BML Rules

Be advised that everything listed below is MANDATORY. Violation of any of these rules can and will result in removal from the league.

Scheduling Easiest Method of contact is Yahoo Instant Messenger (YIM), and the scheduling Thread in the Forums for scheduling league games.text can be used as well, but posting in forms is official.YOU are responseable to contact and schedule with your opponent.clk contact info on the bml site to get the owner info, i will help you schedule if i must, but i dont always have time to schedule games for people.make sure you use forums,text numbers,yahoo id to contact your opponent. dont just text him and wait 3 days, if you send out mesages to all the avail forms of contact info, and you have not heard from your opponent in 24 hours let me know pls.ITS MANDATORY for evry owner to check their yahoo messenger and game scheduling in forums on their own, but again dont just post in forums only and wait 3 days, use all the contact info as well./ IF YOU PLAY THE CPU WITHOUT ASKING THE COMMISH YOU WILL BE REMOVED!

League Advancement:

The league will advance evey weds night at 12amest and sat night at 12amest. We will advance early if all games have been played. DONT wait intil the last min. to schedule and play your game, last time to start a game on advance day is 1030pmest. there will be times you may be asked to play the cpu, due to people going out of town or teams comming open at the last min. just play the cpu asap. if i ask you to ty. asking for sims all the time because you cant beat the cpu, or you dont want to play the cpu, will get you removed. asking for a sim without a good reason is not fair to the other owners who play the cpu. i know there will be sims at times,with that said, dont take advantage just to get out of playing! on advance day if you dont respond to me or ur opponent by 4pmest on wedsdays and saturdays(advance days). i will set you to auto so ur opponent can play the cpu, this keeps happening without comunication from you i will be forced to remove you. we must keep the league moving!!! if you miss 2 or 3 games you can be removed if you dont have a good reason. again disconnects will happen, but if you have this issue 2 or 3 times i will have to remove you depending on ur reasons. i will not allow people to get over by asking for sims and not playing their games without a good reason. if you have connection issues and cant fix them you will be removed. remember 2 or 3 times if you cant or dont play you will need a good reason. understand its not our fault you have issue and cant and or wont play ur game. if you have issue pls dont tell me ur peronel problums just say hey king i have issue and i cant play this week and ill work with you np. but also realize i have to be fair to all the owners in bml. nobody is above the rules in bml even me. they go for all of us!!!!!!!! but i will give you 2 mabee 3 times for this depending on your situation. DONT TRY TO LIE OR TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!  if you have issue or just to busy ill work with you within the rules,ty.

Conduct

At NO point will any member send any kind of hateful, demeaning, or derogatory messages to another league member over Yahoo Instant Messenger or Messages through EA Online ID.

If you chose to you a mic that is fine but always be respectful of the other player.

Disconnects disconnections will occur. If one does occur in a game, please replay the game with the same score, and as close to the same time on the clock as possible. If a player shows a pattern of diconnects in games they will be removed from the league.with no warning!

LAG-if you are thinking about playing with lag to get a cheap win, dont do it. i will track lag games! if ur game allways have lag, and i get complaints on the same owner about lag, i will boot you!!! people use lag as a tool to win games win they get scared of losing! i know somtimes lag happens. but i also know people use it and lie about it. wont work here!!! dont play lag!!! NO EXCUSES. IF YOU START A GAME WITH LAG. START THE GAME OVER ASAP. IF THE GAME STARTS LAGING LATER IN THE GAME I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS SO I CAN GET RID OF THESE PEOPLE!!!

Depth Chart

Let’s be realistic, we know you can set your own depth to best suit your teams needs but offense on offense, defense on defense. You know the drill. te can play fb,wr thts it. hb can only play wr if you have a formation tht lines up the hb at wr, and if you put the hb in motion. make sure all motion players stop moving before you snap the ball. lbers can play de, and cb and ss or fs can play each others positions.d-line and o-line are interchageable as well, tht is all tht is allowed. pls dont get caught doing somthing cheesy like wr at hb, or wr at te,ect. ty

Gameplay

Mix up Play calling! (This goes for on offense and defense,run different formations on offense.please dont run the same formation 2 times in a row. i expect evryone to use atleast 5 different formations on offense per game, and mix them up.blitzing evry play all game, is not allowed! , if you send 5 players or more thats a blitz! dont do it the whole game) do not run the no huddle offense! unles its 2 min. left in the 2cd qrter or 4th qrter and you are losing!NO milking the clock unless its 2 min left in the game, if you are having issue calling plays practice more but if you are running the clock down to 12 seconds tht is milking and i will boot you for this, weak people do this to get a cheap win so inside 2 min, 4th qrter you can milk as much as you want.

