ALL ABOARD!

ALL ABOARD!

Zach Mettenberger's Atlanta Falcons have really taken flight these past few weeks. After a very pedestrian start to the season, Mettenberger has been an integral asset to the Falcons grasping a share of the division lead, largely due to being 3-1 since entering their bye week.

Just a few weeks removed from trade rumors, Mettenberger has taken it upon himself to truly step into the leadership role and show what he is made of. Though the past few weeks have been marred with injuries (including to star running back Christine "The Dream" Michael), Mettenberger has really began to make a name for himself within this organizaion.

When attempting to interview Coach Nicolas Cage on where he believes the success is steming from he just yelled "NOT THE BEES, NOT THE BEES, MY EYES!!!!" over and over. Due to this strange behavior, we sought out an interview with the legendary leader of the Dirty Birds, Arthur Blank.

Mr. Blank was very direct with his points, simply giving us the names Keenan Miller, Christine Michael (RIP), and, of course, THE Zach Mettenberger. Mr. Blank seemed very excited when saying Mettenberger's name (referring to him as Metty), and even had him come in to answer a few questions with us.

Mettenberger entered wearing a pair of Ray Bans, 5.5'' inseem khaki shorts, and a tank top that read "Red, White, & Brew". Instanly, we could see why he is so loved figure by Mr. Blank.

It was almost practice time so we only had time for one question:

PP Touch Illustrated:Where has this sudden turn around in your play come from?

Mettenberger: "Well, heading into week three (after throwing SIX interceptions in week two) I knew changes had to be made. So I took it upon myself to watch alot of film, truly inspirational film. Although just a measly running back, watching Ronald Reagan portray George Gipp was just truly such an inspiration to me. So I took it to heart...I go out there every week and try my damndest to win one for the Gipper. That, and I listen to Springsteen's Born in the USA on repeat during games."

Following that statement, Mettenberger stood up, shotgunned a Yunegling, and went to put on his pads.

As we packed up our notepads and started heading to our cars, we discovered another source of the success Atlanta has found. One that strikes fear in to every opponent they and their allies go against. As we walked through the parking lot only one thing could be heard, and I am sure it echoed all throughout flowery branch... The entire team just chanting one frightening phrase...

BIRDGANG!!!
