MSR M24 Season 3 Predictions

Here are the season 3 predictions by MSR.

Thank you to all those that voted. % of votes in ( ):

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Broncos (25%)
  2. Bears (20.8%)
  3. Ravens/Eagles (12.5%)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Broncos (41.7%)
  2. Bears (25%)
  3. Eagles (12.5%)

The Broncos are predicted to repeat as Champions but this time against the Chicago Bears.

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Ravens (37.5%)
  2. Broncos (29.2%)
  3. Eagles (20.8%)

These 3 are among the top contenders for the Super Bowl in large part because of their dynamic offenses. Each has playmakers at every level making them hard to stop.

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Bears (29.2%)
  2. Broncos (25%)
  3. Seahawks (12.5%)

The predicted Super Bowl participants have stout defenses, and as the old saying goes, defense wins championships.

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bears (100%)
  2. Seahawks/Eagles (95.8%)
  3. Cowboys (91.7%)
  4. Commanders (79.2%)
  5. Bucs/Rams (58.3%)

There seems to be large confidence in 5 of the NFC playoff teams with the uncertainty coming down to the last 2. The Cardinals and the Panthers being the closest runner ups.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Broncos (100%)
  2. Ravens (95.8%)
  3. Chargers (79.2%)
  4. Colts (75%)
  5. Titans (70.8%)
  6. Bills (66.7%)
  7. Pats (37.5%)

Much less confidence in who will make the AFC playoffs, especially when it comes to the 7th spot. 6 teams were within 20% of the Pats.

My Favorite Type of Victory in MSR is:

  1. Defensive Slugfest (37.5%)
  2. Game winning score/play (33.3%)
  3. Blowing out opponent (20.8%)
  4. High scoring shootout (8.3%)

Maybe a surprise to some, the majority of users prefer to be in a low scoring or very close game as opposed to winning easily or in a shootout.

If I had to lose, I'd rather it be:

  1. High scoring shootout (54.2%)
  2. Defensive slugfest/At the final moments of the game (20.8%)
  3. By getting blown out (4.2%)

Almost the opposite of how people want to win. It apperas people don't mind losing when their offense is playing well. If their defense is playing well though, it seems people really want to play. As getting stops in Madden can be tough at times.

Thanks to all those that voted. How did MSR do on their predictions?

M24 Season 1 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 2 preseason predictions. Sorry for the extended delay on this, a combination of being sick and busy was not ideal.

Super Bowl Winner:

1. Eagles (47%)

2. Bears/Ravens (17%)

Super Bowl Loser:

1. Broncos (41%)

2. Ravens (17%)

3. Bills/Bears/Eagles (11%)

Looks like MSR predicts the Eagles to go back to back but this time, defeating the Denver Broncos.

Highest Scoring Team:

1. Ravens (76%)

2. Eagles (11%)

3. Bucs/Broncos (6%)

The Ravens have shown they can put up points against anyone. They are a huge favorite to lead the league in scoring once again.

Least Points Allowed:

1. Broncos (35%)

2. Browns/Commanders/Panthers/Bears (11%)

3. Cowboys/Eagles/Packers (6%)

The Broncos traded away their star corner and yet still are the favorite for least amount of points allowed!

NFC Playoff Teams:

1. Bears/Eagles (94%)

2. Commanders/Bucs (82%)

3. Packers/Seahawks (59%)

4. Cardinals (53%)

Much less confidence this year in who will make the NFC playoffs. The Cowboys actually tied with the Cardinals at 53% but only the Cardinals are listed due to being the highest ranked NFC West team.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1. Ravens (100%)

2. Broncos (94%)

3. Bills/Colts (82%)

4. Dolphins (76%)

5. Pats (71%)

6. Bengals (65%)

The AFC seems to be very top heavy, with 8 teams receiving at least 53% of the vote but only 9 receiving at least 18%. The AFC appears to have 9 teams fighting fo 7 spots.

Best Chance to Go from Worst to First:

1. Pats (47%)

2. Seahawks (18%)

3. Falcons/Lions (12%)

While the Pats won the preseason vote, it appears the Seahawks, Texans and Steelers may have been the better votes. With each of those 3 currently or almost leading their division.

Momentum in Madden:

1. Is a good idea but has some wacky ones in it so it should be turned off in MSR (41%)

2. Has some wacky ones in it but doesn't take away from the good in it and should be left on in MSR (35%)

3. Is bad and needs to be turned off/Is great and needs no changing (12%)

This has been something that is mentioned often in suggestions so I wanted to see what people thought. Overall, it appears most people think there is some issues with momentum but it's pretty even on if those issues are big enough or not to warrant a change.

For those that said they would be interested in a survivor pool, I will probably get with you either this offseason or shortly before the playoffs.

Once again, sorry for the delay in posting but the results have been final for awhile not so no worries that people were still voting this late or anything.

M24 Season 1 and Cycle Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 1 and overall cycle predictions for MSR. Thanks to all those that voted.

Super Bowl Winner:

1. Eagles (75%)

2. Jags/Jets/Packers/Ravens/Broncos (5%)

Super Bowl Loser:

1. Bills (40%)

2. Eagles (20%)

3. Ravens (15%)

All but 1 person selected the Eagles to make the Super Bowl, with nearly everyone picking them to win. I don't think there's ever been this much of a consensus on who will win it all. The Bills seem to be the favorite to match up vs them in the Super Bowl.

Highest Scoring Team:

1. Eagles (55%)

2. Ravens (20%)

3. Seahawks/Bills/Broncos/Chargers/Dolphins (5%)

With talent at every position on offense. It's hard not to see why people would pick the Eagles.

