Surprise Surprise. written by Chip Darling
It seems the Panthers fans finally have something to cheer for after the team got it's first win at home against Jay Cutler and his Bears. After struggling to get in an offensive groove for 4 weeks the Panthers' Head Coach Ben Dover vented out his frustration being quoted with saying things such as "Can I just win a damn game?" or "I can enjoy for so much but after a while you just have to win..." Well win he did in a 35 - 8 blow out.
After many GM and even fan speculation of whether or not McGOAT would be able to step to the plate, following the controversial trade of sending away Rodgers back in Week 2. Today was the day for McGOAT he went 31/38 for 304 yards with a season record 3 TDs and just one sole 1 int. While Ingram surprised us all with his 23 carries for 110 and a TD averaging just under 5 yards a carry. Although, that wasn't the truly special showing on offense says Head Coach Ben Dover the true shining stars were the Offensive line, which allowed a season record ZERO sacks and opened the holes for the run game. The Defense on the other hand did there usual allowing ZERO points the only score came from the sole interception of McCoy.
Head Coach Ben Dover answered a few questions in the post game press conference, here they are:
Q: Is it true you were worried about Calvin Johnson and DeMarco Murray coming into this game?
A: Quite frankly, Yes I was, I was borderline scared Megatron didn't get is nickname for just any reason and Murray is threat on the run that our D hasn't been able to stop so good. In the end though, I'd say we did a fine job.
Q: Rumor has it that the Panthers, Jaguars and Lions have formed some sort of CatBROS pack?
A: I plead the fifth.
Q:You were quoted with "Playoffs here I come :)" after the game, is that your goal for the season? And what kind of homo uses smiley faces?
A: Yes my goal is playoffs but right now we must take one game at a time. Also, to the second question, I don't really answer to preschool questions so when you improve your line of questioning then we'll talk.
Q: Are you here just so you wont get fined?
A:...
Next week the Panthers take on the Bengals who are currently one of the few undefeated teams in the league. For all your Panthers news, I'm Chip Darling and as always stay frosty North Carolina.
