Savage Roster Evaluations

Savage Roster Evaluation

What’s up yaw boys? In the last few days I’ve poured over every roster in the league and made several assessments for each team. The 5 categories for each team is talent, depth, cap space, hidden gems, draft needs and lasty “WWSD” for what would Savage do. I actually don’t mind writing articles so as a forewarning this is probably going to be a long article. Just find your team and keep it moving. Let’s break it down by divisions

AFC North

Browns- I could start here by saying I have the best roster and yada yada all that but Ill keep it real.

Talent- The Browns have talent in every position on their roster. Offensively, they have a young QB/RB in Deshone Kizer and Tevin Coleman and defensively they have young studs in Myles Garrett and Jamal Adams. The team invested in a bunch of veteran stars as well such as Justin Houston, Aqib Talib, and Demariyus Thomas.

Depth- The Browns have a good collection of depth on their roster as well. They are behind at RB after the departure of Isaiah Crowell but otherwise almost every position has 2 backups capable of contributing without having too many lapses

Cap Space- Sitting with about 14m in cap the Browns are a bit on the low side of cap space but they do have contracts that can easily be shedded to acquire about 15m more which is a solid $30m. Their cap will likely go to resigning their young core instead of free agency

Hidden Gems- The biggest hidden gem on this team is LE Tyrone Holmes. Most don’t know who the hell that is but he finished with 17 sacks as a sub 80 overall.

Draft Needs- With this team already being loaded on talent they can choose to draft best available rather than focusing on a need

WWSD- Savage already did what he would do and it led to a ring. Just saying

Ravens
Talent- The Ravens do not have a loaded amount of talent. The previous owner traded away Breshad Perriman which is essentialy the only reason to have the team. Luckily the team was sold to a more competent owner who has already started filling in talent with names like Travis Kelce, Jordan Howard and Allen Robinson.

Depth- Depth is solid all around for this team and they have a surplus of DT. Maybe Randy is a co owner

Cap Space- The Ravens have 18m in cap space currently and could easily free up another 10m+. This team will likely use cap in the next offseason free agency to acquire more talent

Hidden Gems- FS Tavon Young. Some know about Tavon Young as a great corner to develop but this is the first FS Young that I’ve seen. With his speed and coverages I have little doubt he will miss the Pro Bowl

Draft Needs- Is Joe Flacco elite? Exactly so this team definitely needs to draft a franchise QB and since this one of the better users at throwing the ball even a 3rd round talent QB could be the face of this franchise.

WWSD- Not give advice to a division rival tf (raised eyebrow groupme emoji)

Steelers

Talent- The Steelers are always a team loaded with talent to begin with. The Big 3 in Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown can hold their own for at least 2 full seasons. Add in a bunch of young talent like Ryan Shazier, Artie Burns, TJ Watt, Bud Dupree, and Jesse James, this team has a solid building block while already having a roster competitive enough to compete

Depth- The Steelers have a bunch of linebackers but not enough secondary. Sources tell me they are trying to move both Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant so their WR depth will also be thin.

Cap Space- The Steelrs have a solid 32m in cap space so cap shouldn’t hold this team back from trading, free agency, resigining etc.

Hidden Gems- WR Juju Smith-Schuster. Juju isn’t the fastest but he is solid all around and only 21 years old. He should be easy to develop and possibly become the #1 WR for the Steelers

Draft Needs- Big Ben isn’t trash but he is getting old so I think the Steelers need to draft a QB as well. If they do trade both Brown and Bryant I’m sure they will also draft WR.

WWSD- Make Juju a beast, build around the young core of studs on defense, and get rid of the old vets still worth something before their worth disappears

Bengals

Talent- The Bengals are usually underrated when it comes to talent but they have their fair share of talent. Of course they have AJ Green a top 5 WR and John Ross the fastest WR in madden not named Devin Hester. Defensively the dline will always create pressure and whilst the LBs and DBs are a bit older, they can def hold their own

Depth- This team only has one QB on the roster which is Andy Dalton but otherwise they are thouroughly filled in every other position

Cap Space- Cincy only has 15m in cap space but getting rid of some older bench players like Adam Jones and Darqueze Dennard could free up another 10m

Hidden Gems- MLB Jordan Evans. Evans had a 10 interception rookie season and looks to be the youngblood of a generally older defense.

Draft Needs- Unless they plan on rocking on with the Red Rocket expect this team to draft a QB as well and grab some younger secondary to offset the old heads.

WWSD- Lose Dalton, get picks for Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill, make Ross the goat, and get younger on defense

AFC South

Texans

Talent- This team is loaded with talent. As a matter of fact, if it were not for them trading away their 1st rd pick, they would have been chisen top 10. Offense= Watson, Miller, Hopkins, Fuller, Strong and Defense= JJ Watt, Clowney, Mckinney.

Depth- Team is overloaded at WR and need more LBs as 3 of their LBs are primarily pass rushers

Cap Space- Texnas have 23m in cap space but this includes the Hopkins contract which is the highest WR contract ever in terms of guaranteed so far.

Hidden Gems- WR Jaelen Strong. Strong almost never seems to come into fruition as a member of the Texans. He is a super solid all around WR and young enough to dev. He might not become a #1 WR but he can always be an elite WR2 borderline WR1 after 1 solid season of usage.