Least Points Allowed:

1. Broncos (20%)

2. Bears/Eagles (15%)

3. Browns/Cowboys/Packers (10%)

With some big playmakers on defense, the Broncos defense will be tested often vs some loaded AFC West offenses.

NFC Playoff Teams:

1. Bears/Eagles (100%)

2. Panthers (85%)

3. Packers/Seahawks (75%)

4. Cowboys/Commanders (70%)

There were 8 teams fighting for the 7 spots with a big drop off in votes after that. It'll be interesting to see how accurace this turns out ot be.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1. Ravens (95%)

2. Bills (90%)

3. Dolphins (80%)

4. Broncos (75%)

5. Chargers (65%)

6. Colts (50%)

7. Chiefs OR Titans (40%)

There was significantly less consenus on who makes the AFC playoffs. Every team received at least 1 vote. All but 3 teams had at least 20% too!

What division will combine for the most wins:

1. NFC East (65%)

2. NFC North (15%)

3. AFC North (10%)

Only 15% of the votes went to AFC divisions. Does this make the NFC the superior conference?

Cycle Predictions (based on what team they are in M24):

Most Improved User from M23:

1. Chiefs (30%)

2. Jets/Dolphins/Panthers (10%)

3. 8 teams tied (5%)

With an elite QB to start, big things are expected this year from Ice.

User that takes the biggest stepback from M23:

1. Seahawks (25%)

2. Broncos (20%)

3. Cards/Ravens (10%)

I'd say this would be a surprise but if you saw the M24 superlative results, you'd see how this is no surprise at all. Will these users prove the doubters wrong???

Teams Most Likely to Win at least 1 Super Bowl:

1. Eagles (90%)

2. Broncos (80%)

3. Bills (75%)

Nearly every participant believes the Eagles will win at least 1 Super Bowl this cycle. Will the Eagles let the pressure get to them though?

Teams Most Likely to Win multiple Super Bowls:

1. Eagles (60%)

2. None (25%)

3. Bills/Broncos (20%)

Not only are the Eagles expected to win at least 1 Super Bowl, most think they'll win multiple! With talent at every position, they'll certainly be in a great position to do this.

Most Undervalued Teams in Team Selection:

1. Chiefs (45%)

2. Bills (30%)

3. 5 tied (5%)

Both of these teams have elite QBs to start. While they aren't without issues, maybe people looked too much at what these teams didn't have, instead of just focusing on what they did have.

Most Overvalued Teams in Team Selection:

1. Texans (35%)

2. Seahawks (20%)

3. Bears/49ers (10%)

For the 2nd straight cycle, the Texans come out on top. Some people just love to rebuild teams, while others see that as a head-scratcher.

Thanks to all who voted! How did MSR do? Which prediction is least likely to happen?

M23 MSR Superlatives

Here are the results of the M23 Superlatives! Thank you to all those that voted.

Who was the Best Passer?

  • Winner: Bengals
  • Runner-Up: Eagles

Who was the Best Runner?

  • Winner: Cowboys
  • Runner-Up: Ravens

Who had the Best Overall Offense?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Bengals

The Bengals win for best passing game. While the Cowboys just barely edge out for best runner. However, the Eagles win the best offense likely due to their dominance in both passing and rushing. A balanced offense that became incredibly hard to stop.

Who had the Best Run Defense?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Cards

Who had the Best Pass Defense?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Saints

Who had the Best Overall Defense?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Cards

Voted both the best run and pass defense, the Eagles were a dominant defense all around. With insane talent all across the board, it's no surprise they were tough to do anything against. Despite winning both the run and pass defense, the overall defensive vote was actually closer than you'd expect.

Who was the Luckiest User this Cycle?

  • Winner: Saints
  • Runner-Up: Eagles

I can't speak on why the Saints one but apparently people think they may have caught some breaks along the way this cycle. Maybe folks didn't like Rosen killing it.

What team was Most Likely to Come Back From a Big Deficit?

  • Winner: Raiders
  • Runner-Up: Jets

The Raiders were among the most explosive teams this cycle. With playmakers everywhere, they could often score in a hurry if they needed to. Making them always a team you could never count out.

What team Would You Least Like to Be Down Big Early Against?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Bengals

Both insanely good offenses, you didn't want to get down early vs them because you knew you may never stop their offenses.

Best GM of the Cycle?

  • Winner: Raiders
  • Runner-Up: Eagles

You don't have a team like the Raiders became because they started that way. Rather it was trades, draft picks or free agents, the Raiders always seemed to make excellent moves each season.

What User Overperformed the Most?

  • Winner: Vikings
  • Runner-Up: Cowboys

Kolb had his best cycle yet of MSR. Some people seem to think he did too good. Kolb will have M24 to prove that he is for real, and maybe even with the.......

What User Underperformed the Most?

  • Winner: Jags
  • Runner-Up: Cards

The Jags did not have the cycle many people expected them to have. Often flailing out of the playoffs early. They will have M24 to get back on the right track.

Who was the Most Frustrating User to Play?

  • Winner: Cards
  • Runner-Up: Chi

This one wasn't even close, with the Cards the only team with a consistent support of voters. It may be because they seemed to always know what the opponent was calling at all times.

Throughout the cycle, who would you say had the Most Stacked Team?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Bengals

They teams had great success this cycle. However, they also had equally great teams. Both squads had little, if anything, opponents could try to exploit in their matchups.

What Team Did You Least Want to Win?

  • Winner: Eagles/Bengals
  • Runner-Up: Cards

Our first tie so far (more on that later), I can't speak for exactly why people choose these teams. Maybe they didn't like how talented their teams were.

Other than yourself, What Team Did You Most Want to Win?

