60+ yard attempts.

BREAKING NEWS from Cowboys Camp

This just in from the Dallas Cowboys - WR Dez Bryant has signed a 6 year deal worth $69 Million.

After turning down a 6 year 81 mil contract last season Dallas had to franchise there star WR to keep him on the team. Hours after doing so the Cowboys staff would learn there franchise QB would be retiring after just 2 seasons into his contact. This left them scrambing and left Dez wonding what the team would do next. They spoke with him many times about the QB situation but Dez was unsure about 2nd year player Larry Pettway. He would start the first 4 games for the Cowboys going 2-2 but throwing 9 INTS in those games. During the bye week Dez and fellow Rookie WR Alex Grayson traveled to Grayson's home town in Cleveland Ohio. There they ran into Browns QB Zac Dysert, after talking with him Dez and Alex knew he was the man for the job in Dallas. The WR's returned back to Dallas and spoke with the Owner of the Cowboys. He contacted the Browns, and after a few days of talking the Browns agreed to trade Dysert to the Cowboys for 2 draft picks.

After the Cowboys got the new QB and gave him a week of practice he was then starting against the NY Giants. Dysert would get his first win as a Dallas Cowboy vs those Giants and helped improve the team to 4-2. After this win Dez met with the Cowboys owner ship. He expressed reget not resigning with the organization last year and agreed to be paid less then the contact he was offered last season.

The cowboys owner had this to say. "Dez has really stepped up for our team since the retirement of Tony Romo. He has become the outright leader of this team and wants nothing more then to win a superbowl. Him signing this new contact shows how much of a team player he has become and we look forward to continue building our team around Dez and Dysert."

BREAKING NEWS - Tony Romo calls it a career for the Dallas Cowboys

Just hours after the Dallas Cowboys put the franchise tag on all-pro WR Dez Bryant, Tony Romo met with the coaches of the Dallas Cowboys. Just 2 years into his 6 year 108 Million dollar contact Tony Romo informed the Dallas staff that he would be retiring from the NFL at the age of 35 to be a father and raise his son Hawkins Romo.

The entire coaching staff was caught off guard by this decision and are left scrambling before the draft. The only QB now on the roster is Larry Pettway a rookie this past season from Oklahoma St. Do we go with him or look else where like free agency or the draft. Only time will tell as the Cowboys are left scratching there head.

In other new ROLB Bruce Carter decided not to resign with Dallas and will now test free agency.

Dallas falls into the playoffs but stays alive thanks to FS J.J. Wilcox

The Dallas Cowboys fell into the playoffs this season thanks to a down year from the NFC East. The 7-9 Cowboys got into the playoffs because of there division which ment they would get a home game vs the Carolina Panthers who had just recently beat them 38-10. Dallas would win the toss and elect to kickoff which may have been a bad move at Ted Ginn Jr. would return the kickoff 105 yards for the touchdown. Dallas would get the ball and go straight down the field only to throw an interception on the 5 yard line to DRC for the 95 yard touchdown. 3 mintues into the game and Dallas is down 14-0 and Cam Newton hasnt even been on the field. Dallas would scrath and claw there way back to 14-14 but the Panthers answered back right away 21-14 at half.

Dallas would tie the game on there opening drive and on the ensuing kickoff Ted Ginn Jr. would return another kick over 100 yards to the house, however this kick was called back for clipping. That would bother Cam as he drove straight down the field for another Touchdown. Dallas would again drive down the field but inside the 10 yard line Tony Romo would throw his 3 interception of the game. The Panthers would burn some clock but a great pass knock down by Sean Lee forced them to punt.

Down 21-28 with less then 3 minutes to go. Tony Romo would get 1 last chance to tie the game. He would find a way to get some yards and connected with Terrance Williams for a 22 yard touchdown pass with 43 seconds left in the game. The Panthers would begin there drive from the 21 yard line thanks to excellent coverage from the Dallas kickoff team. The Panthers had 2 timeouts to work with and started to pick up chunks. With 18 seconds remaining in the game the Panthers completed a pass over the middle at the Dallas 47 yardline. They had 1 timeout remaining so instead of using it they went hurry up with the clocking running under 10 seconds they hiked the ball. Cam Newton threw a deep post to Steve Smith over the middle, he would catch the ball with 5 seconds remaining only to be blown up by Dallas FS J.J. Wilcox. Dallas would recover the fumble and this game would go to overtime.

Dallas would win the toss again this time electing to recieve. After another clipping penatly on the kickoff Dallas would have to travel 88 yard for the game winning touchdown. They did just that capped off by an 11 yard Touchdown run by Demarco Murray, his 3 rushing touchdown of the game.

Dallas now goes on the road for the Division round of the playoffs to play either the Saint Louis Rams or the Minnesota Vikings.

Murray and Morris both score 3 Touchdowns as Dallas wins a close one 38-35

The Cowboys got there second win of the season but it didnt come very easy. It all began with the return of Demarco Murray, and on his very first carry of the game he went 85 yards to the house. The rest of the game was a little slower for him but he finished the day with 17 carries for 153 yards and 2 Touchdowns on the ground, and caught 2 passes for 6 yards and a Touchdown.

With Dallas leading 28-10 at the half the team really seamed to fall asleep on Washingtons option offense. It looked like they were expecting RG3 to run the ball and would be ready for him but almost everytime the ball was given to Alfred Morris, he would finish the day with 13 Carries for 127 yards and a Touchdown on the ground as well as 5 Catches for 51 yards and 2 Touchdowns in the air.

Two bad passes later by Romo and this game was tied 28-28. Romo would gather the troops after the tieing touchdown and whatever he said to them it worked. They drove straight down the field hitting Dez Bryant and a nice check down to Murray inside the 5 yard line scored the Touchdown to take the lead. Washington would get the ball with time remaining but a costly interception by Rookie B.W. Webb would give Dallas the ball and a chance to burn time off the clock and make it a two possession game. Washington would add a late touchdown to make it 38-35 but Miles Austin recoved the onside kick and a Demarco Murray first down sealed the game.

Dallas improves to 2-4 while Washington drops to 3-2. This was a huge win for the Cowboys and they need to continue this style of play in there next match up when they travel to the city of brotherly love to take on there Division Rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cowboys lose 4th game of the season, all by 7 or less points. But get back Murray for week 6

The Dallas Cowboys have dropped to 1-4 on the season with an OT loss to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos 37-31.

The Cowboys had the ball for 16 minutes and got 21 first downs in the game but that still wasnt enough to pull this one out. Denvers 4 receptions of 40+ yards and 2 Kick Returns of 50+ one of which went to the house kept Dallas on the ropes all game long. Even with all that and Dallas down 7, Tony Romo lead the troops 76 yards in 56 seconds with 1 TO to tie the game on Dez Bryant's 2nd Touchdown of the game. The tie would be short lived however as Denver scored a TD on there first offensive play of overtime.

The Cowboys need to put this game and there first five behind them as soon as possible because they have two very important games coming up back to back Vs Washington and At Philadelphia. Winning both of them will put Dallas right back in the hunt for the NFC East, losing both and it maybe a long end to the season for Dallas. But things maybe looking up for them as RB Demarco Murray returns from a Ruptured Disk that occured in week 3 vs the Rams.

a bright note for the team.

MLB Sean Lee signed a 4 year deal worth 14 million dollars.
