7-2 but leading the league in points per game, does Denver’s Coach Trash have an answer for the Chargers high octane offense in Allan Arceneaux? |

Cleveland Browns |

8-1 |
Last weeks loss to the Bills may be a cause for concern, but sometimes when outrunning the pack, it is hard not to coast for a moment. Look for the Browns to get back on track these next couple of weeks. |

One of the leagues stingiest defenses, I can’t count out the defending super bowl champ, and I can’t put em any lower than 3. Anthony Barr isn’t getting any faster though... |
4 |
Carolina Panthers |
Matt W |
8-0 |
I hinted that if Carolina could reduce turnovers they could really be a team to watch, now boasting a 2:1 TD/INT ratio, an 8-0 record, and a favorable schedule down the stretch, confidence is building! |
5 |
Tennessee Titans |
Jake |
8-0 |
Switching defensive fronts seems to be the key to the turn around in Tennessee, allowing just 18 points per game, 3rd in the NFL. QB Marcus Mariota is also enjoying a bounce back campaign, with a 13-5 TD-INT mark after 23-32 last year. |
6 |
Buffalo Bills |
Nick |
7-2 |
Last weeks surprising win over Cleveland puts this under the radar Buffalo team firmly in the spotlight. That O-Line has been doing a great job for 2nd year standout, Maxy Andrus, all season, and doesn’t show any sign of slowing down now. |

Green Bay Packers |

Always a strong contender, things seem quiet up in Green Bay, but that’s just the way they like it up there, 2 big games vs Vikings could shape the NFC playoff picture! |

New York Giants |
Ryan |
6-2 |
Rookie sensation Daniel Shatley is showing everyone he was worthy of the first overall pick in last years draft…..except the Bengals passed him up. 2nd overall landed him in NYC, leading a top 5 offense as a rookie, this young gun is sitting pretty in the big apple! |
9 |
New Orleans Saints |
Colin |
6-2 |
Possibly overshadowed by what’s happening in NYC, Saint’s rookie QB Case Supernaw, is also having a fine rookie campaign. While he doesn’t have the glamorous stats of Daniel Shatley, he does equal him in wins. |

Denver Broncos |
Trash |
5-3 |
Allan Arceneaux, who’s production speaks for itself, isn’t the only reason the Broncos find themselves with possession of a playoff spot, that defense is holding opponents to just 290 yards per game. For a comparison, Arceneaux is averaging nearly 180 rushing yards per game himself! |
11 |
Chicago Bears |
C-May |
5-4 |
The offense isn’t always pretty, the way they have phased out Jordan Howard is curious on the surface, but one thing is for sure, that team has a nose for the ball when it is in the air! They are the number 1 team in the league in defending the pass, allowing only 167 yards per game in the air. |

Kansas City Chiefs |
Gibby |
5-4 |
After an impressive win early in the season against Green Bay, the might of the AFC West felt like it might be too much to overcome, but with 2 wins in a row, they have vaulted themselves back into playoff contention. An upcoming game vs the Titans should say a lot about what to expect down the stretch! |

Washington Redskins |

Any other year, a rookie QB leading a team to over 30 points per game, is a sureoffensive rookie of the year candidate, don’t sleep on Zach Ruegamer, he may not have the best pure “arm talent” but it’s hard to argue with his results thus far! |

Arizona Cardinals |
Rack |
5-3 |
With already over 4 players registering attempted forward passes in a Cardinals jersey this season, its fair to wonder where the QB Carousel may eventually stop. With a 1:4 TD-INT Ratio in his 2 starts in the desert, is Sam Bradford a solution, or a stop gap? Has EC III done enough dig himself out of the birdhouse? |
15 |
Indianapolis Colts |
Pope |
4-4 |
After a 4-1 start the Colts have managed to drop 3 straight. With 3 straight games against sub .500 opponents, this hot and colt team could shortly start warming up again! Expect this squad to be in the thick of the wildcard hunt. |