  • Winner: Chargers
  • Runner-Up: Raiders

Another really close vote, the Chargers are one of the face cam streamers in the league. Which can often make that person easier to vote for.

What Team Was the Most One-Dimensional?

  • Winner: Chargers
  • Runner-Up: Cowboys

2 of the best runners show up here. These teams wanted to pound the rock all game and didn't care if you knew. If you couldn't stop the run, you surely had a tough time vs these guys.

What user would you love to be in a division with in M24:

  • Winner: Packers
  • Runner-Up: Chargers

Both face cam streamers here, people often like playing these opponents so they can go and see how they reacted after they play. Not to mention, both easy guys to schedule with.

What user would you hate to be in a division with in M24:

  • Winner: Eagles/Bengals
  • Runner-Up: Jets

I can't speak on why for this one but it may have something to do with the question regarding the team you least wanted to win.

Who Was Your Biggest Rival This Cycle?

  • Winner: Bengals
  • Runner-Up: Saints/Eagles

One of the most intimidating users in all of MSR, HOF was many people's top rival. If you're not with the sheets, you may be a rival of his.

Who Was The Best Overall User This Cycle?

  • Winner: Eagles
  • Runner-Up: Raiders

For the 1st time since Madden 20, there were 3 users that got significant votes for 1st place. With the Eagles ultimately coming out on top, thanks in a large part to being very consistent all cycle.

Best Primetime Commentator?

  • Winner: Timbo
  • Runner-Up: A1

A great commentator knows when to get excited, when to stay calm and has superb timing. All of this qualities and more, describe Timbo. It's hard not to get excited when you see Timbo is calling a game.

User with the Best Twitter?

  • Winner: Cowboys
  • Runner-Up: Jets

The Cowboys always gave a lot of great information through their twitter. They were also very supportive of what others put out as well.

User with the Best Graphics?

  • Winner: Raiders
  • Runner-Up: Bills

Not only did they win their 1st 2 titles in their MSR, but the Raiders put out some excellent graphics as well.

User with the Best Content?

  • Winner: Falcons/Bills/Bengals
  • Runner-Up: Jets/Seattle

Lots of different people were given recognition here. All 5 of these teams deserve a job well done after a great year of valuable contributions to the community.

Newcomeer of the Cycle?

  • Winner: Ice
  • Runner-Up: Loaded/Chino

Ice was a great addition to the community. Rather it be his face cam games, his content, or even him calling games. Can't wait to see what he can do with a full cycle under him.

If MSR did a fantasy draft, what player would you take #1:

  • Winner: Patrick Mahomes

While a few players received a couple votes, Mahomes was the clear constant answer. Who wouldn't want to use the best QB in the game.

What is 1 thing you'd change about MSR:

    • Get rid of the real life draft class at end of cycle. Do something new

    • The no huddle rule

    • Limit similar concepts with different names

    • Unsure at this moment

    • back to stocks

    • Remove HFA/XFs

    • Not allowed to call same versions of defense back to back

    • stricter play call rules

    • No run it up rule

    • No abilities

    • More up-tempo offenses

    • No abilities

    • N/A

    • 4th down rules

    • Stricter play call rules , no cheese spamming

    • No abilities

    • No hot route restrictions

    • Hot route rule

    • Stricter Enforcement!

    • Nothing

    • Use play all limit selector set at 2

    • I dont have a list that would fit here

    • Less strict contract trading situations

    • QB Sneaks should be allowed to be used more than once in a row, especially at the goal line.

    • Stricter punishments for player usage

    • Playmaker

    • 1 play call on offense. Really dig into some strategy with our playbooks

On a scale of 1-5 (1=best 5 =worst), how much did you like the team you picked:

  • With a 2.9 average, users slight favored not liking their team. Most of the votes being 1 or 5, as it was much of a love hate relationship for users.

The All-Cycle game would be coming soon (would of been today if this didn't get deleted first time I did this.

For those that think their vote might not matter. Between when I did this yesterday and today, 1 more user completed the poll. Just that 1 person, changed 3 different answers, that's how close some of these were.

There you have it. How did the league do? What did they get wrong? Want to know more about the voting and all, just tag or message me and I can give some more info out but I keep all answers from users confidential (so don't ask what a specific person said).

M23 MSR Season 7 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 7 (5 since restart) predictions for MSR. Thanks to all those that voted.

Super Bowl Winner:

1. Raiders/Saints (26.7%)

2. Eagles/Cards (13.3%)

3. Steelers/Lions/Ravens (6.7%)

Super Bowl Loser:

1. Eagles/Raiders (33.3%)

2. Bengals (20%)

3. Chiefs/Saints (6.7%)

MSR is predicting a Raiders vs Eagles Super Bowl with the Raiders coming out on top. The Raiders are aiming at a chance at their 3 consecutive championship.

Highest Scoring Team:

1. Raiders (26.7%)

2. Saints/Ravens/Bengals (20%)

3. Lions/Eagles (6.7%)

It's no surprise that all of these teams received a vote to win the Super Bowl. As they have incredibly hard offenses to stop.

Least Points Allowed:

1. Eagles (40%)

2. Cards (26.7%)

3. Jets/Saints/Steelers/Bengals/Broncos (6.7%)

A big reason for the Eagles and Cards recent success is due to their stifling defenses.

NFC Playoff Teams:

1. Eagles/Saints (100%)

2. Cardinals (93.3%)

3. Bears (86.7%)

4. Lions (66.7%)

5. Rams (60%)

6. Panthers (46.7%)

Despite his best season ever last year, there was very little confidence in Kolb to return to the playoffs. One can only wonder why that is.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1. Bengals (100%)

2. Jags (93.3%)

3. Raiders (86.7%)

4. Jets (80%)

4. Bills (66.7%)

5. Ravens (60%)

6. Chiefs (53.3%)

7. Steelers (46.7%)

Despite back to back Super Bowl wins, some aren't so sure the Raiders will even make the playoffs this year. Which is very surprising especially considering the bottom half of the AFC playoffs has little confidence to it.

