It all began on December 12, 2014. When commissioner TDJ1952 decided to create the HSFL. He brought along smooth111547 to be a co-commissioner, and they recruited within a matter of  a few days. Later on, they had their webpage established and were well on their way to creating a legacy. The original HSFL consisted of original Hitsquad members, that some may consider the "squad". Current owner of the Bengals, Packers, Lions, Rams, and current co-commissioners  that own the Cardinals and the Chiefs remain. Sadly, the first generation of the HSFL was ruined after the Cardinals owner and original co-commissioner won his very first HSFL Superbowl, by a group of delinquients that didn't enjoy an authority winning a bowl. This would be called the "first generation" of the HSFL. This generation had gone for 5 seasons and were continuing to go very strong, but sadly, it got flooded with members dropping their players. However, that didn't stop the league and their progress. They created a brand new Hitsquad, and now has recorded their history ever since. Originals from the second generation include the Lions, Packers, Rams, Cardinals, Chiefs, Redskins, Browns, Chargers, Colts, Patriots, Bears, Broncos, Jaguars, Jets, Steelers, and the Cowboys. Including the two commissioners, the Raiders and the Dolphins, that makes up more than half the league! During our Madden 16 tenure however, we've accumulated some extremely solid members that will no doubt in my mind stay a HSFL competitor till further notice. The owner of the Bills, Bucs, Eagles, Panthers, and Vikings all contribute into what this league has become today! 

The league has absolutely no plans on ending. Madden 17, 18, 19, and so on and so forth will see the likes of the HSFL banner making its way across the board.