Draft Needs- This team has no 1st or 2nd round pick and need secondary bad. Their fastest corner is 90 spd and in the AFC south that means you’re gonna get cooked 6 times a season

WWSD- Start Watson, trade Miller, run with Hopkins, Strong, and Fuller as my 123 WR. Start rebuilding the oline, trade one of the elite pass rushers to either fill a void or get more draft picks, and fire everyone in the secondary for being such bums.
Titans

Talent- Titans have so much talent its crazy. This is a team that typically gets taken top 5 in cfm because it can be solidly developed internally without needing to make any trades. WR Corey Davis and CB Adoree Jackson are the offensive/defensive studs to build around.

Depth- Titans have good depth all around except for their oline. If anyone goes down they’ll have one scrub to put in and then start having to use TEs and LB

Cap Space- Titans only have 5m in cap space so they definitely need to free up some money before the next offseason comes along. The downside to the internal development is that they will all cost a lot to resign

Hidden Gems- SS Kevin Byard. Byard is a solid free safety but at SS not too sure how that’ll work but nonetheless outside of the 79 hpw he should succeed

Draft Needs- This team only has 3 cbs on the roster so I could see them drafting CB, some younger LBs, or some depth for the oline

WWSD- Lose Murray, start Henry, dev Davis and Jackson every week, add oline depth, free up at least 10m more in cap

Colts

Talent- Colts are usually a team lacking talent which leads them to being one of the last few teams picked. However these Colts aint your average Colts. Offensively, Luck, Mack, KA13 and even old ass Ted Ginn still snaps. Defense makes plays with Walker Jr, Quincy Wilson, TJ Green and Malik Hooker. Also a top 10 oline

Depth- Depth is pretty good. Colts just need anoher QB on their roster after Luck and one more HB and WR for depth.

Cap Space- Colts got 29m to flirt with so they are in a good position. If they can shed the Luck albatross the team will be rich af

Hidden Gems- CB Quincy Wilson. Not really hidden as most know who he is by now but prior to season start Wilson wasn’t known by most and then not wanted because of 88spd. 10 interceptions later Wilson is def a beast

Draft Needs- This team lacks pass rushers so I could see them targeting at least one major pass rusher and then just drafting for fun after that.

WWSD- Get rid of Luck asap. Contract is backloaded so he makes 17m this yr and then 22m, 28m, and then a whopping 37m in the last year of contract. Mack wasn’t anything special prior to the start of the lg so obviously RB isn’t needed on this team, anyone can probably be made great so trade Mack, get better pass rushers on defense.

Jags

Talent- Hella talent on this roster but the GM knows talent so no surprise here. Fournette probably the second best RB after Mccafrey and Perriman and Dede Westbrook are really the only 2 WRs this team needs. Defense is young and will be a force as long as this league exists

Depth- Only 2 QBs on the roster and Bortles is in trade talks so they need another QB and the team has no safeties

Cap Space- Only 16m in cap space here and the season after this season Perriman contract will be worth that alone. Not to mention having, Myles Jack, Jalen Ramsey, Jalen Myrick all coming up in the future

Hidden Gems- LE Yannick Ngakoue. 8.5 sacks on a star studded dline, this guy has potential if their were more oppurtunities.

Draft Needs- As one of the better QB user, a QB is def needed but since Fournette can literally carry a team, maybe QB isn’t needed as much. No safeties so 1 or 2 picks there and then whatever has the fastest 40. This is a GM who is known to make bust picks looking for speed however

WWSD- Get a QB, even the most bless user QBs cant win with a bum at the helm. And after witnessing what happens after Fournette cant carry the team, QB is a must. Get some safties and move one of the CBs to safety. Figure out cap so resigning wont force me into trading away young stars just to draft younger stars

AFC West

Broncos

Talent- Broncos still have an elite defense but offensively this squad needs some work. No QB, CJ Anderson is alright at RB, WR are either old or bad and the oline needs some work

Depth- Broncos need to add some oline depth as well as a few WRs and LBs.

Cap Space- Broncos are one of the better teams in the lg as far as cap space with an impressive 41m to spend. Look for this team to overhaul in free agency next season, if they check free agency that is

Hidden Gems- FS Justin Simmons. Simmons is only 24 but has decent speed and coverages and is 6’2. With some proper development a cover 3 with Roby on one side Chris Harris Jr on the other side, and Simmons in the middle, pass defense would be immaculate.

Draft Needs- QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then a WR

WWSD- Draft a QB definitely, then get at least one great WR, lose some defensive depth to replenish oline, and be ready to make it rain in free agency next offseaon

Chargers

Talent- The Bolts have great talent on the defenseive side of the ball but the offense needs some work. Unless they plan on making Cardale Jones the franchise, they need a QB, their guards might be the best two guard tandem in the league so they just need a few more guys and their RBs and WRs are solid

Depth- Depth wise the Chargers only have one QB on the roster but are sufficiently set at every other position

Cap Space- Chargers have a whopping 50m free in cap space at them moment. They too will be fiercly tossing cash when the next free agency rolls around and should have absolutely no problem when its time to resign Mike Williams, Joey Bosa etc.

Hidden Gems- MLB Jatavis Brown. Brown is only 5’11 but is fast, hits hard enough, and excellent in coverage.

Draft Needs- They need to draft a QB and then some more oline and a FS.