Most Improved User:

1. Browns

2. Chiefs

Both with newer users, an offseason plus a full regular season could be just what these 2 teams need to show what they're really about.

How did MSR do? What did they get wrong? What did they get right?

2023-04-10

M23 MSR Season 5 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 5 (3 since restart) predictions for MSR. Thanks to all those that voted.

Super Bowl Winner:

1. Eagles (20%)

2. Raiders/Bengals (16%)

3. Patriots/Chiefs/Saints (8%)

Super Bowl Loser:

1. Eagles (48%)

2. Chiefs/Bengals/Patriots (12%)

3. Panthers (8%)

It appears MSR is predicting a Eagles vs Bengals Super Bowl, as they had the most total votes to make the Super Bowl. The Eagles seem to be a slight favorite to come out on top.

Highest Scoring Team:

1. Ravens (44%)

2. Benglas (20%)

3. Eagles (16%)

The Ravens have stars all over their offense. With the amount of star power they have, few teams can consistently light it up like they will be able to.

Least Points Allowed:

1. Eagles (20%)

2. Jets (16%)

3. Bengals (12%)

Despite losing Sauce Gardner in the offseason, they may have actually improved their secondary with the addition of Kevin Byrad. Both great talent and coaching make the Jets defense one that offenses won't have a fun time facing.

NFC Playoff Teams:

1. Saints (100%)

2. Eagles (96%)

3. Cardinals (91%)

4. Panthers (72%)

5. Rams (68%)

6. Bucs (64%)

7. Bears or Packers (53%)

6 of the 7 NFC playoff teams seem to have clear favorites. However, who will win the NFC North is really up in the air. With the Bears and Packers leading the charge but all 4 of which got some support.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1. Bengals (100%)

2. Raiders (96%)

3. Jags (92%)

4. Ravens/Chiefs (84%)

5. Patriots (80%)

6. Jets (32%

I'm not sure I've ever seen this big of a disparity between the 6th and 7th seed of the playoffs. The top 6 teams are clear but there seems to be no confidence after that. A lot of teams hovering within the 20-30% range.

Most Improved User:

1. Dolphins (16%)

2. Jets/Colts/Bills (12%)

3. Broncos/Vikings/Steelers (8%)

Lots of teams getting votes here. The biggest common denominator seems to be teams that acquired new QBs. It may come down to what team improved their QB play the most.

QB From Real Life Draft That Will Have the Most Success:

1. Hendan Hooker - Dolphins (48%)

2. Bryce Young - Colts (32%)

3. Anthony Richardson - Broncos/Dorian Thompson Robinson - Chargers (8%)

Like mentioned previously, the Dolphins just got a new QB and that is a big reason people expect a big improvement from them this year.

Which Conference Will Have More Wins:

1. I'm in the AFC and think the AFC will have more (44%)

2. I'm in the NFC and think the NFC will have more (36%)

3. I'm in the NFC and think the AFC will have more (16%)

4. I'm in the AFC and think the AFC will have more (4%)

Most people picked their own conference to be better. However, more NFC users believe in the AFC than vice versa. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

How did MSR do? What did they get wrong? What did they get right?

M23 MSR Season 4 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 4 (2 since restart) predictions for MSR. Thanks to all those that voted.

Super Bowl Winner:

1. Eagles

2. Bills/Raiders

3. 5 way tie

Super Bowl Loser:

1. Bills/Eagles

2. 5 way tie

MSR is predicting a rematch of last year's Super Bowl with the Eagles facing off against the Bills. With the Eagles predicted to come away with another title.

Highest Scoring Team:

1. Eagles

2. Ravens

3. 5 way tie

With some changes in the offseason, The Eagles are looked to be a dangerous offense. Adding Mike Evants into that offense while make it awfully difficult to make stops.

Least Points Allowed:

1. Eagles

2. 9 way tie

The only consistency here is that the Eagles are believed to have a very good defense. Their dominant defensive line can make it a nightmare for offenses, not allowing them to get anything going.

NFC Playoff Teams:

1. Eagles

2. Cardinals

3. Packers/Saints

4. Lions

5. Bucs

6. Falcons or Panthers

A tie for the last spot in the NFC, expect the wild card race to be very highly contested this year.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1. Bills

2. Chiefs

3. Raiders/Ravens

4. Bengals/Browns

5. Dolphins, Jaguars or Patriots

The AFC had to one up the NFC, with a 3 way tie for the final spot! The AFC is going to be a heated battle with every week counting. Although, it appears there is little confidence in the Colts making it back to the postseason despite a fantastic showing last season.

How did MSR do? Will we get a Super Bowl rematch? Will the Ravens keep surging after last season's late surge? What other story lines do you look forward to seeing this season?

M23 MSR Season 1 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 1 predictions for MSR. (# of votes in () )

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Eagles (10)

  2. Jags/Commanders/Raiders (2)

  3. Many others (1)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Bengals (6)

  2. Bucs/Eagles/Pats (3)

  3. Bills/Raiders (2)

This year's Super Bowl prediction is between the Eagles and Bengals with the Eagles coming out on top.

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Eagles (8)

  2. Ravens (7)

  3. Jags (3)

With an absolutely stacked offense, it's hard to imagine the Eagles putting up big numbers.

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Eagles (7)

  2. Bucs (3)

  3. Jags/Pats/Bengals/Bills (2)

With a dominant defensive line, it will be hard for offenses to move the chains vs the Eagles.

