Coach Lando's Giants are going nto the offseason coming off a league worst 1-15 record. Despite the teams' record Coach Lando continues to echo the sentiment of "the teams record does not reflect the talent on this team and what were capable of, 2020 is going to be different" The moves so far this offseason show that may just be the case. The Giants were said to go into this offseason to make moves that would appease Saquon. They did just that by bringing in Dak Prescott to replace Jones who struggled to break 1,000 yds and the great Eli Manning who threw 6 TDS & 10 Ints this past season. Giants also brought in an elite OL in Brandon Brooks to help bolster the front line. The biggest move in Lando's eyes was snagging Darby. Coach Lando took multiple subliminal shots at rookie CB Deandre Baker and Darby all year last season blaming him for secondary miscues leading to embarrassing blowouts. Darby seems to be a colossal upgrade.
With the offense looking pretty set the Giants appear likely to focus on defense the draft. Sources say the Giants have narrowed it down to two prospects to decide on with to No. 1 Pick. Rumored to be between Yates out of Auburn and Davis from OK State. Even before the draft, on paper this team looks like it's gonna be a problem next season. We'll just have to see how many typos this paper has.
Sitting at 1-8 the Giants are in familiar territory with another losing almost in the books. Bando Lando even as far as to say this is the best team he’ ever had and even promised a playoff run. Looking back on that he still stands by his word, except for the playoff part. Going on to say “ I may have but off a little more than I can chew, but I’m HUNGRY can u blame me” he said jokingly. There have even been rumors of Saquon Barkley being unhappy with the teams performance and the direction they’re heading in. He may have even sparked those rumors by arriving to the postgame press conference wearing a t shirt featuring Barry Sanders. His career thus far is giving off Barry Sanders-esque vibes with another stellar season for a subpar team. Lando even addressed that speculation saying “ This is without doubt Saquons team and the only way to make him happy and keep him happy is to build around him and improve the team as well as develop Saquon. This offseason Saquon will have huge day on who Saquon plays with and not just on the offensive side of the ball.” With seven games left the Giants will use these games to see who sticks around for Saquons Giants next season

KEY DRAFT SELECTONS
Coach Bando Lando and the Jags went into the offseason wanting to address the running game from all angles and do minor touch ups to the defense. The Fournette when healthy was great but that was rare and his backups did little in his absence. Letting Grant and Yeldon walk left a void at depth for the HB position. Jacksonville’s solution was to bring in a slew of HBs through the draft, 3 to be exact. Kion Streetertoit of Bama is getting rave reviews early. The Jags early stages of this new look team should be interesting. Open competitions at the QB and HB positions to go with the arsenal of weapons at WR should make for a fun preseason.
Jaguars vs Giants was a tale of two halves by the Jaguars. In a game plagued by turnovers the Jags simply struggled in the 1st half. Blake Bortles lead the way with 6 1st half turnovers. The main reason for the Jags ability to keep the game close was the presence of the Jags defense. Coach Lando praised the Jags defense adding “We are defined by our grit”
The offense looked totally different in the 2nd half with the Jaguars rushing attack taking fotm. Fournette, Lacy, and Grant all made impacts on the as the 2nd half.
When asked if Blake Bortles will start next week Coach Lando simply replied “ I don’t see why not”
The Jaguars wanted to address two things this offseason. Those two things were their defense as a whole and their OL to help out with the run game.
Free Agency
The Jaguars brought in LG Mike Pouncey and RT Ereck Flowers to address our needs at OL. We also brought in HB CJ Anderson to bring in to bring depth to the HB position for insurance for Fournette who has been plagued with injuries the past two seasons. We also added LB Denzel Perryman for defensive help.
2020 Draft
Notable Draft selections were #6 overall pick DT Tre Stone, SS Russell Curry and LE Larry Colston, all believed to be Day 1 starters. Coach Lando says he “likes the direction the team is heading, we just can’t get lost along the wayk
Season Outlook
One thing to watch will be the QB competition with Chandler and Garropolo. Also the situation with Jalen Ramsey who is gettin the Kirk Cousins treatment.
Jaguars Season Recap
Jimmy Garrapolo
The “Jimmy Jaguaropollo” experiment was hit n miss this season. We traded our best linebacker for our QB of the future. Even though he was outplayed this season by a 5th round rookie we still plan to stick with him. The injury plagued season for Fournette n Westbrook slowed down our O this season.
Free Agency
The biggest question surrounding free agency is where will Jalen Ramsey play next season. With Ramsey set to hit free agency he has already ended contract negotiations with the Jaguars. Rumors are the relationship has soured and both will move on.The Jaguars are deep enough at corner to let him walk, but will they? Jags could still tag Ramsey but as of right now that’s highly unlikely.
Draft
The Jaguars have a plan in place for the draft. Picking early in the draft for yet another season the Jags have a chance to make this deep team even deeper. Getting younger faster and durable players is our draft strategy
A week after bouncing back against the Saints, the Jags looked really bad again. Jacksonville’s record now stands at 1-2. The Jaguars once again failed to execute on offense after Fournette left the early for the 2nd time this season. “We’re still finding ourselves, that’s all I can say.”
"We played football for the 1st half, and we played soft for the 2nd. I've got to do a better job of putting my players in position 2 win. If we cant start playin like were capable of playing maybe its time to find some new leaders. Our rookie played a solid game so Lucas Chandler is still our QB for the foreseeable future. We're definitely not having another 1-15 season so we're not panicking "" -Coach Lando