WWSD- With the way this team is built I would probably opt to trade for a good QB or make it rain on one next FA, build around the two guards on oline, probably move Casey Hayward to FS so he can play center field

Cheifs/Mounties

Talent- This team is on the low side of talent. There are only 27 players on the roster but they did manage to retain good talent such as Tyreek Hill and Zay Jones. Defensively, Josh Jones, and Shariff Floyd will be leading the way

Depth- This team needs depth in every single position. By far the lowest number of players on a roster across the league

Cap Space- The Mounties have 46m freed up in cap space so they’ll likely fill a bunch of those depth issues with low safe FA contracts and then cash out in FA next year

Hidden Gems- WR Zay Jones. Zay is a perfect compliment to a speedster like Hill. At only 23 he should be easy to dev up and can feed off of people fearing Hill

Draft Needs- Since they have no depth they need everything but this GM can usually win games without a great QB so I don’t see them drafting one early.

WWSD- Draft a QB, dev Hill he should already be the goat, get an oline that can sustain the pass block for the deep downfields throws this team thrives off of and get some DBs that wont get toasted in coverage

Raiders

Talent- The Raiders are fairly talented but its hard to understand their full talent because the GM is a fierce trader and will pretty much get rid of anyone.

Depth- This team has 6 RBs, 3LBs and no kicker but apart from that is fine elsewhere.

Cap Space- With 36m in cap space the Raiders will be making some noise next offseason and will likely trade away Khalil Mack rather than resign him

Hidden Gems- WR Kenny Golladay. Traded over from Detroit, Golloway is a fairy dusted WR who can snag on the best of them.

Draft Needs- Only thing needed in draft are coverage LBs and maybe 1 cornerback

WWSD- Offense is pretty built nothing really needs to change, would get better CBs a good MLB and trape someone for Mack to avoid resigning. Obi to CB as well

AFC East

Jets

Talent- It was looking terrible for this team a week ago but then a surprise pree conference came and it was announce the team was sold to Doom. Immediately, talented players then wanted to head to NY so this roster has some good talent with names like Corey Coleman, Tavon Young, Dee Ford coming in after the sale.

Depth- This team essentially gutted its roster so depth is needed everywhere

Cap Space- As of now the Jets have 22m in cap space but that should change after the penalties for the roster gutting come off the books. The new GM is a frivoulous spender so next free agency should be fun to watch

Hidden Gems- DT Danny Shelton. Shelton is only 25 with quick dev and 95 strength. Runs up the middle go nowhere and the pocket gets pushed back opening the door for the defensive ends and OLBs

Draft Needs- With the fresh roster look, every position is a need

WWSD- Doesn’t matter. Only a few think close enough to what I think and Doom is one

Patriots

Talent- Patriots are stacked. Nothin new. Both sides of the roster are competitive, with speed in all the right places

Depth- This team doesn’t lack depth anywhere but they do have an excess of WRs and SS

Cap Space- 21m in cap space which is decent but a great chunk of that will go to resigning Brandin Cooks this upcoming season

Hidden Gems- RE Derek Rivers. Rivers made the switch to dline this past offseason but just a year ago he was second in the league with 15 interceptions

Draft Needs- This team still lacks a dominant RB so maybe a 1st rd talent RB will increase the offensive production and the safeties are getting a bit old so those 2 might need to be replaced soon

WWSD- The biggest thing I would’ve done was already done by getting of Brady early and rolling with Jimmy G. I’d acquire a great RB, one LB, a younger safety or convert a corner to safety and then try to free up space in cap so after Cooks is signed the teams pockets are still comfortable. I’d also probably get rid of a few vets while their prices are still high

Dolphins

Talent- The Dolphins lack thetalent that would make users really want this team but they still have some solid players. Guys like Jay Ajayi and Devante Parker can hold down the offense while guys like Suh, Anthony Barr, and Deone Buchanon can help out the defense

Depth- Depth is decent. Only QB on the roster is 30 year old Tannehill. More safeties needed along with a Punter

Cap Space- This team has 18m in cap space and the only thing really hurting this team is the contract of Suh. If the contract can get shedded this team will be splashin in the next free agency period

Hidden Gems- WR Devante Parker. 88ovr 25yr old quick dev 66’3 WR? Yes pls

Draft Needs- This team has no speed at CB so I expect them to draft a CB and then maybe a replacement for Tannehill.

WWSD- Figure out how to get rid of Suh and do it, move on from Tannehill, get younger safeties

Bills/Bulldogs

Talent- Offesively this team is a bit of a struggle. Tyrod Taylor isn’t a complete QB, and Shady is still nice but is getting old. WRs aren’t too fast and cant get open but defensively this team is a lot better. Key players like Shaq Lawson, Marcell Dareus, Reggie Ragland, and Marcus Peters hold down the fort

Depth- This team has a lot more depth on defense than on offense but all the team needs to build depth around is maybe the LBs

Cap Space- Bills have 30m in cap space not sue how much that is in euros but they should be fine for free agency and ready to resign Peters once he comes up for resigning

Hidden Gems- WR Paul Richardson. Now Richardson is 26 but if he would’ve been devved more at 25 he would be a beast. Still, his 94 spd and 90 jumping is top notch

Draft Needs- Unless the GM is proficient with a game manager offense, a QB has to be wanted, along with a WR that can become #1. Outside of those 2 positions it’s a free for all

WWSD- With this team having a strong defense I would draft a QB, trade for a young WR 21-23 to dev up and at least one speedster in the DBs

NFC North

Vikings

Talent- The Vikings have one of the most talented team on paper in the league. Offensively they have Patrick Mahomes, Dalvin Cook, as long with two notorious chain movers in Jarvis Landry and Stefon Diggs. Defensively, Everson Griffen, CJ Mosley and Xavier Rhodes lead the charge.