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Eagles (22)

  2. Bucs (20)

  3. Cardinals (19)

  4. Commanders (16)

  5. Lions (15)

  6. Panthers (12)

  7. Saints or Packers (10)

A tie for the 7th team in! The NFC playoff race could get very interseting this year with so many perennial playoff teams.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bengals (22)

  2. Raiders (20)

  3. Jags/Bills (18)

  4. Chiefs (15)

  5. Dolphins (13)

  6. Pats (12)

Everyone seems to be pretty confident on who will win each division in the AFC but after that is where things seem to get pretty intriguing.

Who benefitted most from restarting:

  1. Chiefs (5)

  2. Eagles (4)

  3. Jags (3)

Going from a bad QB situation to Patrick Mahomes is not a bad upgrade at all.

Who benefitted the least from restarting:

  1. Texans (5)

  2. Panthers (4)

  3. Jets (3)

While going from the Browns to the Texans is likely a rough transition. I can't quite figure out why people think the Panthers lose so much from restarting.

Who upgraded the most in the redraft:

  1. Muk- Commanders to Chiefs (6)

  2. Rev- Steelers to Bucs/Bear- Cardinals to Chargers (5)

  3. Diesel- Giants to Cowboys (4)

3 of these 4 teams have 1 thing in common. They had massive upgrades at the QB position. It always helps

when you can get guys in open stride with ease.

Who downgraded the most in the redraft:

  1. Daaveed- Browns to Texans (13)

  2. Tim- Chiefs to Jets (6)

  3. Taco- Bucs to Jags (2)

While it seems obvious that Daaveed definitely downgraded. The real question is why he even wanted the Texans in the first place. I suppose he did not learn from Red.

M23 MSR Season 3 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 3 predictions for MSR. (# of votes in () )

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Eagles/Raiders (5)

  2. Cowboys (2)

  3. Many others (1)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Bills/Cowboys (4)

  2. Bengals (3)

  3. Eagles (2)

This year's Super Bowl prediction features the Eagles and Raiders. There is no clear winner since they both had the same # of votes to win it all.

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Ravens/Raiders (4)

  2. Bengals (3)

  3. Dolphins/Eagles (2)

The Raiders have found their franchise QB and with it have become one of the most dangerous offenses in the league!

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Chargers (4)

  2. Eagles (3)

  3. Cowboys/Lions (2)

The Chargers have one of the most dangerous pass rushes in the league. Expect heavy pressure all game long vs them.

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Eagles (18)

  2. Cowboys (17)

  3. Panthers (16)

  4. Bucs (15)

  5. Lions (12)

  6. Rams (10)

  7. 49ers (8)

The 49ers are expected to make their 1st playoff berth of the cycle. Meanwhile the confidence in the Panthers appears to soar!

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bengals (17)

  2. Chargers (16)

  3. Raiders (15)

  4. Bills (13)

  5. Titans (12)

  6. Chiefs (11)

  7. Dolphins (10)

Despite winning the Super Bowl this year, the Steelers are predicted to NOT make the playoffs. It appears people think Brady meant that much to the team.

M23 MSR Season 2 Predictions

Here are MSR’s Season 1 predictions for MSR. (# of votes in () )

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Eagles (9)

  2. Cowboys (5)

  3. Chargers (3)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Eagles (6)

  2. Bills (4)

  3. Chargers/Cowboys/Ravens (3)

This year's Super Bowl prediction is the same as last year's! With the Eagles projected to beat the Chargers.

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Ravens (11)

  2. Eagles (6)

  3. Bills (3)

With Lamar hopefully back for the whole season, the Eagles will be one of the toughest offenses to stop. Not to mention, their 3 headed monster of a backfield.

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Eagles (12)

  2. Cowboys (5)

  3. Chargers (3)

Lots of defense in the NFC East!

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Eagles (26)

  2. Cowboys (24)

  3. Bucs/Seahawks (23)

  4. Saints (18)

  5. Lions/Commanders (14)

Despite not making it last season, the Saints and Seahawks have a lot of faith in MSR to make the playoffs in season 2.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bengals (25)

  2. Bills/Chargers (24)

  3. Ravens (22)

  4. Broncos (18)

  5. Dolphins (14)

  6. Raiders (13)

After a Super Bowl apperance, the expectations for the Bengals seem to have shot through the roof. How well they respond?

Who is your favorite face cam streamer? (Bonus Question)

  1. Payne
  2. YK/Muk
  3. Kolb/Timbo

These users games can be even more entertaining as you can see their live reactions, commentary, etc. At the moment, Payne is the MSR favorite face cam streamer.

M23 MSR Season 1 and Cycle Predictions

Thank you to everyone for participating!

Here are MSR’s Season 1 predictions for MSR. (# of votes in () )

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Eagles (11)

  2. Ravens (3)

  3. Chargers/Rams (2)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Chargers (6)

  2. Eagles (4)

  3. Dolphins (3)

The Eagles and Chargers are this year’s Super Bowl prediction, with the Eagles coming out on top. Both these users were in the same division last cycle too!

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Eagles (7)

  2. Ravens (6)

  3. Raiders/Dolphins/Broncos (2)

While the AFC dominated this, it was actually an NFC team, the Eagles, that come out in the top spot.

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Eagles (10)

  2. Bills (3)

  3. Titans (2)

Part of what makes the Eagles a Super Bowl contender is that they are a very balanced team.

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Eagles/Rams (2)

  2. Bucs (19)

  3. Lions (14)

  4. Cowboys (13)

  5. Commanders/49ers (12)

These 7 teams were well ahead of everyone. It seems MSR as a whole is pretty confident these will be the 7 NFC playoff teams, we’ll have to see how that turns out.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bills/Chargers (20)

  2. Ravens (18)

  3. Titans/Dolphins (16)

  4. Raiders (12)

  5. Chiefs (10)

With the Bills and Dolphins getting so many votes, it appears the AFC East could be a very fun race to watch this season.