New York Jets |

Another hot and cold team, the high of 4 straight wins paved the way to the disappointment of 4 straight losses. These Jets really need Coach Tre to turn things around and snap this losing streak. |
17 |
Cincinnati Bengals |
Matt B |
4-4 |
Andy Dalton is rewarding the Bengals confidence in him with possibly his best season in years, with a passer rating north of 100 and a 16:5 TD-INT mark, the red rocket might just shoot your team out of the playoff picture! |
18 |
Pittsburgh Steelers |
Dario |
4-4 |
Winner of 3 in a row, incumbent QB, Matt Ryan has quieted the calls for rook QB Danny Bragg, with 4 straight games against sub .500 opponents, young Mr. Bragg might be waiting a while before he gets to throw that ball over a mountain. |

Tampa Bay Buccaneers |

With head office change, can often come player turnover, despite a stellar season thus far, there a rumblings that QB Jameis Winston may have fallen out of favor with the new regime. However, don’t underestimate the power of winning, eat a couple of W’s in a row, and Jameis may find himself back in the good books of his coach! |

New England Patriots |

Let what is happening in New England be a lesson, this is a QB driven league we are in. This team if flush with play makers all over the field, but without reliable QB play, it isn’t as obvious as it should be. |

The Oakland Raiders are looking to ride the momentum from last year surprising playoff run to a quick start to the 2017 season.
By all accounts, nobody expected the Raiders to make a post season run last season, especially after QB Marcus Mariota's collarbone injury on the teams opening drive of the season.
Playing nearly half of the season with a backup QB really seemed to awaken this Raiders team .While the team was losing without its QB, they were fighting hard, and even in losses were taking games to the wire.
Getting Mariota back was the catalyst that changed those close losses into close victories. The team reeled off 7 victories in its final 8 games to take the division title, which it sealed in week 17.
The team won its wild card weekend game against a touch Colts team but suffered a painful loss to eventual super Bowl champion NY Jets.
This relatively young team is looking for continued improvement of their young players and hoping for contributions from offseason additions. With a solid talent base, a fiery young coach in Jake Locker, and a taste of winning, this year’s Oakland Raiders only figures to get better.
The 2015 NFL season is in the books for the Oakland Raiders.
It was a year of ups and downs for the soldiers in silver and black.
The season started with a heart breaking, 1 point loss to the Bengals in the season opener. The tough start quickly snowballed, by week 4 the Raiders were 0-4 while being outscored 144 - 42 in those games.
It could be argued that by the quarter point of the schedule, their 2015 season was all but over.
It was at this point that Coach Jake Locker executed an overhaul of both the offensive and defensive schemes. The team was recommitted to the run, as well as experimenting with a hybrid multiple front defense.
The team responded with its first win of the season against division rival Denver Broncos. While it was only one win, it gave the players faith that their new found schemes would allow them to make more plays.
The team had a sign of hope; star HB Le’Veon Bell exploded in week 5 with 143 yards and 3 TD only 18 attempts. Rookie QB, Marcus Mariota, had his breakout game that week as well with a 375 yard passing game, his first 300+ yard game of his career at that point. The defense had also started to make plays, the pass rush led by possibly the best duo in the NFL Robert Quinn and Vic Beasely Jr. was starting to find the opposing QB’s, the you LB core thrived in its 4-3 set, and the DB’s started to tighten up and contributing some INT’s and deflections.
Things appeared to be on their way up, then after the bye week the Raiders surrendered the most points in franchise history at 59. The reality of having a young team in the NFL had sent this team to rock bottom.
The team refused to stay down, this young team showed a resiliency and fight that would make their late owner, Mr. Al Davis smile.
Coach Jake Locker stated he had one goal prior to the season start; “I want this team to be better at the end of the season than we are right now, at the beginning…. I don’t expect to win every game but I do expect incremental improvement, every week, no exceptions, period.”
The Raiders went on to finish the season at 5-10-1 but managed to win 5 of the final 11 games, and 3 of its final 5. This young team never gave up and did what their fiery coach asked of them and ensured they were better at the end of the season than they were at the beginning. While the season had its ups and downs the Raiders are dedicated to Coach Locker and getting better.
The team is likely to be drafting outside of the top 10 and teams drafting in these positions don’t often find impact players. If this team is have success in the 2016 season the training staff will need to continue improving its young players, and those young players will have to improve their execution. After all, it’s all about “Just Win, Baby!”