Depth- Vikings seem to love WRs seeing as they have 7 on their active roster but only 2 QBs and 2 RBs. The Dline could use a couple of guys for increased depth

Cap Space- The Vikings have 32m in cap space already so they should fine moving forward. The GM has already resigned Landry so only Diggs and CJ Mosley will cost him

Hidden Gems- CB Rashard Robinson. Robinson is a bit of a project but thanks to him going through a known development system led by Coach Teddy, he is a 23yr old SS looking to shut down the other side of Xavier Rhodes

Draft Needs- This team could really use some picks for Oline. Dalvin cook and Mahomes will both need great protection up front to maximize their potential. Harrison Smith also took a regression hit so time for a new FS

WWSD- Dev Mahomes and Oline since Cook and the WRs can hold their own, either trade for some Oline or pick up some 21-22 yr old for fast development, move Harrison Smith to LB since he’s 85spd now

Lions

Talent- Detroit has a sizable amount of talent on their roster. Stafford is still bless, Riddick and Abdullah are a 2 headed monster. Defensively they have Bobby Wagner and Jarrad Davis patrolling the middle

Depth- This team is stockpiled with CBs, checking in with 6 on the active roster. Otherwise they are fine with depth

Cap Space- The Lions have only a surprising 3m in cap space but most of that is attributed to the fact that Matthew Stafford is the highest paid player in NFL history

Hidden Gems- CB Jamal Agnew. Agnew is undersized but you’d never know because of his ability to make plays on the ball.

Draft Needs- The Lions have to address their WR need as Golden Tate is the best WR on their roster. I could also see them taking some Oline pieces but I’m sure they’ll fray from DBs unless they find some true speed

WWSD- Get some WRs, develop Oline immensely, Get at least one shutdown corner and let Killebrew play FS

Packers

Talent- The Packers are solid with talent everywhere but their CBs. Aaron Rodgers still has a dangerous as ever offense and the defense is led by Clay Mathews and Mike Daniels.

Depth- Packers probably have the best distribution of depth in the league with every single position having at least 1 backup

Cap Space- Currently the Pack sit with 17m free but losing Clay Mathews and Jordy Nelson would free up another 18m

Hidden Gems- CB Kevin King. 23yr old 6’3 CB with 90+ spd and acc. Nuff said

Draft Needs- Since the team moved Ty Montgomery back to WR, a RB is def needed. Also they could use a CB with decent coverages

WWSD- Put Ty back at RB he’s a beast catching out the backfield, get rid of Jordy Nelson, trade for a lockdown CB and put EV at FS, Ha Ha at SS

Bears

Talent- Surprisingly the Bears have a pretty talented roster. QB Mitchell Trubisky is looking to take big strides with a new HC. Since this is a run heavy coach it should give him more time to develop and learn the offense. Pernell McPhee and Leonard Floyd lead the way for the defense

Depth- The Bears have good depth but could probably afford to lose one of their 4 TEs and add another offensive lineman

Cap Space- The Bears have 7m in cap space but could alleviate some space by trading Josh Sutton and although very unlikely, Pernell McPhee

Hidden Gems- DT Eddie Goldman. Goldman will end up a top 5 DT in the league don’t @ me

Draft Needs- This is a GM known to draft dline so I see no way they don’t draft dlineman and I could also see them taking a TE to replace Zach Miller.

WWSD- Dev Trubisky, get rid of Kevin White if you can get some value, add another good Oline man, draft Zach Millers replacement, dev the dline and CBs

NFC South

Falcons

Talent- One of the more talented rosters in the league, the Falcons have an all around roster built to compete. Matt Ryan is still a top 5 QB as well as Freeman bring a top 5 RB. On defense both Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley are dominant pass rushers and Deion Jones and Desmond Trufant just add to a stacked defense.

Depth- The Falcons have a perfect amount of depth in each positions. One of a few teams

Cap Space- The Falcons have only 6m in cap space as of now but getting rid of Matt Ryan and Joe Haden would free up an additional 21m

Hidden Gems- ROLB Duke Riley. Duke is only 24 now but is already 80ovr with quick dev. Another season of development and him and Deion Jones will be a force to deal with

Draft Needs- Since the team trade Julio Jones and Jake Mathews it would make the most sense to draft a WR and a LT.