Team with the Biggest Difference Between their Floor and Ceiling:

  1. Chiefs (3)

  2. Colts/Texans/Ravens (2)

  3. Many Teams (1)

Not much agreement in this one but the Chiefs come out on top. It appears no one really knows what to expect from them this season.

Now here are the Cycle predictions for M23.

Most Improved Team from M22 (based on current team):

  1. Packers (4)

  2. Colts (3)

  3. Cowboys/Bengals/49ers (2)

It seems like Steiner has others with faith in him that he’ll be much more successful now that he has a team to start the cycle with.

Team that takes the Biggest Stepback from M22:

  1. Seahawks (5)

  2. Chargers (3)

  3. Ravens/Titans/Texans (2)

While the Chargers have a lot of supporters for year 1, it appears most people think they’ll actually have a worse cycle this Madden.

Most Likely to Win at least 1 Super Bowl:

  1. Eagles (19)

  2. Chargers (13)

  3. Bills/Bucs/Dolphins/Ravens (7)

It seems like there might be a big split on how people think the Chargers will do this cycle.

Most Likely to Win multiple Super Bowls:

  1. Eagles (15)

The Eagles were the only team that had more than 1 vote. 5 other teams received a vote but it appears there’s way more confidence in Philly than anyone else.

Team Overvalued the Most in Team Selection:

  1. Seahawks (13)

  2. Texans (5)

  3. Chiefs/Eagles (1)

Unfortunately, not many people think the Seahawks were a great decision at the very top of the draft. We’ll have to see if Payne can back up the selection. Sometimes it’s about having fun more than it is winning though.

Team Undervalued the Most in Team Selection:

  1. Bills (9)

  2. Bucs (3)

  3. Rams (2)

I think the people that picked the Bucs meant to have them in the overvalued. Rumor has it, their user already regrets taking them.

1 Misc. Prediction for the M23 Cycle:

  • Very few, if any, QBs will dev up due to ints.

  • Payne and Red will not regret their teams

  • Payne goes under .500

  • Lamar finally used right

  • NFC most super bowls this year

  • Saquon Barkley HOF

  • Best rb of the cycle will be a madden gen rookie

  • Lots of sacks

  • Payne really struggles for two seasons

  • Colts will win South at least once

  • The AFC will be the better conference record by end of cycle

  • Lamar Jackson gets YK in trouble with multiple infractions.

  • Lots of turbover

  • 15 QBs benched year one for INTs

  • Content will be up this cycle from last.

  • AFC wins more SBs than NFC

  • Tyler will only lose 2 division games all cycle

  • Heartless will not make the full cycle due to NCAA.

  • Kyler Murray never throws 40 ints

  • This cycle will belong to Lamar Jackson

M22 Superlatives Results

Here are the results of the M22 Superlatives! Thank you to all those that voted.

Who was the Best Passer?

  • Chicago Bears

This one was a very close race. Ultimately, the vote went to the most efficient passer this cycle. While the Bears may not put up as gaudy of passing stats as other teams. They are the best at limiting turnovers through the air.

Who was the Best Runner?

  • Tennessee Titans

This one was not so close. Everyone knew EMC would be a problem when selected the Titans. Henry ran and ran and ran and there was nothing you could do about it. He led runners in most major rushing categories. This was the most lopsided vote of ANY on the entire poll.

Who had the Best Overall Offense?

  • Chicago Bears

Once again, this one was a super close race. Despite EMC being the unquestioned runner, the top 4 contenders here were are passers, 3 of which resided in the AFC. Turnovers play a very important part in winning games and it's evident that a lot of people value passers that can limit turnovers.

Who had the Best Run Defense?

  • New England Patriots

While Ed's offense is what's talked about the most. He quietly had a very respected run defense. The AFC had some of the best runners and there's a reason Ed kept beating them.

Who had the Best Pass Defense?

  • Miami Dolphins

While some people think secondary when they first hear pass defense, Slip is largely here due to his dominating pass rush. Phillips led MSR in sacks by a solid margin and helped make the Dolphins a nightmare matchup for opposing passers.

Who had the Best Overall Defense?

  • Chicago Bears

It's not often the same person wins best overall offense and defense (not sure it's happened before) but that's what happened this year. Despite not leading in any major defensive category, Kylo is largely here because he made the plays when it counted. Whenever the Bears needed a stop or turnover, he almost always got it.

Who was the Luckiest User this Cycle?

  • New England Patriots

There's a reason they say it's better to be lucky than good. Ed won 3 titles this cycle, if he wants to prove that they were no fluke, some people will want to see some repeat performances this upcoming cycle.

What team was Most Likely to Come Back From a Big Deficit?

  • Detroit Lions

The Lions were among the most explosive teams this cycle. While it doesn't always pay off, it can lead to some very past points and in turn some big comebacks. This vote was close but ultimately went to the user who doesn't give up, no matter how bad they're down.

What team Would You Least Like to Be Down Big Early Against?

  • Chicago Bears

Holding a lead is just as important and being able to comeback from one. The Bears are largely here because they don't turn the ball over. If you got down vs the Bears, you just had to pray because Kylo wasn't going to just let you back into it.

Best GM of the Cycle?

  • Green Bay Packers

The Packers came into the cycle not having the best cap situations. However, HOF is acustomed to making great things happen from any situation. It was very rare to see HOF make a bad move. Rather it was a signing, trade, etc. HOF made the most of every opportunity.