Do not take advantage of known AI flaws in the game.nano blitzes, causing lag,no rocket passes allowed, no throwing a pass,then taking control of your reciever to make the catch,no taking control of your reciever, then sprinting to the ball or stopping and jumping up to catch the ball, let the reciever catch the ball on his own, then you can take control. no taking control of defenders, bumping recivers(hb,te wr) to make the int, no running to the sideline, then pull up and throw the ball . if you do motion your player must stop befor you hike the ball. no running motion back and forth, it cofuses the cpu a i and will get you booted so dont do it pls. there are a lot of flaws if i have to tell you about all of them, this league is not for you! ect. >

QBs may roll out if designed in the play. if you run past the hash marks you MUST throw the ball or run quickly. dont run out side, stop and go then throw(this is a flaw because the dbs stop playing coverage and they leave the wrs open, so they can watch the qb, then your wrs are open. DONT DO IT) We realize some QBs are mobile and rollout/scramble. That is fine as long as you throw or run as soon as you pass the hash marks( or just outside the tackle box) you can also throw the ball away,DO not pull down to run and then suddenly pull out to pass. This is a known AI Flaw.

No Quick Snapping, Allow Defense to Set, give your opponent 3 seconds to set up before you snap the ball (An exception to this would be if the play clock is about to hit zero.)

Blowouts: Blowouts will occur. Not every owner will produce their A-game every week. With that said, Owners will not STOP playing (or going all out) until the 4th quarter,BUT if you are winning by 21 points or more early in the game, do what you have to do to keep ur 21 point lead, there will be times where you get turnovers for six, pls take those. but  in the 4th quarter, call off your dogs! dont keep passing in the 4th quarter if ur winning by 21 points or more.run a ball control game and kill the clock(dont milk the clock down to 12 seconds. but work on it) inside 2 min in the 4th quarter you can milk the clock to end the game. if i see people running up the score in the 4th quarter after you are winning by 21 points or more, or running up the score on the cpu i will remove you from league play. you can keep playing all out to keeep your 21 point lead, but  if i see in your stats that you keep passing and scoring in the 4th qrter, red flag time. But also be mindfull of the player on the other end. There is no reason to rack up the score and pad stats. Remember how it feels being on the other end.

Fake Punts and Kicks: NOT Allowed in BML

Manually Moving Player: Not allowed before the SNAP. You can manually control a player after the snap. Violators will be removed from BML.

4th Down Rule

Going for it on 4th Down: You cant go for it on 4th down.if the score is 0-0 you cant go for it on 4th down. if you are winning you cant go for it on 4th down. Exception to this rule: If you are losing in the Fourth Quarter.you can go for it anywhere on the field, distance dont matter.

Dropping Back

Dropping or rolling to avoid a sack is warranted if defensive pressure is there. You can’t intentionally drop your QB back 10+ yards just to get receivers open. Same with rolling out.

Goalline Formation

The goal line formation may be used at anytime if the offense is within 10 yards or less of either end zone. It may also be used in situations involving one yard or less to attain a first down.

roster breakdown— Rosters/Injurys

1. One of the most important rules is to meet all the roster requirements.

a) Injured players DO NOT count towards meeting the minium # of players required to have in a certain positiong. IE- Your team roster has a total of 4 Outside LBs(ROLB/LOLB) but one of them is injured and the minimum requirement for this position is 4 active OLBs. This means you must sign one to meet the requirement of 4 active OLBs since the injured one will not count.

c) Why must we meet the requirements? This is to help avoid game disconnections. It is widely known that rosters are the main cause for games disconnecting, game freezing; etc.

REQ. PLAYERS