WWSD- Trade Matt Ryan to free up cap, dev WR and Oline since QB and RB are already elite, dev LBs and DBs since dline is blessed enough

Panthers

Talent- Another talent filled roster, the Panthers also have the leagues best RB in Run CMC. Defensively, Luke Kuechly and Shaq Thompson roam the middle and young CBs James Bradberry and Corn Elder have lockdown responsibilities

Depth- This team is a rare team that seems to have too much depth with quite a few positions holding too many players

Cap Space- As of now the team has 25m in cap space and can free up another 7m by downgrading their backup QBs. (Cam makes a 11m this year compared to the two backups combing for a cool 9m)

Hidden Gems- CB Corn Elder. Corn Elder was a surprise no one saw coming. Before suffering a mid season injury that sidelined him until the playoffs, Corn was on pace to win DROY

Draft Needs- I could see this team trying to trade up for a beast WR to alleviate some pressure on the run game. Also with Thomas Davis aging, a replacement is likely to get drafted

WWSD- Acquire a dominant outside WR, dev up Oline, dev up DBs and free up a little more cap to make a splash in next FA

Saints

Talent- Definitely a top 5 teams in terms of talent. Good QB, solid stable of RBs, an unbelievable pass catching trio in Michael Thomas, Martavis Bryant, and Phillip Dorsett. Defensively, Cam Jordan, Darius Slay, Aaron Donald, Sua Cravens and newly acquired KGH will make a ton of noise this year

Depth- This team could probably afford to lose a corner in order to get another safety. And another DE

Cap Space- Saints have only 3m in cap which is towards the bottom of the league but getting rid of P Thomas Morstead could free up another 5m. While this team is stacked now their isn’t much they can do to free up can and they need to resign Blake Bortles, Aaron Donald, and Philip Dorsett

Hidden Gems- RT Ryan Ramcyzk. Ryan is only 24 quick dev 86+ in str, pbk, rbk, and imp

Draft Needs- This team will probably look to find the replacement for Marshon Lattimore in the draft. After that I could see them looking for another Bless Oline piece and maybe a WR for depth

WWSD- Dev up QB and Oline, dev LBs and DBs, figure out some cap management and definitely cut the overpaid Punter

Bucs

Talent- This is a team that is more talented on the offensive side than on the defense but the defense can still hold its own. Doug Martin is out in TB and Carlos Hyde is the new RB. Paired with Crab Legs and Mike Evans, the 3 for a formidable trio. Defensively, Gerald McCoy, Kwon Alexander, Lavonte David, and VH3 can all make plays.

Depth- This team has 2 kickers but it is the Bucs so that is understandable. They should probably cut a kicker and add a FS since there is only one on the roster

Cap Space- Right now the Bucs have 25m in cap space and can easily add to that by trading DJax if they wanted another 11m. Cap space is imperative because Mike Evans, Kwon Alexander, and Famous Jameis all need to be resigned this season

Hidden Gems- WR Chris Godwin. At 22 and quick dev with 90+spd and acc, it isn’t hard at all to see why he’s a gem. With Mike Evans and DJax already on the roster he adds to a talented WR pool

Draft Needs- This team needs to draft a young RB they can build for the future with the resignings of Winston and Evans. Another safety should get drafted and after that it’s just all for fun

WWSD- Resigning Jameis, Evans, and Alexander would be 1st priority, trade DJax for a pick to get that young RB, put Godwin on the outside if you keep DJax and put DJax in the slot, get rid of older defensive talent for younger talent

NFC West

Cardinals

Talent- This is an interesting team talent wise. At QB is Kirk Cousins and they don’t have any true beast WRs but they have a top 5 RB in David Johnson (who was almost on his way to Cleveland a year ago this time), and a top 5 Oline. On defense they are pretty stacked all around with Brandon Graham, Hason Reddick, Jordan Hicks, Fletcher Cox, PP21 and the Honey Badger.

Depth- This team is missing a FB, and is overhauled on LBs and short on Dline but a couple position swaps should help that

Cap Space- Now after all that talent I named, the Cards still have a whopping 35m to flirt with in cap space. No need to even try to make more space they are solid although this is a huge resigning year and they will likely have to free up money later if they want to have a chance at decent FAs

Hidden Gems- WR JJ Nelson. Nelson is a top 10 fastest WR in the league and with such a stout running game, great Oline, play action passes can free him up deep with enough protection to complete the pass

Draft Needs- This team most definitely needs to draft a QB. They are paying too much to old QBs and could be saving so much more money with a rookie QB. Also a legitimate WR is needed not just deep threats.

WWSD- Draft a QB or if spending is no big deal trade for one of those old heads coming up for resigning such as Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan etc. Get a legit WR1 you’d trust feeding, dev dline and LBs, swap Cox from ROLB to DT, swap Graham from DT to RE, figure out cap management to handle the numerous resignings approaching

Rams

Talent- The Rams have solid talent as well. On offense Jared Goff is coming along and with Todd Gurley running the ball, his responsibilities have dropped. Sammy Watkins is a beast nothing new. Defensively, Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn, and Alec Ogletree lead a great front 7

Depth- Goff is the only QB so need a backup there and overloaded on CB

Cap Space- Rams have a comfortable 26m in cap space and they nobody important up for resigning

Hidden Gems- TE Gerald Everett. This TE is nothing short of beast. 24 85spd 80+ in all catching and even a serviceable 66rbk/71imp

Draft Needs- Defense. I could definitely see this team drafting a true lockdown CB because they don’t have any one good now. I can also see them going for another WR and then adding to the pass rushing depth

WWSD- Dev Goff even though it’s a pain, keep the run game strong, add to the Oline, draft or trade for a true CB1 and leave some cap space instead of resigning the buns this year so when Watkins and Donald come up they can be resigned.