What User Overperformed the Most?

  • New England Patriots

This one was not a close call at all. Some call it luck, some call it taking advantage of your situation. Whatever the case, it seems a lot of people don't believe in a repeat cycle for ED.

What User Underperformed the Most?

  • Detroit Lions

Despite taking the worst team at launch, Taco was still expected to do great things for the Lions. Unfortunately, he had his 1st cycle in MSR without a Super Bowl win or apperance. It seems some members in MSR do not expect a repeat cycle for Taco.

Who was the Most Frustrating User to Play?

  • New England Patriots

Depending on who you ask, will depend on what the reasoning is. However, it appears don't many people were too excited to play the Pats this cycle.

Throughout the cycle, who would you say had the Most Stacked Team?

  • Green Bay Packers

HOF didn't win best GM for nothing. His team rarely had many holes, if any. HOF had playmakers at virtually every group on the field. A truly hard team to prepare for and play against.

What Team Did You Least Want to Win?

  • Philadelphia Eagles

In a close call, the Eagles narrowly edge out in this one. While I can't speak on why exactly people voted for YK, it appears the Eagles may have more rivals than they anticipated.

Other than yourself, What Team Did You Most Want to Win?

  • Cleveland Browns

In an insanely close race, Timbo once again wins this one. There are some leagues where users don't like seeing the commish win but MSR is different. A large portion of users want to see Timbo succeed. He came close in the last season and looks to capitalize this upcoming cycle.

What Team Was the Most One-Dimensional?

  • New England PA Crossers, I mean Patriots

While the PA Crossers-Stretch combo is not one that everyone enjoys, it seemed to be a successful strategy. Just goes to show you, you can be One-Dimensional and still win it all.

If you got an Offensive Breakout, Who Would You Want it Against?

  • Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles liked to run a lot of cover 0. While this method can be very effective, it can also lead to giving up some big plays. Getting big plays was huge when trying to complete an offensive breakout.

If you got a Defensive Breakout, Who Would You Want it Against?

  • Buffalo Bills

While Kolb didn't throw as many INTs this year, he did allow more sacks. Which are huge when trying to get a defensive breakout. Despite an improvement this cycle, it seems people still believe they can put up good stats vs Kolb.

Who Was Your Biggest Rival This Cycle?

  • Carolina Panthers

Payne was the only user, where his entire division all considered the same person their biggest rival this cycle. Which is somewhat surprising considering he is one of the most well-liked users and didn't win the most games among the divisions. I think people just really enjoyed their battles with Payne this year.

Who Was The Best Overall User This Cycle?

  • New England Patriots

Typically, when someone wins 3 titles (in a row at that) and no one else has more than 1, they are a shoe-in for this. However, there were more people that got votes for this than in any cycle ever. Ultimately, ED very narrowly edged out for the win here. The 3 titles were just too much for anyone else to overcome.

Best Primetime Commentator?

  • Timbo

A great commentator knows when to get excited, when to stay calm and has superb timing. All of this qualities and more, describe Timbo. It's hard not to get excited when you see Timbo is calling a game.

User with the Best Twitter?

  • Cleveland Browns

There were few, if any, users more consistent on Twitter than Timbo. Rather it be about his most recent game, a notable signing, or something else. You could always find out what was going on with the Browns by checking their twitter.

User with the Best Graphics?

  • Seattle Seahawks

Whenever you see DaaVeed post something in League Content, you already know it's going to be spectactular before you even see it. I can't wait to see what he has in store for next cycle.

User with the Best Content?

  • Seattle Seahawks

Content can come in many different forms. It appears no matter what form it is, people loved to see what DaaVeed brought to the table. For those that were here in the beginning, DaaVeed was even pumping out content before he was even in MSR or Genesis.

Newcomeer of the Cycle?

  • DaaVeed

While there are many ways to take this question, it appears many people love what they saw from DaaVeed this cycle. Hopefully he turn in more wins next cycle because the Content is already flawless.

MSR Hall Of Fame Nominees:

  • Derrick Henry
  • Jalen Hurts
  • Jaelan Philips
  • Justin Fields
  • Tremaine Fox

The MSR Media team selected their HOFers but these are the user voted ones.

Derrick Henry: Both sides agreed on this one. He was the dominant runner this cycle and carried the Titans offense. The Titans ended up with the highest team score (Per HOF) and Henry was by far their best player.

Jalen Hurts: He did not make the Media team's HOF. However, he had overwhelming support from the users and wasn't even close to notmaking it. Maybe that's a little recency bias but you can't deny what Hurts did this cycle. He balled out.

Jaelan Philips: He made both teams and is the lone defender on this list. The HOF has typically been majority offensive players however, Philips dominated just as much as any offensive player did. Posting absurd sack numbers.

Justin Fields: He made both teams. The most efficient passer of the cycle, Fields rarely made mistakes. He was calculated and had no problem chucking it deep or methodically making his way down the field (no pun intended). However, he wasn't even who Kylo picked as his team's best player this cycle.

Tremaine Fox: He did not make the media team's HOF nor did HOF think he was his own's teams best player. However, it was clear that the league had tremoundous respect for the speedster WR. He is the only carry-over player to make the HOF.