49ers/Conquistadors

Talent- The 49ers were trash. The Conquistadors are lit tho. Brady still at QB, this is one of the better user runners in the league so RB doesn’t matter, and they added Julio as a dominant target for Brady. Defensively, they have a great young studded defense featuring Arik Armstead, Deforest Buckner, Solomon Thomas, and Reuben Foster

Depth- Mexico City needs a couple DEs and less DTs. 4 TEs as well so I’m sure someone can catch those release papers

Cap Space- The Conquistadors have 26m free and the only needed resigning is Jake Mathews

Hidden Gems- TE George Kittle. Kittle is another blessed young TEs that will likely play his way into Top 5 TE territory in a few seasons. Top notch speed for a TE

Draft Needs- Maybe a QB to dev now while Brady plays out what will likely be his final season. A late round RB to dev up, maybe a good CB with speed and then Oline

WWSD- Get a QB to dev behind Brady so it’s not that hard of an adjustment if he retires, dev up WRs and Oline since QB and RB isn’t anything special right now, dev dline and DBs at least until a solid CB comes along to dev

Seahawks

Talent- The Hawks per usual have more talent on defense than offense but this is still a good looking offense on paper. Russ Wilson, Latavius Murray, Tyler Lockett and Eric Enron lead the offense and Michael Bennett, Frank Clark, Earl Thomas, and Bam Bam Kam lead the defense

Depth- All the Hawks need are more DEs and less CBs

Cap Space- Sadly the Hawks only have 2m in cap space. They can free up money by trading away Richard Sherman and Kj Wright

Hidden Gems- LT Taylor Decker. Decker already is a 97 ovr LT at just 24yrs old. He is desperately needed by irl Hawks to protect DangeRuss

Draft Needs- This team needs a WR to replace an old head, and also some defensive pieces so they can free up cap space

WWSD- Dev RB and Oline, trade Sherman, KJ wright, and Earl Thomas (safety easy to dev), dev LBs and DBs

NFC East

Eagles

Talent- Eagles have talent where they need it and will likely use this offseason to prime the team for a championship run. Wentz is coming along nice, and Josh Doctson was a great pickup the past season. On defense, the young Derek Barnett is ready for action and Ronald Darby/Sidney Jones IV are already locking down on the outside

Depth- The team is solid with depth. Could use another olineman and another FS.

Cap Space- Only 8m in cap space but only Darby is a MUST resign

Hidden Gems- CB Sidney Jones IV. Jones isn’t talked about since Darby is the key CB in philly now but he has solid attributes across the board and will likely force QBs to throwing over the middle which we all know is a bad idea

Draft Needs- I could see this team drafting a RB to replace Blount, maybe getting a WR to add to their offense and then putting the rest into defense

WWSD- Dev Wentz and the WRs, draft a RB and another WR, get some youth in the front 7 next to Barnett, free up cap to ensure Darby can get resigned

Cowboys

Talent- Cowboys have a bunch of talented individuals on this squad. Of course the big 3 runs the offense, Dak Zeke & Dez, but defensively the team is ramping it up with guys like David Irving, Taco Charlton, Jaylon Smith, Anthony Brown and Byron Jones

Depth- Boys have solid depth. But are overloaded at WR and DE

Cap Space-  Cowboys have 24m in cap right now and could free up more cash by getting rid of Brian Orakpo and Geno Smith

Hidden Gems- WR Ryan Switzer. Switzer is a 23yr old starboy with 83+ in all catching attributes. He’s like a young Wes Welker and should help the Cowboys move on from Dez Bryant next season when he’s due to make 20m

Draft Needs- I could see this team taking another WR even though they are ok there. And then everything else into defense

WWSD- dev QB and WR, dev LBs and DBs, get rid of Dez, start figuring out cap now because season after this, Dak, Zeke, Dez, Jaylon Smith, Lael Collins all surface up for new money

Giants

Talent- This team is almost exclusively talented on defense. The offense only offers OBJ and Evan Engram with 2 great olineman. Defensively however, they still have JPP, Olivier Vernon, Snax Harrison, Jack rabbit, Eli Apple and 21 Savage

Depth- The team just needs to add another FS and their depth is perfect

Cap Space- Now this is where things extremely tricky for the Giants. They have 13m in cap but they need to resign OBJ AND Landon Collins and after they pay them, the following season both Eli Apple and Sterling Shepard come up for new contracts as well.

Hidden Gems- TE Evan Engram. Engram didn’t have the season most thought he was capable of last season which is why he’s my hidden gem. He is the fastest TE and at just 23 will be a force to reckon with

Draft Needs- This team has to pull the plug on Eli Manning and get someone else back there. They also need a legit RB to feed 15-20 carries a game too. They should also look to replace some of those pricey defensive players so they can afford to resign their studs

WWSD- Get rid of Eli Manning, acquire a RB, build the holes in the Oline, shed expensive contracts for cheaper ones, dev WRs and TE, dev dline and DBs

Redskins

Talent- The Redskins aren’t the most talented team but they have enough key pieces to make it work. Offensively, Teddy Bridgewater looks to continue working with Crowder and Pryor, defensively the team is building around Johnathan Allen and Fabian Moreau

Depth- The Redskins is perfectly set up already

Cap Space- Skins have 26m to do damage with and will likely be a huge spender in next years FA

Hidden Gems- CB Fabian Moreau. 6’0 tall with 94/93 spd/acc decent coverages and only 24

Draft Needs- The skins need a dominant WR since Pryor will start regressing and then they need to fill their interior Oline. Defensively get a younger LB core

WWSD- dev QB and WRs, find better guards, dev dline and DBs, get some younger LBs, put Josh Norman in the slot

Bucs-El Nino

ElNino212 is really good at not disclosing personal info. The most I've gotten from him is that he's a Minnesota fan. I still have nightmares of him user sacking me 6 times with Dante Fowler Jr. in Revo16

Favorite team: Vikings

For the longest I thought J5 was black because I thought only black people edited pictures like his profile pic. Overall he's a cool guy, won't cause to much trouble and lives to piss Rico off

Let's all be real. We all know why I like Puff no need to even say anything

Favorite team: Lions

Favorite team: Redskins

NFC West

Seahawks- Halpin

Halpin’s one of the guys I've known since I started cfm. Loves the Seahawks, loves Shane, loves pot. For a good piece of time I truly believed he was indeed Jermaine Kearse. I mean, have you seen Halpin and Kearse in the same place? But in all seriousness Halpin's a good guy. Won't cause trouble at all and also won't throw the ball further than 6 yards. Halpin's our resident marijuana grower as he has grown and cut his own plant time and time again.

Favorite team: Seahawks

49ers- Ric

Ric, Ric, Ric. This guy will make you feel bad for every good playcall you do through his yelling of profanities through the Kinect. English in the PMs, Spanish through the Kinect. Another non trouble maker. Cut back on those INT numbers Ric!

Favorite team: Cowboys

Cardinals- Jesse

Where do I begin with Jesse? When I was first added to XM, he blasted me and made feel like a pos despite not having played me outside of a failed league. Once we got to know each other we were cool. Jesse's another diehard Redskins fan but also a Cardinal supporter. Our resident car mechanic. Jesse is sometimes weird in chat but he's an awesome guy.

Favorite team: Redskins

Rams- Res

I have yet to ever play Res while not being high. We title our games the stoner bowls and one of us blows out the other and the other doesn't care cause he's high. Bought a box of corn dogs the other day just thinking of him. Swell guy, the “quiet” commish

Favorite team: Rams

“If I get killed by a Hurricane named Matt I'll be pissed”

NFC North

Packers- Todd/Kumar

Todd is an arrogant pos but has a decent sense of humor. Kumar is your average guy, pretty cool, in college, loves the Patriots (smh) and although he hid his true identity for far too long, we welcome him openly like the family he is. “The draw play is ineffective”. Seriously tho, anytime you're back in Atlanta we can always chill

“Stfu Jesbitch”

Favorite team: Patriots

Vikings- Zach

When I first met Zach he was Zeek but the lie detector determined, that was a lie. Zach is our version of like a Skip Bayless. Very knowledgeable about sports but can sometimes have a one sided view. Also he's just like most of us with how much the game makes us want to rage but it's more funny coming from him. Sources are already telling me that he is now in route to my house, gg. Seriously tho, Zach is one of our valued members. He actually cares about keeping his favorite team together and is a proven winner

“Fuck this game. I quit”

Favorite team: Vikings

Bears- Reece

Snorkel’s another guy I've known awhile. Since he was the RFD Bengals and called 4 verticals every 3rd down. Last Madden we took our rivalry to another level and he finished with the better all time record but both of us knew our games were never a doozy. Reece is also our resident computer scientist. He is really good at programming and is aiming to avoid becoming the third league member designated as bald.

“A whopping 50% of his runs are all inside zone”

Favorite team: Bears

Lions- DJ Danny

I've known Danny since he picked up Stokes pos Packers team in RFD last year. Danny's one of the best MLB users I know in the game and trust me I've faced my fair share. Danny is also our resident NBA expert and can provide STRAIGHT FACTS in an argument. Definitely a real life stretch big on the court and an all around Michigan fan. Painful

“Seriously tho can we honestly bump up QB accuracy?”

Favorite team: Lions

AFC East

Dolphins- Felix

Felix is weird. Nah but seriously Felix is a cool member. He knows a lot about shit nobody cares about but that's what makes him Felix. He is also our resident Frank Ocean expert and will time from time pop up in chat with something to sell. One of our more savvy eBay users.

“You know what guys, I'm gonna make my parents proud”

Favorite team: Dolphins

Patriots- Billy

Billy is just one of those guys you can't imagine not being in the league. His “idgaf” play style is something to cringe at though. Don't expect much from him unless you need a win late in the season. Then he plays like an actual player. Billy’s pretty funny and will stare down your user as he sends him a gift via airmail. Our resident “join party chat” expert, Billy can't play without speaking to others. He's a stoner tho so that's my second Caucasian nigga of the list

“What's that brah? I'll fucking beat Boswell, it's Boswell”

Favorite team: Giants

Bills- Immy

When I first met Imrann he was just Bucs. He came to my house to smoke and chill and he was still just Bucs. Now he's just constantly accused of cheesing. Immy is one of those guys that really knows the game and is good at picking apart things people don't pay attention to. Our resident “doesn't bother to read” expert, Immy has demonstrated time and time again his lack of reading skills. On a more serious note, Imrann’s also one of our better users. Nobody assumes they're going to 100% beat him so that makes him good in my book

“My bad I had a call at 2 and 2:30. What's up? You guys should invest in these stocks even though I'm taking a loss on it” *doesn’t read up*

Favorite team: Colts

Jets- Boswell

Boswell. Knew him for the better part of a year or so before he actually decided to communicate with us. Our friend across the sea, Bos has improve drastically in Madden. In previous years he was a cake walk and although most wouldn't fear playing him, he has shown his ability to win against good users. Bos is one of our resident Soccer experts that knows much about the game. He is also surprisingly aware of American politics despite living in Scotland.