Every Team's Best Player of the Cycle (Per that team's user)

  • Cowboys- Joshua Jackson
  • Eagles- Jalen Hurts
  • Commanders- Terry McLaurin
  • Giants- Ka'Darius Toney
  • Bills- Josh Allen
  • Dolphins- Jaelan Philips
  • Jets- DeAndre Swift
  • Patriots- Mac Jones
  • Titans- Derrick Henry
  • Colts- DeForrest Buckner
  • Jaguars- Travis Etienne
  • Chiefs- L'Jarius Sneed
  • Broncos- Justin Jefferson
  • Chargers- AJ Dillon
  • Raiders- Saquon Barkley
  • Seahawks- Deion Armstead
  • Rams- Malik Willis
  • Lions- TJ Hockenson
  • Bears- Justin Fields
  • Packers- AJ Dillon
  • Bears- DeAndre Hopkins
  • Falcons- Calvin Ridley
  • Bucs- Terrell Burgess
  • Steelers- Devin Bush
  • Bengals- Joe Burrow
  • Browns- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
  • Ravens- Lamar Jackson

What was something you learned about yourself or the league this cycle? These are some of the most notable answers.

  • "Already knew it, but this is an awesome league to be apart of"
  • "I have to pass much better to win consistently"
  • "I'm him"
  • "MSR has Top-Notch competition!"
  • "I learned that playing in a tougher/better division/conference doesn't make you better and help you win more"
  • "I need to make better plays on the ball on defense"
  • "How fun it can or cannot be is dependent on your division"
  • "Learned producing a show from top to bottom. Also learned to limit my prescence in gen chat"
  • "Adjusting to rule is difficult"
  • "I didn't really care about winning as long as others who I didn't want to see win, didn't win"
  • "I learned how to take a L"
  • "Taco sucks - Never pick a team based on other bum users and their statements and opinions"
  • "I am not an elite passer, running is my true calling"
  • "I'm better than what people think"
  • "When you can't stay motivated, stay consistent"
  • "Don't rule anyone out. Everyone is competitive in this league"
  • "Learned I have a long way to go to become elite"
  • "Don't leave and comeback. Lot of crybabies in the league."
  • "That I still suck at offense"

If you could go back before the cycle started and change 1 thing, what would it be? Some notable answers

  • "No Freight Train"
  • "Stricter Play Call Rules"
  • "Don't wait for the dumb scouting patch"
  • "No abilities"
  • "I'd prefer an earlier start. No scouting patch!"
  • "No escape artist"
  • "Fix Progression"
  • "Stricter PA Rules"
  • "Stricter Rule Enforcement"
  • "1 named play per half"
  • "Champs division, waste of a cycle to me"
  • "Stricter rules"
  • "Stricter play calls"
  • "No escape artist"
  • "No escape artist"
  • "Stricter 4th down rules"
  • "No abilities"

Among those in the team selection draft for this cycle, would you of picked the same team if you had to do it over? (All previous teams are still gone)

  • Yes (60%)
  • No (40%)

Had no idea to expect from this question but it was a near 50-50 split on if people regret their team or not. (For the record, I picked yes, I'd pick the Lions again, for everyone thinking I was gonna regret picking the Lions)

There you have it. How did the league do? What did they get wrong? Want to know more about the voting and all, feel free to message me and I can tell you.

Here are the season 6 predictions by MSR.

Thank you to the 18 people that voted. (# in () is how many votes they got). Season 2 predictions:

Super Bowl Winner:

  1. Bears (6)
  2. Falcons (5)
  3. Pats (2)

Super Bowl Loser:

  1. Dolphins/Pats (5)
  2. Bears (3)
  3. Titans (2)

Once again the Bears and Falcons are the Super Bowl favorites, this time with the Bears being the top favorite.

Highest Scoring Team:

  1. Falcons (7)
  2. Eagles/49ers/Pats (2)
  3. Lions/Bears/Rams/Browns/Dolphins (1)

The Falcons are one of the Super Bowl favorites mainly due to a near unstoppable offense.

Least Points Allowed:

  1. Bears/Dolphins (3)
  2. Panthers/Packers (2)
  3. Eagles/Jags/Lions/Pats/Saints/49ers/Bucs/Chargers (1)

Meanwhile, the Bears are the Super Bowl favorites mainly due to their stifling defense.

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bears/Falcons (17)
  2. Eagles/Packers (13)
  3. Lions (12)
  4. Redskins (8)
  5. Cowboys (7)

The Eagles loaded up in the offseason and with that comes a lot of faith in them from their peers.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Dolphins/Bengals (17)
  2. Pats (16)
  3. Broncos (14)
  4. Steelers/Titans (12)

Despite back to back championships, it appears not everyone thinks the Pats can even make it back to the playoffs, let alone the Super Bowl.

Who do you look forward to playing the most this season?

  1. Chiefs/Panthers (3)
  2. Jets/Eagles (2)
  3. Falcons/Colts/Browns/Broncos/49ers/Ravens/Raiders/Pats

It's no surprise that the top teams here are newcomers to MSR and face-cam players.

  1. Bears/Panthers (5)
  2. Dolphins (3)
  3. Packers/Pats (2)

The Panthers defense has earned a lot of respect after last year. Expect them to be tough again!

NFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Bears/49ers/Packers (22)
  2. Eagles/Falcons (20)
  3. Packers (11)
  4. Cards/Cowboys/Lions (10)

Lots of faith in the top 5 teams but there is much to debate about who will claim the final 2 spots.

AFC Playoff Teams:

  1. Pats (22)
  2. Chargers (21)
  3. Dolphins (19)
  4. Broncos/Titans (18)
  5. Steelers (14)
  6. Bengals/Jags (13)

Similar to the NFC, there's a race for the final 2 spots. Which 2 of these 3 will claim them?

What type of content do you prefer in MSR?

  1. League Wide Content (power rankings, draft prospects, this, etc.) (12)
  2. Team Specific Content (posting about your schedule, players, games, etc.) (5)
  • Examples of what others had to say: "I like a mixture of both but prefer to put out more league content because I think it brings more to MSR as a whole" "MSR Showdown" "Content is content"

What do you think? How did MSR do with their predictions?