“How did he get beat, that's a 93 speed CONNER”

Favorite team: Lions

AFC West

Broncos- Declan

Not much too say about this guy other than he is a diehard Broncos fan and considered getting heated shower tiles although I can't confirm whether he did or not. Our resident legal services provider, slide in those pms if you might run into a problem with the law. *coughs* Steel

“I don't think I'll ever play CPU again in this league after that shenanigans”

Favorite team: Broncos

Raiders- Steph

Steph is the brother that loves to start shit but you know deep down he's only playing. Claims to be one of the best in the league despite losing multiple big time matches. Steph is our resident trolling expert. Will troll so hard he himself doesn't realize he's trolling. He's a cool funny guy and keeps chat active

“U cant compete wit me! Bout to give dis fggt dat wrk”

Favorite team: Patriots

Chiefs- David

Don't know much about this guy either except he's a Falcons and Bulldogs fan. I assumed he was black since his gamertag was “ATOWNHEADBUSSA”. My sources confirmed I was correct

Favorite team: Falcons

Chargers- Doom

Where do I begin with Doom? Doom is like the cousin that you and him are opposites but you bond over a similar thing. For us it's Madden and the Falcons. Despite him being a cop and me being a law breaker, we're pretty cool. Plus he married a black woman so I know he's blessed. Doom is our resident cop. Calling code 3’s to make it to madden drafts in time. Stay you Doom

“I lost caz my QB was throwing picks like a tard”

AFC South

Colts- Sheffey

I don't think I've ever personally spoken to Sheffey yet I know he's in the military and has a daughter and still finds time to give folks the beats in Madden. Never an easy game against him it appears. On a serious note, thanks for what you do for our country. It enables people like me to write articles like this freely

Jags- BTG

BTG aka BigTimeGarcia aka Ass Clap Water. BTG is a family man as you will often hear his kids in the background while he's on Madden. He's more of your “any given Sunday” user as he most expect to beat him but he is liable to pull off a few upsets guaranteed. Also a smoker so we cool

“Eli Manning the best QB, yaw tripping”

Favorite team: Giants

Titans- Mike

Mike Dups. Confirmed worst FIFA teammate of all time but is a pretty good Madden player. Will ask some of the most irregular questions known to mankind. Syracuse grad so shout out to you Mike, shit ain't easy. Known for his sprinkles of cheddar here and there but overall is a hassle to beat. His baldness at such a young age should teach us all to love our hair. We never know when it's our time.

“So who wants to hear the moth joke?” *leaves Xbox party*

Favorite team: Steelers

Texans- Steel

Steel is my bae. Hate him so much I ended up loving him. Can honestly say he's dedicated to the leagues as he will try to police shit and does his commish duties. One of the better users, Steel has a knack for choking in big games. If you mention Steel and playoffs in the same sentence I think of Reggie Miller clutching his throat. It's all love tho. Steel is our resident firefighting expert as he will see some extremely disturbing shit and think for some reason that we want to have that visual image as well. 50+ INTs tho cmon bro get it together I expect you back in the playoff hunt. Also our Tinder and Bumble expert.

“I'm the best user in the league”

Favorite team: Steelers

AFC North

Browns- Oz

I fucking love Oz. Oz is one of the few guys I honestly couldn't imagine not having in the league. Between his helmet pics and real life antics we love Oz like the Uncle that comes over and call you in the corner before he leaves and slides you a $20 bill. Oz is our resident PAWG expert. He can show you how to get them or how to swerve them. Also our golf dress attire expert. Stay blessed Oz!

“At a wedding secretly thinking about my two top 10 draft picks”

Favorite team: Redskins

Bengals- Aaron

Capa's my brother y'all know this. One of the most up and down players I've ever seen. Can easily go from a 12-4 season to a 4-12 season but still keeps pushing. Aaron's one of the black guys in our league and is hard to find in chat at times. Our resident madden bullshit expert, Aaron can make you feel like you were the most undeserving person to win ever.

“Cmon Madden! That's bullshit!”

Favorite team: Broncos

Ravens- Knashville

Knash is one of those guys I enjoy playing. He’s decent at best but still has fun playing. A person that hangs with a smoker so we're def cool and if Halpin is Jermaine Kearse then he's probably Tyler Lockett or another Seattle WR. Our resident “Halp can you tell Knashville to play” expert, sometimes scheduling is a pain but he won't duck.

Favorite team: Giants

Steelers- Matt Millen

Matt Millen is just flat out Matt Millen. In school, has a kid, finds time to play madden SOME OF THE TIME and is a usual to hold up advance. Matts a pretty good player and can hold his own in the league. He is our resident dirt road expert. He can fix even the meanest of potholes in a jiffy

“I got nine dee three speeeeeeeed”

Favorite team: Falcons
